Our task was to recreate part of the Blair Witch Project horror film trailer. We added text stating three film students disappeared in the woods and their footage was later found. We filmed scenes in leaves to resemble woods and edited footage with a book, camera, and paper to add lighting. We recreated the acting of a female character by filming her face in dark lighting. To improve, we need to slow down and extend certain shots for clarity and atmosphere. Feedback indicated the voiceovers needed to be clearer and include a male voice, and editing could be faster with added screams. Some positive feedback noted similarities to the original trailer in dark lighting, locations, shot composition, and created suspense.

- 2. Lighting: the first picture we can see that the lighting is dark and we can vaguely see what is going on in the first image and creates a dark atmosphere like being present in a cave. The second picture we can see that the use infra red to see clearer what's there. Then the third picture shows a lighter image of Juno from the flame of the lighter where we can see a closer lighter image of the character and how she is scared and curious how to get out. Finally from the use of flashlight we can see a bit more of the scene and where they are revealing more about the cave and how empty it is. LIGHTING 1 2 3 4
- 3. Through all of clip 4 it is in the same location in the cave where they travel through different parts in hope to get out. This isn't an actual cave but was built for the specific film. Costume: the main costume was cave wear however Juno seemed to have more sporty wear compared to others. Beth was caving suitable wear but more simple suiting her as an English teacher. Props: this includes the helmets, headlights, climbing gear flashlights, lighter and camera which is all in use for the activity to help climb and see and also to protect them. LOCATION, COSTUME AND PROPS
- 4. Diegetic sound: sound of the water dripping, in the cave, speech between the characters, sound of the character moving through the cave and climbing along the bones. This is the sound which actually happens there and then when filming. The sound of the crawlers screaming would also be diegetic sound even though there would have been some editing towards that to make the scream a higher pitch it is still diegetic sound. Non diegetic sound: This isn't used much throughout this scene because they aim to make the scene realistic as possible so they would minimize the editing that is used and make it more natural and realistic because realistically there wouldn't be music in the scene, because you wouldn’t have music in the cave. SOUND
