4. The King and the Prime Minister
• In a land far away, there was a King and his Prime
Minister.
• The King was fair and kind. The Prime Minister was a
good and wise man, and he always said that happiness
reigned because there was a good and just God, he
always did what was best for everyone. The King
followed the steps of wisdom from his Prime Minister
who always said: everything God does is good.
• Those were the words that made the King wise and
kind towards its people.

6. The King and the Prime Minister
• The King had two daily pastimes. One of them was working with
wood, making jars and sculptures and the other was riding
through the Woods every morning, in the company of his Prime
Minister.
• While riding, the two talked about the mysteries of life. The King
always sought explanations for their afflictions and those daily
departures, in the company of his wise Prime Minister, he found
comfort to your heart, often full of doubts and concerns.
• One day, the King was working in his workshop, sawing wood,
when, unexpectedly, the saw cut off his index finger. Desperate
and afflicted, he sent for his Prime Minister. He was hoping that
he could explain why God had allowed the accident to happen
with him, a good person, fair and honest.

8. The King and the Prime Minister
• However, to the king’s surprise, the Prime Minister,
rather than comfort him with words of encouragement
and solace, just repeated what he always said
everything God does is good.
• When hearing such an affront, the King, angry and
disconsolate, he ordered the guards to take him to jail.
• After the accident, the King's life was different. He had
no one to talk to and confide his thoughts but
continued with his daily pastimes, working wood and
riding every morning, but now alone.

10. The King and the Prime Minister
• One day, while riding to a distant corner of the forest, was
imprisoned by wild Indians. Taken to the tribe, tied up and
scared, the only thing that the King could do was pray and
ask God to give him protection and peace.
• Coming to the tribe, the King was surprised by a big party.
Drums and bells sounded, painted Indians danced around
an altar, where a priest remained sitting in full trance ...
everything was ready for the great feast of sacrifice to the
gods of the Indians.
• A small movement of the priest, a few Indians approached
the King, untied his hands and began to paint it with strong
colors and garish. The priest then approached and started
saying words that the King did not understand.

12. The King and the Prime Minister
• While dancing around the altar, the priest noted that the
King was missing one of the fingers on his hand. Angry and
frustrated, he ordered the King to be released because he
was incomplete, he could not be offered as a sacrifice to
the Gods.
• After being released, the King returned to the Castle. While
walking through the forest, He thought about what had
happened: “Really all that God does is good. If I hadn't lost
a finger, I would have lost my life.”
• A question, however, still disturbed the King. Which would
explain the permanence of his faithful Prime Minister in
prison, during all that time?

14. The King and the Prime Minister
• Would God be fair only to the King to his people?
• When he arrived at the Castle, the King ordered that
the Prime Minister was released and brought to his
presence. After all, it was impossible for him to
understand why God was so unfair to a man so kind.
• When the King saw his he told the Prime Minister what
had happened in the morning and said: “I now realize
that I lost a finger but I didn't lose my life. However, I
don't understand why God was not lenient with you.
How can this be good for you?”
15. The King and the Prime Minister
• The wise and patient friend then replied: “Your Highness
forgotten that we had a habit of riding together every
morning? What would have happened to me if I was in
his company in the forest today?
• Remember, I still have all my fingers.
• God does things that, some times, we cannot understand
and judge wrong, but in the future understand that all
was in our own benefit.”
• And finally concluded:
• “everything God does is good.”

Get all the students to line up and pass through the path. You can garnish the path with flowers and butterflies to make it pretty. After lining up the children in one end instruct them to go one by one slowly through the path stepping on the rocs. When the rock pops they must step out and answer one o the following questions.
