To edit a mountain image for a Lynda project, the author used various cropping and transformation tools in Photoshop. They cropped the image, increased the canvas size, used perspective crop to adjust the angle, straightened sides with free transform, and made non-destructive edits by converting to a smart object before scaling, skewing, and rotating the image to achieve the desired perspective effect.

1. To complete the Lynda project, I used the options of:

First I found the mountain image. Then, I used crop to include the part of the image that I wanted. I then
used the making the canvas bigger by keeping the pixels of the image so it can be shifted around, just in
case. I copied the image, pasted it, and then used the perspective crop to make the image go into the
perspective of the left side of the picture. After that, I straightened the sides of the copied image to be
sure they were straight. I used and scaling, skewing, and rotating to slightly turn the image to make it
look more angled, but before doing that, I made that copy a smart object and made nondestructive
transformations. Finally, I changed the opacity of the bottom image to bring out the transformation in
the top one.
