The Job Description As the recruiter you need to ensure you sit with the business and the human resources business partner to obtain and possibly help write a job description for the position which you’re seeking candidates. The job description should include the educational requirements, the year of experience required, the main day to day activities, specific business requirements. Once you have this, you’re armed with the required information you need in order to determine the candidates you will bring in for an interview after reviewing the resumes you receive.

The Job Description As the recruiter you need to ensure you sit with the business and the human resources business partner to obtain and possibly help write a job description for the position which you’re seeking candidates. The job description should include the educational requirements, the year of experience required, the main day to day activities, specific business requirements. Once you have this, you’re armed with the required information you need in order to determine the candidates you will bring in for an interview after reviewing the resumes you receive.
  • 7. Recruiting Pool There are various sources you can use to bring in candidates. You can use any or all of the following: External search firms Advertising in newspaper and/or trade journal Internal Employee referrals Internet Any of these can assist you with your search. All have the ability to provide suitable candidates. Each has advantages and disadvantages which you’ll need to determine whether they work for each particular search you’re conducting.
  • 8. The Interview Once you have identify the candidates based on reviewing the resumes, you’re ready to set up interview with the individuals whom you feel are a close match to what you’re recruiting for. During the interview you have the opportunity to see the individual face to face and determine whether this person is the right fit for the area you’re recruiting for. The interview should involve the recruiter, the manager for the area, and depending on the managers preference the team whom the new employee will be working with.
