Ch 2 EQʼs

                 1. Although not in Ch 2, research the difference between civic duties and responsibilities. Give 5
examples of a Civic duty and Civic responsibility.

Civic duties are things citizens must do through obligation whereas responsibilities are things
citizens should do but are not required to do. Duties are paying taxes, jury duty, obeying laws,
attending school until age 16, and the selective service for men. Responsibilities are registering
                 to vote and community service.

                 2. Create a graphic organizer listing the sources of American Law and give a brief description of
how the sources influenced American Law.

                                  Source Description

                                                                 - Fear of strong central government
                                                                 - Separate currency caused bad economy
                                                                 - Weakness lead to Constitution

Each colony occupied a different region. They were separated due to different religious
freedoms, and different environments created different agricultural and trade in each colony.
