The document discusses several aspects of youth ministry, including the importance of young people staying rooted in their traditions and elders while also embracing their energy and vision for the future. It emphasizes creating welcoming environments for youth, engaging them in religious activities as well as arts and sports, and bringing ministry to the popular spaces young people already inhabit. The overall message is that youth ministry requires seeing young people's dignity, accompanying them, and empowering them to be missionaries in their own way.
This talks about how a relationship with God leads us to a life of humility. Humility enables us to seek godly wisdom that enables us to live the most productive and peaceful life possible.
CHRISTUS VIVIT - A letter that shakes us, from Pope Francis to young people Enrique Soros
This is an excerpt of the motivating Apostolic Exhortation CHRISTUS VIVIT, of Pope Francis to young people.
We have given preference to the text regarding the pastoral care of the youth. We believe that it is of essential importance to advance as a Church that welcomes, that receives young people in their own reality, and that motivates them to leadership, to evangelize.

Matthew: The King and His Kingdom: Mt. 16.21 28Stephen Palm
Following Peter’s bold confession that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. Our Lord takes this opportunity to prepare the disciples for his coming death that will take place in Jerusalem, where he will suffer greatly at the hands of the Jewish religious leaders, who have sought to destroy him all along. But the victory belongs to the King because he will be raised on the third day, defeating death and securing our salvation. This declaration drives Peter to stand between Christ and the cross to prevent him from fulfilling his role as the suffering servant. Outwardly Peter’s actions seem noble, but inwardly they are motivated by a spirit of error that comes from the prince of this world. Knowing the thoughts and hearts of men, Jesus rebukes Peter for being a mouthpiece for the devil. Turning from his death to discipleship, Jesus tells the twelve that if anyone wishes to follow him, they had better count the cost before they build because a life of discipleship is a life of denying yourself. Where taking up your cross means letting go of the pleasures of this world. The reward for faithful living does not come in this life but comes when we get to glory.

Reformed & Reforming: Christian Vocation in the 21st CenturyGreg Klimovitz
Christian vocation can be framed as our individual and corporate call to bear witness to the Good News of Jesus Christ in our particular time and place. While true of disciples throughout the ages, the present realities of the twenty-first century dare us to embrace a renewed, adaptive, and intersectional understanding of our vocation rooted in a conversant theological traditioning of our faith that speaks into our cities, neighborhoods, and larger world. This work invites all to reimagine how our gifts, talents, passions, entrepreneurial ideas, artistic expressions, and public professions can be pursued in light of our central identity as the people of God called and sent into the world.

Renewed in Grace
The Book of Joshua is the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, and is the first book of the Deuteronomistic history, the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile.
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

6. DREAMS AND VISIONS
The old dream dreams, and the young see visions. How do the
two complement one another.
Acts: 2:17 I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh, and your sons
and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see
visions and your old men shall dream dreams
7. TAKING RISKS TOGETHER
Old people look at life closely, often thy instinctively know what lies behind
the tangled threads, and they recognize what God can create even out of our
mistakes.
If we journey together , young and old we can be firmly rooted in the
present , revisit the past and look to the future.
8. 7.YOUTH MINISTRY
Young people frequently fail to find in our usual programmes a response to
their concerns, their needs, their problems and issues.
Entire community has to be involved in evangelizing them and to take on a
greater role in pastoral outreach.
Young people themselves are agents of youth ministry, need to be helped and
guided, but the same time left free to develop new approaches, with creativity.
Help the young people to use their insight, ingenuity and knowledge to address
the issues and concerns of others young people in their own language.
9. It does not matter where they are coming from or what labels
they have received whether “conservative” or “liberal”, “traditional”
or “progressive”. What is important is that we make use of
everything to bare good fruit and effectively communicates the joy of
the Gospel.
No one should be excluded or exclude themselves

10. MAIN COURSES OF
ACTION
Two important approaches need to stand out in youth ministry.
The first is outreach and the second is growth.
Outreach refers to reaching out to those who are outside the
Church through various means like social media, songs, video, songs
and other means which are able to touch the hearts of young people.
Growth refers to those already inside the Church who should
experience all the more the love in the Christian life as they deepen
too on Christian doctrine and morality
11. Christian doctrine should focus on the development of the kerygma
with morality focusing on the importance of fraternal love.
All Christian formation consists of entering more deeply into the
kerygma and incarnating it ever more fully in our lives.
Youth ministry should always include occasions fore renewing and
deepening our personal experience of the love of god and the living
Christ. Can do this in a variety of ways: testimonies, songs, moments of
adoration, reflection on the sacred scriptures, social network

12. SUITABLE
ENVIRONMENTS
Our institutions better equipped to be more welcoming to young
people . Since so many have real sense of being orphaned.
Many young people today feel that they have inherited the failed
dreams of their parents and grandparents, dreams betrayed by injustice,
social violence, selfishness and lack of concern for others.
To create a “ home” is to create “ a family”. A home as we all know,
demands that everyone work together. No one can be indifference or
stand apart, since each is a stone needed to build the home.
13. Ask God to grant us the grace to learn how to be patient, to
forgive one another , to start over each day . To create strong bonds
requires confidence and trust nurtured daily by patience and
forgiveness.

14. YOUTH MINISTRY IN
EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS
Institutions play an important role in Youth Ministry. These should be
welcoming and be like a real home and family for young people.
He should be placed where young people can come and go. The preservation
and or establishment of oratories and youth centers should thus be promoted.
Also, educational institutions like schools and universities should be maintained
and these should not only give academic formation but also cultivate the kerygma
and be engaged in cultural formation
15. Whilst these institutions should engage in various activities like
sports and art, nevertheless, the Word of the Lord, the Eucharist,
Reconciliation and the importance of the lives of the saints should
never be forgotten.

16. AREAS NEEDING TO BE
DEVELOPED
Silence and closeness to god
Adore the blessed sacrament
Pray with the word of god
Open to contemplative prayer
Help them embark on this precious experience
17. Arts
Music
Sports
Education and formation
Sufferings
CONTINUED…
18. A “POPULAR” YOUTH
MINISTRY
Youth Ministry should not be limited to what we are familiar with but
should also go to the popular spaces where young people already are.
This forms part of the outreach posture and it is in such spaces that
the Church can be seen as keeping open doors.
These popular spaces will allow for the welcoming of those with a
different vision of life and those belonging to other religions or even out
of religion. The important thing to keep before our eyes is that all young
people are in God’s heart and thus in the heart of the Church.
19. Our duty is that make them to feel that Jesus is walking with them
in all the walks of life.(Emmaus)
They should not be looked down on, but encouraged and
promoted.

20. ALWAYS MISSIONARIES
Who are most frail, limited and troubled can be missionaries in their
own way.
A young person who makes a pilgrim age to ask Our Lady for help,
and invites a friend or companion along, by that single gesture is being a
good missionary.
Youth ministry is always missionary.
As they are familiar with social net works, they should be encouraged
to fill them with god , fraternity and commitment.
21. The family should be the first place of accompaniment
youth ministry can present the ideal of life in Christ as the process of
building a house on rock.
The community has an important role in the accompaniment of
young people. It collectively responsible for accepting, motivating,
encouraging and challenging them.
church educational institutions are too accompany the youth.
All this accompaniment could help them to enrich their lives in Jesus
