Toxicology aims to understand the adverse effects of
chemical compounds or physical agents on living organisms. For
chemicals, much information regarding safety testing of cosmetic
ingredients is now scattered in a plethora of safety evaluation
reports. Toxicologists in our university intend to collect this
information into a single repository. Their current approach uses
spreadsheets, does not scale well, and makes data curation and
querying cumbersome. Semantic technologies (e.g., RDF, OWL,
and Linked Data principles) would be more appropriate for
this purpose. However, this technology is not very accessible to
toxicologists without extensive training. In this paper, we report
on a tool that supports subject matter experts in the construction
of an RDF–based knowledge base for the toxicology domain. The
tool is using the jigsaw metaphor for guiding the subject matter
experts. We demonstrate that the jigsaw metaphor is a viable
option for generating RDF. Future work includes investigating
appropriate methods and tools for knowledge evolution and data
analysis.
Real-time eyeglass detection using transfer learning for non-standard facial...IJECEIAES
The aim of this paper is to build a real-time eyeglass detection framework based on deep features present in facial or ocular images, which serve as a prime factor in forensics analysis, authentication systems and many more. Generally, eyeglass detection methods were executed using cleaned and fine-tuned facial datasets; it resulted in a well-developed model, but the slightest deviation could affect the performance of the model giving poor results on real-time non-standard facial images. Therefore, a robust model is introduced which is trained on custom non-standard facial data. An Inception V3 architecture based pre-trained convolutional neural network (CNN) is used and fine-tuned using model hyper-parameters to achieve a high accuracy and good precision on non-standard facial images in real-time. This resulted in an accuracy score of about 99.2% and 99.9% for training and testing datasets respectively in less amount of time thereby showing the robustness of the model in all conditions.

You only look once model-based object identification in computer visionIAESIJAI
You only look once version 4 (YOLOv4) is a deep-learning object detection algorithm. It is used to decrease parameters and simplify network structures, making it suited for mobile and embedded device development. The YOLO detector can foresee an object's Class, bounding box, and probability of that Object's Class being found inside that bounding box. A probability value for each bounding box represents the likelihood of a given item class in that bounding box. Global features, channel attention, and special attention are also applied to extract more compelling information. Finally, the model combines the auxiliary and backbone networks to create the YOLOv4's entire network topology. Using custom functions developed upon YOLOv4, we get the count of the objects and a crop around the objects detected with a confidence score that specifies the probability of the thing seen being the same Class as predicted by YOLOv4. A confidence threshold is implemented to eliminate the detections with low confidence.
One of the largest challenges in chemistry today remains that of efficiently mining through vast amounts of data in order to elucidate the chemical structure for an unknown compound. The elucidated candidate compound must be fully consistent with the data and any other competing candidates efficiently eliminated without doubt by using additional data if necessary. It has become increasingly necessary to incorporate an in silico structure generation and verification tool to facilitate this elucidation process. An effective structure elucidation software technology aims to mimic the skills of a human in interpreting the complex nature of spectral data while producing a solution within a reasonable amount of time. This type of software is known as computer-assisted structure elucidation or CASE software. A systematic trial of the ACD/Structure Elucidator CASE software was conducted over an extended period of time by analysing a set of single and double-blind trials submitted by a global audience of scientists. The purpose of the blind trials was to reduce subjective bias. Double-blind trials comprised of data where the candidate compound was unknown to both the submitting scientist and the analyst. The level of expertise of the submitting scientist ranged from novice to expert structure elucidation specialists with experience in pharmaceutical, industrial, government and academic environments.

Damage Assessment System for Aircraft Structural Defects using Wavelet Transformijtsrd
Defects are often arises on the inner surface of aircraft structures, but most of conventional techniques can determine only the damages and cannot determine the degree of damage. Digital Image Processing and Wavelet Transform are used in this project. Characteristics parameters such as the length of the crack can be exactly detected to measure the faults of aircraft structure. Generally failures of different aircraft components and parts are revealed and examined by the use of non destructive examination methods. In further detailed explanation and interpretation of failures optical and scanning electron microscopy are used. This paper presents a new approach in automation for crack detection on pavement surface images. The method is based on the continuous wavelet transform. Then, wavelet coefficients maximal values are searched and their propagation through scales is analyzed. Finally, a post processing gives a binary image which indicates the presence or not of cracks on the pavement surface image. V. Akilan | S. Enhance iris segmentation method for person recognition based on image proces...TELKOMNIKA JOURNAL
The limitation of traditional iris recognition systems to process iris images captured in unconstraint environments is a breakthrough. Automatic iris recognition has to face unpredictable variations of iris images in real-world applications. For example, the most challenging problems are related to the severe noise effects that are inherent to these unconstrained iris recognition systems, varying illumination, obstruction of the upper or lower eyelids, the eyelash overlap with the iris region, specular highlights on pupils which come from a spot of light during captured the image, and decentralization of iris image which caused by the person’s gaze. Iris segmentation is one of the most important processes in iris recognition. Due to the different types of noise in the eye image, the segmentation result may be erroneous. To solve this problem, this paper develops an efficient iris segmentation algorithm using image processing techniques. Firstly, the outer boundary segmentation of the iris problem is solved. Then the pupil boundary is detected. Testes are done on the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Automation (CASIA) database. Experimental results indicate that the proposed algorithm is efficient and effective in terms of iris segmentation and reduction of time processing. The accuracy results for both datasets (CASIA-V1 and V4) are 100% and 99.16 respectively.

Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.

Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.
Using recycled concrete aggregates (RCA) for pavements is crucial to achieving sustainability. Implementing RCA for new pavement can minimize carbon footprint, conserve natural resources, reduce harmful emissions, and lower life cycle costs. Compared to natural aggregate (NA), RCA pavement has fewer comprehensive studies and sustainability assessments.
CW RADAR, FMCW RADAR, FMCW ALTIMETER, AND THEIR PARAMETERSveerababupersonal22
It consists of cw radar and fmcw radar ,range measurement,if amplifier and fmcw altimeterThe CW radar operates using continuous wave transmission, while the FMCW radar employs frequency-modulated continuous wave technology. Range measurement is a crucial aspect of radar systems, providing information about the distance to a target. The IF amplifier plays a key role in signal processing, amplifying intermediate frequency signals for further analysis. The FMCW altimeter utilizes frequency-modulated continuous wave technology to accurately measure altitude above a reference point.
