This document contains 36 slides that provide an icon library of Cisco products, network devices, buildings, people, and other miscellaneous items. The icons are organized into categories such as Cisco products, optical networking, telepresence, security, WAN, LAN, media types, buildings, users, and more. Each slide contains numerous icons in black and subdued color schemes for representation in presentations.
Network slicing is a method of creating multiple unique logical and virtual networks on a common multi-domain infrastructure.
A different approach to view is that network slicing overlays multiple virtual networks on a shared network. Each part of the network can have its own logical topology, security rules and performance characteristics-within the limits imposed by the basic physical network.
Network slicing is a key function of 5G.
5G network slicing is a virtual network architecture that belongs to the same family as Software-defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV).
The benefits of network slicing are:
It can help network operators reduce expenditure (OPEX) and capital expenditure (CAPEX).
It greatly improves the operational efficiency and time to market for delivering 5G network services.
A single network can be used to provide various services according to user needs and various use cases.
Network operators can allocate the proper amount of required resources as per network slice.
It overcomes all the shortcomings of the most popular QoS solution "DiffServ".

Microsoft IT enables employees to bring their own devices to work. IT distributes personal hardware budgets to internal departments. We have worked hard to make IT-standard devices be compelling and easy to acquire, but teams can buy what they want. We have clear practices related to support based on the device.
We expanded our device support with the growth of tablets and smart phones. We believe internal users should opt into being managed by IT, where they give up some control in order to get more access to corporate resources. For example, if the device doesn't have TPM-enforced bit locker and multi-factor authentication, the user can't get to sensitive data. We recommend Windows-based devices over others due to usability and security, and we provide guidance to employees with personal devices. That said, we have more than 10,000 iOS and Android devices on our network, and many more Macs (Microsoft has software for the Macintosh and a dedicated business group). Microsoft is a front-runner in enterprise voice. And that’s not just marketing fluff: Gartner, an independent research group, has labeled us a “Leader,” which is the highest grouping, under their renowned “Magic Quadrant” methodology in three categories: unified communications, corporate telephony, and web conferencing.
The numbers speak volumes, too. We’re No. 1 in new voice seats sold, while 79% of U.S. enterprises are either currently deploying or planning to deploy Skype for Business, including telephony.
Skype for Business is the foundation of the Microsoft unified communications strategy, providing voice, video, and meetings to our customers both on-premises and in the cloud.
Across the Skype infrastructure, which includes Skype for Business and the consumer version of Skype, organizations and consumers around the world use 3 billion calling minutes and 1 billion meeting minutes in Skype every day.
As more organizations are moving their communications to the cloud with Skype for Business, we’ve seen 200% commercial growth over the past year. Audio conferencing with Skype for Business is now available in more than 90 countries.
And Skype for Business and communications are core to Microsoft Office 365, which currently has more than 100 million monthly active users.
The Microsoft success and experience in this space is recognized by analysts, including Gartner. 2017 marks the 12th year we have been identified as a leader in the Magic Quadrant for Unified Communications.
