There are several types of poetry described in the document. Lyric poems are short and rhyming, usually written in first person. Concrete poems use word arrangement to create a picture related to the content. Haiku are Japanese poems with three non-rhyming lines describing nature. Limericks have five lines with the first, second and fifth rhyming, while acrostics spell out a word using the first letter of each line.

4.  Haiku Haiku poems are Japanese poems written in three lines that do not rhyme. Example: As the wind does blow across the trees I see the buds blooming in May

5. Limeric A Limerick poem has a stanza of 5 lines with the 1 st ,2 nd and 5 th usually rhyming with one another.

6. Acrostic Acrostic poem is a poem in which the first letter spells out a word.
