Streetcars in Portland are very easy to use. The
system is very new, so the cars are nice and
clean. The best thing about them is that they
are free in the center of town. You can ride
through downtown as much as you want, and
you don’t have to pay. If you go outside of
the downtown area, you can buy a ticket.
 Descriptive (based on language use)
The Big green house is old. It is located in the
historic center and it can’t be destroyed
because it is cultural heritage of the city.
 VOCABULARY is taught in situational and
linguistic context.
 Students can get enough experience of these
items to aSsimilate them.
 Traditional games are still very popular in American
