In Principles of mechanical engineering class, we have been asked for design a vacuum cleaner. We have designed it as a team. My part is about flow analysis of fan which will attract people to the presentation.
2. What is ANSYS?
• I have done cfx analysis of fan which is very important component in vacuum
cleaner. While doing this, I used ANSYS software.
• ANSYS enables to simulate tests or working conditions, enables to test in virtual
environment before manufacturing prototypes of products.
• ANSYS is a software solves very complex problem which we cannot solve on
hands.
• Nowadays, It is essential make analysis for design applications or research and
development studies.
3. What is CFX?
• CFX is recognized for its outstanding accuracy, robustness and speed
with rotating machinery such as pumps, fans, compressors, and gas
and hydraulic turbines.
4. • Firstly I convert this catpart to stp file. Because If you want to import
something catia to ansys you have to convert it stp file.I create
cylindirical enclosure to define inlet,outlet, wall and fan boundaries to
ANSYS
5. • In meshing, I used finite element analysis. In this method, we are
trying to make small geometrical shapes on the system. And solution
happens in this part with various assumptions.
6. • In setup part, I have give some boundary conditions. Inlet, outlet air
fan.
7. • I gave some conditions also such as material properties of fan, and
rpm of motor.
