This document summarizes data from the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime on coca cultivation in Bolivia from 2004-2013. It shows that: 1) Coca cultivation in Bolivia declined from 28,900 hectares in 2004 to 23,000 hectares in 2013, though rates fluctuated with some small increases. 2) Coca cultivation in the Yungas region of La Paz decreased from 19,800 hectares to 15,700 hectares over this period. 3) Coca cultivation in protected areas of Bolivia increased from 1,825 hectares to over 2,000 hectares before declining dramatically to 1,011 hectares by 2013.
