EPROJECT MANAGEMENT 2007 Goals Complete all Processes Integrate “just enough” process and technology to improve project delivery and resource utilization across the Business / Operations and IT organizations.  Create a centralized, focused set of tools team to develop support consistent methodologies, tools, and reporting standards in portfolio, project & resource management. Deploy expert project leaders to on-going initiatives to insure rapid adoption of project management best practices while owning a responsibility to the business. Complete a technology enabled processes to manage and report the enterprise project portfolio.  Establish a foundation of project management expertise to support future business growth.
Enterprise Project Management – “R&D Prerequisites”  Dependencies Stakeholder buy in to continue PRP. RISKS The key prerequisite to building to any Enterprise Management System is a PMO Build. Without PMO Process, Methodology and Project Management Standards the EPM will lack process, procedures and have no formal governance. Recommendation Gain Stakeholder buy in to build “Process” whether Project or Product Management. “Portfolio Management” is the highest level following one Methodology. Set a Goal for Maturity level and Link to CMM2 or use as guideline a Process Level Measurement. Request an External “Project Management Audit” in order to see failures of the current state. Begin Cultural change.

Recommendation to Review selected Portfolio Module Implement IT Portfolio Module for IT (note it has Invoice functions for vendors and licensing:  Pilot to IT  2.  Review current Portfolio Management module and determine if the IT Module is specific to IT as Clarity has developed.
Recommendation to Implement Project Portfolio with Scenario Planning  Implement the Project Portfolio management Module for the Business. Create Scenario planning for discovery phases and link to the process module and workflows .
