This document discusses the need for churches to shift from a maintenance-driven model to a mission-driven model focused on making disciples. It notes that most churches spend the majority of their time and resources on programs and maintaining existing members rather than on their mission to spread the gospel. The document advocates for a model where every member is trained and passionate about using their relationships to help others obey Jesus' commandments through their testimony and actions.

It is common to refer to the process of maturing as a disciple as spiritual formation. Here, based upon work by Greg Ogden, I give a four stage process for growing into maturity, and fruitfulness, as a follower of King Jesus.

Make Me A Servant
Make me a servant Lord, make me like you
For you are a servant, make me one, too.
Make me a servant, do what you must do
To make me a servant, make me like you.
To love my brother, to serve like you do.
I humble my spirit, I bow before yo.
And through my service, I'll be just like you.
So make me a servant, make me like you.
Open my hands Lord and teach me to share
Open my heart Lord and teach me to care,
For service to others is service to you.
Make me a servant, make me like you.
EVANGELISM 101: Lesson 1 - Biblical Foundations of EvangelismFrancis Hernandez
For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” (Romans 10:13-15)
"It (Evangelism) comes from the same Greek word for gospel (euangelion) and means, literally, “gospeling.” When we evangelize we are “gospeling” — we are spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ." - https://www.ligonier.org/learn/devotionals/what-evangelism/
Every Christian is called to do the divine task of evangelism. Evangelism is a task not just for the select churches, or for the evangelists or pastors. This is Lesson 1 of EVANGELISM 101 Series. Given last April 23, 2021 at HOPE Christian Fellowship in Guinobatan, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro, Philippines by Ptr. Francis S. Hernandez.

Summary: Bonsai Theory of Church Growth. by Ken HemphillRobert Munson
A brief summary of some items from the book by Ken Hemphill on how to maintain an artificially small church. Hopefully from that, one can gain insight into how to have a naturally (yet also supernaturally) growing church.
Every church has growth barriers. Once you identify those barriers, developing strategies, structures, and systems to overcome those barriers is the key

Are You Listening? | A Sermon on Luke 10:25-42Steve Thomason
This sermon looks at Luke 10:25-42 from the Narrative Lectionary. It brings the story of the Good Samaritan and the story of Mary and Martha together to explore a key theme in the Gospel of Luke. There are two kinds of people: those who listen to Jesus and those who are distracted. What are the things that distract us in life?
Download the interactive manual free at http://www.churchtaskforce.org/cpm/GPHC_2013.pdf
This manual is a complete tool to guide leaders and believers who desire to plant or renew a church. It is not training for ministry, rather training in ministry for those who sense God’s call to church planting and renewal.
This manual is not theory or some Western or Eastern new teaching but a timetested model, proven historically in Acts. It is not written to teach a new method
or improve the old methods! A word of caution: it would be a travesty to become more biblical and neglect your relationship with Christ and the gift of the Holy Spirit.
If you sense this call, you may think that you must have a Bible College or a Seminary degree or financial support to establish a growing church. While there is absolutely nothing wrong with any of these, the Bible does give us a wonderful
example of how the church originally began and was established without degrees or money. By following the example of Christ and the Apostles, in the power of the Holy Spirit, you can be successful in seeing a growing church planted and established.
