2. GLOBALIZATION:
 Definition: Globalization (or globalization) is the process of international
integration arising from the interchange of world views, products, ideas, and
other aspects of culture.
 Characteristics: Some characteristics of globalization are: free trade,
liberalization, and economic activities. Some others are: border-less globe,
composite processes, and multi-dimensional processes.Then there is:
connectivity, top-down processes, and global state.
 Importance: By integrating students from all different areas of the globe in a
classroom, they will gain an understanding of one another's culture.This can be
incorporated into the classroom agenda through active study.
 Role in 21t Century Learning: Graduating students will need the higher order
thinking skills such as global literacy, and the knowledge of people and cultures
outside of the United States to succeed in the 21st century workplace.

3. IMPLEMENTINGTECHNOLOGY
 QR: Each student could create a QR to teach their classmates about a different
culture or county outside the United States.
 Webquest: Students could be placed into groups.Then each group could then
create an interactive webquest to aid in their peers learning about different
countries.
 YouTubeVideo: Each student could teach a specific cultural trend or tradition
from their studied culture to the class via aYouTube video.
 Blogs: Students could connect with a student from another country, discuss, and
contrast their culture and traditions.
 Photoshop: Students could edit a photo of themselves to make it seem as if they
were actually in a different country.

4. APPLICATION: JOB MARKET
 To explain the importance of globalization and 21st century education students
will research how the job market has changed over the past 100 years.Through
the subject of history, students will explore and compare the differences and
similarities between the jobs from 100 years ago, to the 21st century jobs today.
 Students may use computers, iPads, personal interviews, videos and any other
resources they please to compile their research.
 They will then create a podcast explaining in their own words how the job market
has changed.They will discuss the skills needed 100 years ago, along with
discussing how they differ from the skills needed today.
 They will also need to discuss the actual jobs that were most popular 100 years
ago and compare them to the most popular 21st century jobs today.

5. CONCLUSION
• To teach globalization an educator should incorporate
certain characteristics.These would be being able to
adapt, being able to communicate effectively, being
able to be a learner, being a visionary to your students,
being a leader, being a model, being able to
collaborate with others, and being a risk taker.
• You must embody all of these characteristics, and pass
them on to the children in your classroom.The more
they know about globalization, the more they will
know about other cultures and people around the
planet.
