Circular type sintering machines are usually used for blast furnaces under 200m3 due to their high performance to cost ratio, short construction periods, and improved production environment and labor conditions. They can achieve sintering ratios of 70-80%. The sinter plant includes areas for raw materials, crushing, mixing, sintering, and product screening and transfer. Sinter types are classified based on their CaO/SiO2 ratio as non-self fluxing, self-fluxing, or high basicity. Raw materials include iron ore, fluxes like limestone and dolomite, and fuels like coke.
