- NVIDIA released a new GPU called the M2090 that has 512 cores and can perform 665 double precision gigaflops. It is used in an HP server with 8 cards for molecular dynamics simulations.
- NVIDIA is targeting the mobile market with its new Kal-El quad-core processor that will be 5x faster than the Tegra-2 and contain a 12-core GPU. It can display on a 1440p panel at 10 inches.
- A DNA-based computer has been demonstrated that can perform basic computations by synchronously pulling individual base pairs across multiple DNA strands.
