Climate changes in Cameroon have led to disruption of the agricultural calendar and declining productivity. In northern regions, droughts and flooding threaten food security by impacting agriculture. Higher temperatures and fluctuating rainfall, combined with population growth, pose a serious risk to food supplies by reducing crop yields and agricultural output over time. A study analyzed how climate uncertainty affects farmers' investment and production decisions, and found that income is highly responsive to changes in rainfall and temperature. It also took farmers significant time periods to fully adjust crop levels, capital, labor, and fertilizer use in response to uncertainty and market changes.
