Medical oxygen in Bangladesh comes in six main forms: gaseous oxygen cylinders, manifold systems, oxygen concentrators, liquid oxygen sources, gaseous oxygen generators, and oxygen generation plants. Oxygen is produced, filled into cylinders, assigned batch numbers, and delivered to hospitals. At hospitals, oxygen is administered to patients through various devices like nasal cannulas, masks, ventilators, and flow meters to provide treatment at the point of care.

1. In Bangladesh, Medical Oxygen usually comes in six different forms namely:
i. Gaseous Medical Oxygen cylinders
ii. Manifold systems (compressed gas cylinders)
iii. Medical Oxygen concentrator
iv. Liquid source such as vacuum-insulated evaporator (VIE)
v. Gaseous source such as Medical Oxygen generator (PSA/VSA)
vi) ASU Oxygen Generation Plant
vi. and a combination of these to provide the necessary stand-by/back-up capacity
