When the ruler refuses due to being wealthy, Jesus says it is very hard for the wealthy to enter heaven. However, with God all things are possible. The document reassures that those who follow Jesus will receive greater rewards both in this life and the afterlife.
This document discusses developing a spiritual plan of life using the That Man is You program. It provides details on the three stages of spiritual life - purgative, illuminative, and unitive. The document introduces a new mobile app created by sonarDesign to help participants access TMIY materials and customize a spiritual plan on their device with reminders and progress tracking.
This document discusses places of refuge during troubled times. It notes that people no longer fear God and cites scripture passages about humanity's sinfulness. It then discusses how God ordained cities of refuge for those who accidentally killed others to flee to under Mosaic Law. Several Bible passages are cited that portray God and the church as places of refuge. The document advocates for Amazing Grace Church to emulate the qualities of a refuge - being a sanctuary, lifting others up, welcoming fellowship, and sharing the gospel mission with joy. It concludes by giving glory to God.
Article in The Times of Israel by Andy Blumenthal: When we have faith in G-d, it generally means that we believe that He created us and that He is the Master of the Universe. However, faith does not necessarily imply trust. Trust in G-d means that we believe that He not only created us, but that He sustains us and that there is Divine Providence in this world. When we trust in G-d, we believe that G-d is close to us and has a personal relationship with each and every one of us, and actually to everything in the world.
Becoming A Servant of the Most High GodAlbert Kang
This document summarizes Moses' journey from being a prince in Egypt to becoming the leader who delivered the Israelites from slavery. It describes how Moses grew up in Egypt but saw the oppression of his people, which led him to take action too early by killing an Egyptian taskmaster. As a result, Moses had to flee into the desert where God trained him as a shepherd for 40 years to humble him and make him fully dependent on God. After this time of preparation, God called Moses to return to Egypt and lead the Israelites out of slavery through many signs and wonders. Moses was reluctant but obeyed God who promised to be with him and empowered him to carry out the deliverance despite his weaknesses.

the only of the only, Biblical Uniqueness, Multi-Purpose of World Ministry T...franktsao4
What the Bible will be criticized by the world is its uniqueness, but as a Christian, we should be grateful to have such uniqueness, so that we will not labor and be burdened alone, and go astray. Unlike the things of the world, all roads lead to Rome, but after careful research, we will know that the world has no way to give us suitable answers, which makes many problems difficult to solve later. But the whole Bible has a unique purpose to address the problems
The document discusses the key messages of Jesus and Paul regarding the "good news." [1] Jesus proclaimed the good news as the kingdom of God. [2] Paul called the good news the gospel of Jesus Christ and the message of salvation. [3] The document explores what the kingdom of God means, using examples from the Bible like the parable of the sower and passages from Daniel that reference God's eternal kingdom.
This document discusses the difference between useless information and practical wisdom. It examines a passage from James that talks about obtaining wisdom from God. The passage can be divided into two parts: the first addresses wisdom from God, defining it as sound judgment for daily living that comes from fearing God. The second part discusses the consequences of doubting God's intentions in imparting wisdom - those who doubt are unstable, like waves tossed about. To receive wisdom, one must ask God in faith without doubting, as doubting questions God's good character and promises.
The document is a sermon about Jesus' parables of the hidden treasure and the fine pearl. It discusses how the kingdom of heaven is like finding a valuable treasure or pearl and being willing to sacrifice everything to obtain it. It encourages believers to seek wisdom, understanding, and a closer relationship with God above all earthly treasures, which are fleeting. It also addresses how worry arises when our treasures, vision, and master are not properly prioritized on spiritual over material things.
Jesus encounters a rich young ruler who asks what good deed he must do to inherit eternal life. Jesus tells him to keep the commandments. When the man says he has done so, Jesus tells him to sell his possessions, give to the poor, and follow him. The man leaves sorrowfully because he is unwilling to give up his wealth. Jesus then tells his disciples that it is difficult for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Wealth can become an idol that replaces God as the focus and master of one's life.
This document is a sermon from First Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi about Jesus' encounter with the rich young ruler in Matthew 19:16-26. The sermon discusses how the ruler asked Jesus what good deed he must do to have eternal life. Jesus tells him to keep the commandments, and when the ruler says he has done so, Jesus tells him to sell all his possessions, give to the poor, and follow him. The ruler leaves sadly because he was very wealthy. Jesus then tells the disciples that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Wealth can become an idol that takes priority over God. True salvation is only possible through God's grace, not human works or merit.
1. The document is a message about having faith and taking action. It encourages moving beyond just believing to demonstrating trust in God through diligent work and good habits.
2. It references biblical passages about having faith like Abraham, Isaac, and Psalms 20. But notes faith without works is dead.
3. The message exhorts having a plan, facing challenges one day at a time, keeping the right friends, changing bad habits, and working hard to "fly" and achieve God-given destiny.
Palm Sunday was a home-run for Jesus...but not the kind the cheering crowds were thinking about. Palm Sunday was the unveiling, the apocalypse of the real Jesus who now was about to finish what His Father started when He sent Him to earth...for us.

The document discusses the relationship between wealth, poverty, and spirituality. It addresses the common notion that being poor leads to greater holiness by removing attachment to material possessions. However, it argues that stewardship of wealth, using resources to help others, can allow one to do more good than living in poverty. Being poor does not inherently make one a better Christian. What matters most is one's relationship with God, not their economic status. Riches can be deceitful if one's trust is in money rather than God, but poverty does not prevent delusion or guarantee faithfulness.
The document provides an overview of Jesus' parables from the Bible. It defines a parable as a short story that teaches a moral or spiritual lesson. Jesus often used parables as a teaching tool to convey important messages about the kingdom of God in an engaging way. The document examines several of Jesus' famous parables, including the parables of the sower, the Good Samaritan, and the workers in the vineyard. It analyzes the key characters, settings, and messages within each parable.
This sermon discusses the sins of pride and rejoicing in the misery of others. It analyzes passages from Ezekiel that prophesy God's judgment against neighboring nations including Ammon and Tyre for these sins. The sermon defines pride as arrogance, conceit, and self-exaltation that attributes glory due to God alone. It argues there is a difference between good pride in accomplishments and sinful pride that is rebellion against God. The sermon concludes by contrasting pride, which focuses on self-glory, with humility, which turns attention to God's glory and serving others.
David seeks to show kindness to any surviving relatives of Saul to honor his friendship with Jonathan. He discovers that Jonathan's son Mephibosheth is alive but living in poverty. David summons Mephibosheth and promises to restore his lands and provide for him at the royal table for the rest of his life due to David's covenant with Jonathan. Mephibosheth lives in Jerusalem and is cared for by David's provision, a picture of God's grace and salvation for those who do not deserve it.
150405 eng wealth in the bible by steve millereaglepointcf
This document provides an introduction and overview of Steve Miller's background and experience working in business banking in Malaysia. It discusses what he has learned about Chinese business culture and wealth compared to other cultures, focusing on long-term thinking, diligent saving, conservatism, and common financial weaknesses. The document then covers biblical perspectives on wealth, including that God is not against wealth if pursued with wisdom, the importance of hope in God over wealth, and using wealth to help advance God's kingdom.
The document provides commentary and discussion on Old Testament passages from Deuteronomy and 2 Samuel. It discusses the importance of remembering God's commandments and not forgetting Him. It encourages filling one's home with reminders of gospel principles through artwork, books, and music. Failing to do so could lead to spiritual consequences like perishing from sin.
The document discusses Jesus' teachings about the dangers of wealth and materialism, citing stories of the rich young ruler and the rich fool to illustrate how money can become an idol that distracts from God. It also provides characteristics of millionaires, noting that true wealth is created through spending less than one earns and investing the difference over the long run rather than pursuing quick riches.
David seeks to show kindness to any surviving relatives of King Saul in honor of his friendship with Saul's son Jonathan. A servant named Ziba informs David that Jonathan's son Mephibosheth, who is lame in both feet, is living in Lo Debar. David has Mephibosheth brought from Lo Debar and tells him he will restore his grandfather Saul's lands and allow him to eat at the king's table always in honor of his covenant with Jonathan. Mephibosheth lives in Jerusalem from that time on under David's provision.
This document presents the genealogy of Jesus Christ as recorded in Matthew 1:1-17. It lists the ancestors of Jesus from Abraham through King David and then from the exile of Judah to Babylon through to Jesus. There are 14 generations listed from Abraham to David, another 14 from David until the exile, and then 14 more from the exile until Jesus. The genealogy establishes Jesus's lineage back to Abraham and King David, fulfilling messianic prophecies.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375
The Book of Ruth is included in the third division, or the Writings, of the Hebrew Bible. In most Christian canons it is treated as one of the historical books and placed between Judges and 1 Samuel.
The Book of Samuel is a book in the Hebrew Bible, found as two books in the Old Testament. The book is part of the Deuteronomistic history, a series of books that constitute a theological history of the Israelites and that aim to explain God's law for Israel under the guidance of the prophets.

The Enchantment and Shadows_ Unveiling the Mysteries of Magic and Black Magic...Phoenix O
This manual will guide you through basic skills and tasks to help you get started with various aspects of Magic. Each section is designed to be easy to follow, with step-by-step instructions.
5. • What
• were your humble
circumstances?
Where were
you born? How
did you live? No
doubt, most of us had a lot less
than we do now.
6. • Most of us were raised in somewhat humble circumstances as
far as this world is concerned, but we must always know that
there is something better than greatness or even great
wealth!
• Matthew 16:26 Jesus
said, “What shall it profit a
man if he gains the whole
world and loses his own soul?
Or what shall a man give in
exchange for his soul?”
7. • One day, a
wealthy family
man took his
son on a trip to
the country so
he could have
his son see
how poor
country people
were.
9. • When they
got back
home the
father asked
the son,
"What did
you think of
the trip"?
10. • The son replied,
"Very nice
Dad." Dad said,
"Did you notice
how poor they
were?" "Yes".
"So, what did
you learn from
this trip?"
11. • "I’ve learned that we
have one dog in the
house, and they had
four.
12. • We have a fountain and
imported lamps in our
gardenThey have a
stream with no end
and the stars in the sky.
13. • Our garden
goes to the
edge of our
property, they
have the entire
horizon as
their back
yard."
14. • At the end of the
son’s reply the
father was
speechless and
then his son
said, "Thank you
Dad, for
showing me
how poor we
really are."
15. • Bill Gates of
Microsoft is still
number one in the
money game at
$59 billion but he
won’t be number
one when he dies.
Wealth will meaning nothing to
God at death. Bill Gates needs
Jesus just like everybody else.
16. The Rich and the Poor..What’s the
meaning?
•1- Humble means high
•2- Rich means low
•3- Perseverance means
salvation
17. I. HUMBLE MEANS HIGH
• I Peter 5:5-6 “God opposes the
proud but gives grace to the
humble.” Humble yourselves,
therefore, under God’s mighty
hand, that he may lift you up
in due time.”
18. • If we go down, we will also
go up! If we humble
ourselves before God, He
will lift us up. But the problem is this: most
people don’t like to humble themselves before anyone,
including God! We don’t like to admit that we could be wrong.
We don’t like to say, “I’m sorry. I was wrong.” And even to
God.
19. • Matthew 20:26-28 “Not so
with you. Instead, whoever
wants to become great
among you must be your
servant, and whoever
wants to be first must be
your slave
20. • — just as the
Son of Man did
not come to be
served, but to
serve, and to
give his life as
a ransom for
many.”
21. • Greatness
comes through
being a humble
servant. We go
up by going
down. The
humble will be
exalted and the
exalted will be
humbled.
22. • Someone told this
story about the
famous inventor
Samuel Morse who
was once asked if
he ever
encountered
situations where
he didn’t know
what to do.
23. • Morse responded,
"More than once,
and whenever I
could not see my
way clearly, I knelt
down and prayed
to God for light and
understanding."
24. • Morse received
many honors
from his
invention of the
telegraph but
felt
undeserving.
25. • He said, "I have made
a valuable application
of electricity not
because I was
superior to other men
but solely because of
God, who meant it for
mankind, must reveal
it to someone and He
was pleased to reveal
it to me."
26. •Morse was honored but
only because he first
humbled himself before
the Lord.
• When we humble ourselves before the Lord, seeking to
honor Him, we will experience the greatest “high” there
is. Pride brings people down. Humility lifts people up.
27. • Proverbs 11:2 “When pride comes, then
comes disgrace, but with humility comes
wisdom.”
• Proverbs 16:18 “Pride goes before
destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.”
• Proverbs 29:23 “A man’s pride brings him low,
but a man of lowly spirit gains honor.”
28. 2.RICH MEANS LOW
• But the one
who is rich
should take
pride in his low
position,
because he will
pass away like a
wild flower. (James
1:10)
29. • 11 For the sun
rises with
scorching heat
and withers the
plant; its
blossom falls
and its beauty is
destroyed. In the
same way, the rich man will
fade away even while he
goes about his business.
30. • I Timothy 6:6-10
• 6 But godliness with
contentment is great gain.
7 For we brought nothing
into the world, and we can
take nothing out of it.
31. • I Timothy 6:17-19
• 17 Command those who are rich in this
present world not to be arrogant nor to put
their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain,
but to put their hope in God, who richly
provides us with everything for our
enjoyment.
32. • 18 Command
them to do
good, to be
rich in good
deeds, and to
be generous
and willing to
share
33. • 19 In this way
they will lay up
treasure for
themselves as a
firm foundation
for the coming
age, so that they
may take hold of
the life that is truly
life.
34. • Andrew Carnegie, the wealthy steel magnate
of a past generation, once remarked to a
group of men that he did not feel the need of
prayer
35. • . “What is the use of praying?” he asked. “I
already have everything I want. What more
could I ask for?” One of his hearers remarked:
“Perhaps, sir, you might pray for humility.”
36. • Rich means low.
Possessing great
wealth means
nothing. The
rich will be
brought low and
die just like
everyone else.
37. • Possessing
wealth
doesn’t keep
a person
from aging.
What’s the
idea? We all
age.
38. • We all are brought low in death, even the
high and the mighty, even the rich folks.
Therefore, they need to make preparation for
death and there’s only one way to do that!
Jesus is the way!
39. 3.PERSEVERANCE MEANS SALVATION
• 12 Blessed is the man who
perseveres under trial,
because when he has stood
the test, he will receive the
crown of life that God has
promised to those who love
him.
40. • There is only way to do a job
and that is to finish it. There is
only one way to run a
marathon and that is to finish
it. There may be a certain amount of glory in competing but
the real joy comes at the finish. This is true for many things in
life: jobs, sports, marriage, raising kids, and seeking the Lord.
41. • Matthew 24:12-13
“Because of the
increase of
wickedness, the
love of most will
grow cold, but he
who stands firm to
the end will be
saved.”
42. • Hebrews 10:36
“You need to
persevere so
that when you
have done the
will of God, you
will receive what
he has
promised.”
43. • Hebrews 11:24-27
24 By faith
Moses, when he
had grown
up, refused to be
known as the son
of Pharaoh’s
daughter
44. • 25 He chose to
be mistreated
along with the
people of God
rather than to
enjoy the
pleasures of
sin for a short
time.
45. • 26 He regarded
disgrace for the
sake of Christ as
of greater value
than the
treasures of
Egypt, because he
was looking
ahead to his
reward
46. • 27 By faith he
left Egypt, not
fearing the
king’s anger;
he persevered
because he
saw him who is
invisible."
47. •He persevered because
he saw Him who is
invisible. DO YOU SEE
HIM WHO IS INVISIBLE?
Can you see Him through the eyes of faith? That’s the only
way we can see Him, BUT we must see Him if we are going
to persevere to the end!
49. • Let me hold
lightly things
of this earth;
• Transient
treasures,
what are they
worth?
50. • Moths can
corrupt them,
rust can decay;
• All their bright
beauty fades in
a day.
51. • Let me hold
fast, Lord, thi
ngs of the
skies;
• Quicken my
vision, open
my eyes!
52. • Show me Thy
riches, glory
and grace,
• Boundless as
time
is, endless as
space...
53. • Let me hold
lightly things
that are
mine—
• Lord, Thou
dost give me
all that is
Thine!
54. • How troubled are we now?
Because of loving all the things
on earth which could not bring us
eternal peace…How awesome life
is if we have PEACE from Christ!
