This talks about how a relationship with God leads us to a life of humility. Humility enables us to seek godly wisdom that enables us to live the most productive and peaceful life possible.

Developing a right attitude about stewardship. There is more to this than "the Lord loves a cheerful giver." Part 2 of a 3 part series on the Christian and stewardship.
"The 20 sessions of this seminar present 26 Biblical guidelines for making good decisions in life. The importance of understanding the distinction between God's sovereign will and God's moral will is presented and the means that God uses to direct our path is explained." The content is all theirs, I just put it in a format for my own learning and am sharing it.
Tithing and offerings are two interesting subjects, which many people have different meanings and applications. While tithing and offering are certainly biblical concepts, some people teaches that tithe is a command and offering is a sacrificial ‘will’ of a Christian; some also teaches that these are not so. What does the Bible teaches regarding tithing and offerings under the New Covenant?
In order to understand how tithing fits (or doesn't fit) into the life of a Christian or a religious person, we must first examine tithing as it was originally commanded, its meaning, and its purpose. Offerings which sometimes interchangeably defined to be tithes; one needs to understand the meaning of sacrifice, free will, giving, and sharing.
This book explains in detail: the doctrines, the command, the culture, the principles, and giving of tithes and offerings. It also outlines the most frequently asked questions on tithing, offerings, and giving.

The question “Why am I here?” is so common it is almost a cliche. Sadly, few turn to God’s word to find what He says about why He created us. Our history shows that when we do our own will, it is displeasing to God. Solomon reminds us that our purpose is to fear God and keep His commandments: we must learn to follow God’s will on our lives to be pleasing to Him. His will includes: 1) Our Sanctification; 2) Discerning His Will; 3) Doing God; and, 4) Giving Thanks.
Tit 2:11-14 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

True Greatness; The Battle of Humility vs PrideNick Skytland
A discussion at Clear Creek Community Church given on 29 August 2010 on the topic of Humility. This presentation is based on C.J. Mahaney's book "Humility: True Greatness", which is a relatively short book, but one that is packed with great biblical insight and practical application for our lives. The book is highly recommended for anyone who wants to understand true greatness.
Who do we trust the most, God or man? God's plan for us is simple and it includes, peace, joy, happiness, freedom, prosperity and life. Man's plan has none of those and if you do find any of those in this world, it will only be for a short period of time.
INTRODUCING MY 'OVERCOMING ALL ODDS' BOOK
Anyone who has ever become anything worth writing home about has had to handle fire and brimstone with naked hands, boldly face all obstacles and adversities with courage and determination to score handful of victories. One of the most horrible feelings is being unfit and looking bulky. Shedding dozen kilograms, lowering the cholesterol levels and reducing the BMI is serious work. You have to endure regular and disciplined exercise, embrace new lifestyles and moment of ridicule before you get that appealing body shape that is fit and admired by many. Just as we develop our physical muscles through overcoming opposition - such as lifting weights and regular exercise - we develop our character muscles by overcoming challenges and adversity. These odds are very instrumental in shaping our character and personality in pursuit of our destiny. Some of them leave scars, causes loss and paint a groom picture of a hopeless destiny but faced with a positive attitude they become a story of victory and a purpose full life. You shouldn't give up. Fight for yourself and who you are. You've got to go through the worst times in life to get the best. You’ve got to look at challenges with a victor’s mentality. Purpose that the adversity will not leave you bitter but better. The fire will not consume you but refine you to a pure and precious jewel.
I have been a member for many years of a Committee known as the Nairobi Security group which comprises of a team of experts from Police, Fire Brigade, UN security Council, National Disaster Management Unit, National Disaster Operation Center, Ambulance companies among other safety and security agencies and when sharing with the experts who you might think are enjoying every bit of their living you realize that they all have a fair share of tribulations that they go through. This includes even the Governors, Cabinet Secretaries, Bishops and even the Presidents. Living in the State House or riding a personal jet doesn’t guarantee you immunity to pain and loss. Even the accomplished suffer setbacks sometimes. The more bitter the lessons, the greater the successes will be. Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of overcomers. You have to Trace it! Face it! Overcome it!
In my past writings more so in my Book Behind the Scenes, I have shared many case studies on how I had to overcome odds in life to later realize that there was a glorious outcome ahead. My life as a school dropout and street boy was a preparation moment for me to receive the spirit of humanity and service to mankind which today is a value that I live for. To be frustrated by my employers and supervisors was a catalyst for me to quit employment and establish the now Busara Investment Group which has created opportunities for many and impacted lives. Every single thing that has ever happened in your life is preparing you for a moment that is yet to come.
Nothing just happens, be strong! Strive and

Why do some people follow and worship celebrities but find it impossible to trust God? Why do some parrot the opinions of celebrities but find it impossible to obey God's Word?
God is the highest definition of all that is good, especially humble unselfishness. How would have ever imagined a God so intensely unselfish as the God of the Bible? he blows my mind in every category! I hope your mind expose with wonder and gratitude as you get to know this God--the only true God--the God Who sent Jesus to rescue a bunch of rebels like us--not because he had to but because He wanted to!
How Children Can Help Their Parents To Save and Earn MoneyJanice Payoyo
This presentation helps children teaches children how to eliminate money wastage, unnecessary spending and to seek alternatives that can help their family become financially successful.
This is the first of many powerpoints that aims to teach how financial planning should be done as a family. It involves paradigm shifts and lifestyle changes that enable families to have better control of their finances.
Whether you are an employee, a businessman or a salesman, we communicate our life message through the products we sell and the messages that we convey. This should always involve spreading goodwill wherever we go.
This presentation discusses principles on how to build on your life, especially if you are coming from a drought. It also shows biblical perspective on God's plan and guidance for us, regardless of your state in life.
This presentations is about the lessons that I have learned as I sought to reach my dreams. This also discusses my insights on why we should continue dreaming.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

2. Presentation Outline
• Characteristics of Humble People
• What would Jesus do?
• Humility Attracts Wisdom and
Blessings
• Releasing Blessings
• Allowing God to Work in Us Everyday
• Higher Perspective on Everyday
Struggles
3. HUMILITY (with Integrity) is my main
criteria for choosing:
• Relationships, Friends and People I
Talk To
• Leaders That I Will Follow
• Television shows and other forms of
media
• Books and Authors
I do not care how good you are and how
much you know (even about the Bible).
Without H-U-M-I-L-I-T-Y, everything that
we do is self-serving.
4. We live in a world where everybody wants to be important and heard.
So many people are striving so hard to be #1. Thus, there is nothing
wrong with being successful. It is just that in the quest for success, a lot
of people forget about their values as they value success more than
relationships, values and God.
When the serpent approached Eve, he said: (Genesis 3:5) "For God
knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you
will be like God, knowing good and evil.“ The serpent tricked Adam
and Eve into the same sin that made God curse him with eternal
damnation. This gave birth to the mother of all sins: PRIDE or the
excessive desire for power.
A lot of people are deceived into thinking that having power and being
“loved” by many is the answer to their pains and being downtrodden.
It is as if when people get success by winning the lotto or a talent show,
all problems will go away.
This band aid approach to solving problems only lead people to sinking
deeper than when they started. Without the godly wisdom gained on
the steady ascent, people dwell in self-serving motives. Regardless of
financial status, life becomes hell-like because of destructive
relationships.
5. Humility NEVER means letting people abuse us and
step on our rights.
It mainly involves seeking wisdom from God as
we seek our righteous place, especially when
dealing with powerful people and authority who
seem to view themselves as gods. God would
even allow these situations to persist for years in
order to humble us and to teach us lessons as
He did when He molded the characters of King
David and Joseph.
Humility involves knowing when to stop fighting
and speaking out. It also involves drawing our
strength from God, who would always protect us
and not allow us to be “harmed” more than He
intended.
6. Humility Involves Choosing Our Battles
One characteristic of prideful people is that they go through so much relationship strife for so many years
and even generations and they never seem to learn anything. And they deal with their pain by preying on
“less powerful” people with their sadistic tendencies. One thing to remember is that when the victim reacts
less irritated or hurt, hurting others becomes less fun for the bully’s ego.
Genuinely intelligent people do not seek too much attention because they know that it is such a challenge
to maintain a peaceful life when so much is going on in your life even if it involves success. If there is one
great lesson from everyday struggles, it is that the smaller your world (with family and some friends), the
more peaceful you can live your life.
Before entering arenas, seek wisdom from God.
• Avoid all extremes. Avoid debates at all costs because nobody wins.
• Observe first the situation and discern the kind of people who are there
• Know about the prevailing ideas in the arena and who holds power
• Know if you should enter in the first place
• Know who are the people you should talk to and with whom you can work
productively.
• Know that it is wise to say very little and listen more. This puts you in a firmer
position, especially if you are still testing the water.
7. Humbled people value themselves enough
that they don’t enter destructive relationships.
One characteristic of prideful people is that they are always
desperate. A lot of people do not know that a lot of
financially successful people are emotionally desperate.
This is because pride causes people to focus on themselves
and their hurts that they are not open for change. They
are also deceived that they believe that they do not
deserve good things in life.
A lot of prideful people stay in destructive relationships
and do not realize that in a lot of ways, they have treated
the other person like a god. It is as if they cannot live
without the other person and the abuse “edifies” them as
martyrs, thus making them dwell in a false sense of moral
superiority.
For this matter, I recommend the writings of Stormie
Omartian. She has written so much about the role of
prayer, fasting and deliverance for emotional healing. Both
Stormie and Dr. Dobson have very good videos on You
Tube.
Super Highly Recommended!!!
8. Humble people rely on God, because they know that He
loves Justice.
Isaiah 61: 8 -For I, the
LORD, love justice; I hate
robbery and wrongdoing. In
my faithfulness I will reward
my people and make an
everlasting covenant with
them.
1 Corinthians 10: 13 - No
temptation has overtaken
you except what is common
to mankind. And God is
faithful; He will not let you
be tempted beyond what
you can bear. But when you
are tempted, He will also
provide a way out so that
you can endure it.
Exodus 14:14
The LORD
will fight for
you; you
need only
to be still."
9. Humble people say this often: “Change me, first.”
For so many years, I have struggled with finding
God’s goodness in severe relational and material
drought. I always prayed so hard that the people
around me would change so that my life will be a lot
happier. Then, one day, the lightbulb just clicked and
I saw all that God has been setting up the whole
time:
• Internal Transformation
• Knowing what is truly important in life (having a
firm sense of values)
• Wisdom in humbling daily experiences
• Appreciating blessings
• The ability to transform lives through my learnings
10. Humble people know that being in a
better financial situation and having
more power doesn’t always make
things better. With pride, it only
surrounds you with bigger bullies.
Letting go of toxic people who may give you
material things and favors may cause some
temporary unbearable loneliness, but in reality, it
is a promotion. DO NOT FEEL GUILTY AT ALL FOR
LETTING GO OF THEM. Genuine humility, as God
purifies our hearts attracts us to higher quality
people.
11. Humble and intelligent people value God and
relationships above money and results.
One accomplishment that I am proud of is
that in most places where I chose to go,
even though everybody knows that I don’t
have much outward success to show off, I
am welcomed because of the kind of
person I am. I don’t have to show off to be
noticed or to be listened to.
I am known for my integrity and people of
high stature talk to me because they know
that they can trust me. Seasoned
individuals will test you for this.
12. Humble people listen a lot. And they surround
themselves with good counsel.
Prideful people only listen to what they want to
hear. They even direct conversations to their
favor.
Humble people know how to ask the right
questions. They seek to understand first before
asserting themselves (too much). They also
give much needed air for people who badly
want to be understood.
There are times when even if we are the
offended party, we have to listen to
uncontrollably delinquent people because they
are often misunderstood. Though it is often
difficult to listen, the process will humble us
further and will help us gain more wisdom.
13. Humble people seek to cooperate for worthy
causes, even with prideful authority.
Daniel 2: 21 - And He (God)
changeth the times and the
seasons: He removeth kings, and
setteth up kings: He giveth wisdom
unto the wise, and knowledge to
them that know understanding. He
revealeth the deep and secret
things: he knoweth what is in the
darkness, and the light dwelleth
with Him.
14. Humble people are intelligent enough to discern
what they continually feed in their minds.
They avoid television shows and forms of
media that glorify modern day martyrs
and portray intense hatred. They avoid
senseless entertainment that leave
people more ignorant when it comes to
uplifting themselves. This leaves people
with their daily fix that leaves them
feeling powerful temporarily.
I just find it so alarming that a lot of
children are playing video games that are
so violent that it even involves torture.
15. Following Jesus goes against common sense.
1 Corinthians 1: 18 –
For the message of the cross is
foolishness to those who are
perishing, but to us who are being
saved it is the power of God.
Matthew 7: 21 - Not everyone who
says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the
kingdom of heaven, but only the one
who does the will of my Father who is
in heaven.
16. Jesus taught us to serve and forgive.
Luke 23: 34 - "Father,
forgive them, for they
do not know what
they are doing."
Matthew 18: 22- Lord, how
often shall my brother sin
against me and I forgive him?
Up to seven times?" Jesus said
to him, "I do not say to you, up
to seven times, but up to
seventy times seven.
Matthew 5:44-47- But I tell you, love your enemies and
pray for those who persecute you, that you may be
children of your Father in heaven… If you love those who
love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax
collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own
people, what are you doing more than others? Do not
even pagans do that?
17. Jesus sent us the Holy Spirit to guide us.
John 16: 7- Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is
expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the
Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will
send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove
the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of sin, because
they believe not on me;
Ephesians 1: 13-14 - In Him, you also, after
listening to the message of truth, the gospel
of your salvation--having also believed, you
were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of
promise, who is given as a pledge of our
inheritance, with a view to the redemption of
God's own possession, to the praise of His
glory.
Romans 8: 26 - Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities:
for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but
the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings
which cannot be uttered.
John 17: 8-11 - For I have given unto them the
words which thou gavest Me; and they have
received them, and have known surely that I
came out from thee, and they have believed
that thou didst send me. I pray for them: I pray
not for the world, but for them which thou hast
given me; for they are thine. And all mine are
thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in
them. And now I am no more in the world, but
these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy
Father, keep through thine own name those
whom thou hast given me, that they may be
one, as we are.
18. Jesus in us changes us from Glory to Glory.
2 Corinthians 3: 18 - But we all, with open face
beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are
changed into the same image from glory to
glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Romans 8: 29 - For whom He did foreknow, He
also did predestinate to be conformed to the
image of his Son, that He might be the firstborn
among many brethren.
Romans 12:1 - I beseech you therefore,
brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present
your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable
unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Galatians 2: 20
I am crucified with Christ:
nevertheless I live; yet not I,
but Christ liveth in me: and
the life which I now live in
the flesh I live by the faith of
the Son of God, who loved
me, and gave Himself for me.
19. Humility Attracts Wisdom and Blessings
A lot of prideful people do not realize that
there are people who want to help and bless
them but would rather not because they are
not trustworthy. Unfortunately, to many,
helping them gives them a sign that you are
vulnerable enough to attack. And those
blessings can be even used as weapons against
the giver.
I have yet to see many people who are truly
helpable. These people appreciate the smallest
amount of kindness and are humble enough to
ask for more help in order to uplift themselves.
20. Prideful people just want the gift and care little
about wisdom.
I must admit that during very
difficult times, this is difficult to do.
With all humility, I served and gave
until it hurts and thought that even
if I gain “nothing”, I will learn things.
You will never realize what you have
gained and learned until you rest
look back during respites in
between long strides. I must say
that I can share so much knowledge
because I have talked to so many
people even if I will get “nothing”
from them.
22. Releasing Blessings: Always sincerely say: “I am
happy for you!”, even if it hurts so bad.
Ask any prosperous person and
they will say that it is difficult to
find people who will be genuinely
happy for you whenever you speak
about the good things in your life.
While most people bring down
people who are blessed, being
happy for them reinforces the
belief that God will truly bless you
in a similar manner. Releasing the
blessing enables God to prepare
our hearts for the same blessing.
23. Envy has never made anyone successful (through
righteous gain). It has never increased anyone’s
overall happiness.
Learn from them and imitate successful people instead.
24. No matter how difficult life may be, humble people seek
the grace of God to start each day by praising Him. This
may not automatically release material blessings, but it
unleashes tremendous amount of wisdom.
Faith is something that we do not grow naturally in us.
It is a gift that we have to ask from God with humility everyday.

25. Through it all, God will prove Himself to be faithful as
He invites us into a personal relationship with Him.
The Israelites spent 40 years in the desert.
Exodus 13: 21 – By day, the Lord went ahead of
them in a pillar of cloud and to guide them on their
way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light.
Deuteronomy 9: 2-5
Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and
test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. He
humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your
ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes
from the mouth of the LORD. Your clothes did not wear out and your feet did not swell during these forty
years. Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the LORD your God disciplines you.
26. Give back the glory to God for all that we have
surpassed and triumphed on.
27. No matter how successful
you become, always
remember that:
ONLY GOD IS GREAT AND
WE ARE MERE SERVANTS.
God may even ask you to
minister to those who hurt
you.
28. At the Peak and Going Down The Mountains
This picture shows the view from the peak of Mt. Maculot. It is
3,701 feet above sea level and back then, beginner climbers like me
frequented it. Back then, climbing gave me a sense of rest from the
very chaotic life that I had. I remember one time, I saw a large
piece of cloud at eye level, and when I saw the land below, there
was shade in it, exactly the same size and shape as the large cloud.
It is also interesting to note that it is only in the Philippines where
there are sari-sari stores selling ice cold coke at places this high.
I am telling this because looking back, it helped to realize that God
sees every detail of our struggles. You will rarely see cases where
people go through intense hardship every single day. God is so
good that He gives much needed treats and respites. These
mountaintop experiences give us time to reflect on what can be
done when we come back to sea level given a higher perspective.
This is just my opinion. A healthy individual doesn’t stay on
mountains for life. God intended most of us to live at sea level in
order to keep us level headed.
29. Even if you are the one on righteous ground, the Lord will often
direct us to keep silent. Especially when overcome with intense
emotions, it is wise to let the Lord fight for us. Let Him do most
of the fighting for us. (Psalm 37)
Do not fret because of those who are evil or
be envious of those who do wrong; for like
the grass they will soon wither, like green
plants they will soon die away.
Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the
land and enjoy safe pasture. Take delight in
the LORD, and He will give you the desires of
your heart.
Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him
and He will do this: He will make your
righteous reward shine like the dawn, your
vindication like the noonday sun.
Be still before the LORD and wait patiently
for Him and do not fret when people
succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes.
Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do
not fret—it leads only to evil. For those who
are evil will be destroyed, but those who
hope in the LORD will inherit the land.
A little while, and the wicked will be no
more; though you look for them, they will
not be found. But the meek will inherit the
land and enjoy peace and prosperity.
30. Isaiah 54: 17 - No weapon forged
against you will prevail, and you will
refute every tongue that accuses you.
This is the heritage of the servants of
the LORD, and this is their
vindication from me," declares the
LORD.
31. THE WORLD IS IN DIRE
NEED OF MORE PEOPLE
WILLING TO BE HUMBLED.
ALLOW GOD TO WORK
THROUGH YOU EVERYDAY,
NO MATTER HOW PAINFUL
AND DIFFICULT IT IS.

33. Humility enables us to discern flattery when
surrounded by prideful people. When you see things
that people blindly accept and follow, it is wise to keep
your observations to yourself initially.
One distinguishable trait of prideful people who betray
is that wherever they are, they talk so loudly. They
tone down their voices whenever they talk behind
your back, and they are suddenly silent whenever you
pass by.
EXPERIENCE HAS SHOWN THAT ENTERING
INTO A FIGHT IS NEVER WORTH IT.
WAG MO NA SILA PATULAN!
MASISIRA LANG BEAUTY MO!!!

I like so much the ministry of Dr. Charles

humility and the role of the Holy Spirit in
changing us from glory to glory.

35. I am also a fan of the author Paul J.
Meyer. He is an insurance agent who
has had so much success and speaks so
much about humility, as he writes about
legacy and wealth.
I have read Unlocking Your Legacy, and it
is EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! He said that
more than what we can accomplish for
Him, God is more interested in the
condition of our heart. He also said that
those who want to truly lay their lives
for service will experience being
betrayed left and right. But you should
never take it personally and let God
work on your character until all that He
has planned for your life will come to
pass.
