“Welcome, and thank you for
taking the time to view my
portfolio. The Goal of this portfolio
is to give you a deeper insight into
my experience and skills I have
gained over my recent history.
It is my hope that this will allow
you to assess how my skills can be
applied to your company.
I would be happy to talk in more
detail and can be reached using
contact information given on front
page.”
3. Centrifugal Pump
My aim was to design and assemble the
whole assembly of centrifugal pump using
Creo Parametric.
Some additional features of creo likeAFX
where i can make my desire Framework by
just using some line skeleton is very helpful
while designing the Base of Pump.
Tool like IFX is very useful for generating the Screw
and Dowel pins. Picture above is rendered from Creo
integrated rendering engine. And left is a cross
section of pump shown to highlight some internal
details of it.
4. In the left is the exploded view of Pump parts. Mostly exploded view is preferred with Bill of
Material. Here I make anAuto-generated list(figure on right) of part which can be also help-full
for making Bill of Material by adding some more column for price, and material type.
5. Heat Exchanger
My objective in this project is to design and
assemble a Heat Exchanger using NX-Cad. I
learn a lot about heat Exchanger here. It is a
Shell andTube type Heat Exchanger with
components like channels , tubesheets, baffles,
tie rods & spacers, pass partition plates etc
Above figure is rendered in NX built in
render engine Iray+. On the left is
screenshot of heat exchanger assembly in
NX interface.
6. Left is a figure with
render of tubesheet.
Which I choose here for
my draft. I take my
hands on some drafting
tools of NX, which I find
very useful. Some of are
like view break, Detailed
View, Section line,
SectionView etc. Mostly
bothCreo and NX have
same working principles
but the UI is different.
For future I will perform
some Simulation on
same model within NX.
7. Centrifugal Pump Analysis
Aim of this simulation is to perform the basic settings of centrifugal pump impeller and
volute in order to obtain pressure results usingANSYS CFX.Also results of the generation
of cavitation can be obtain from following.ANSYS have many tool for turbomachinary
analysis, like generating the impeller mesh byTurboGrid. Also BladeGen which helpful for
modifying the blade profile andVista CPD for generating volute and impeller geomatry
according to input data. Meanwhile parameter can be selected for parameter set which
used by optimization tools to get optimum results. ANSYS CFX also come with turbo
mode specially design for turbomachinary analysis which I found very handy.

8. RC Beam Analysis
I use Explicit Dynamics to model a RC Beam (Reinforced Concrete Beam) usingANSYS. Failed elements or cracked
and crushed elements are deleted from the model as the analysis is running(last two figure).
Deformation of the Rebar is
also shown.This is a high
impact test of concrete where
Punch of 12kg is drop with 8 m/s
9. Topology Optimization
Topology optimization of structures
has proven to be a valuable tool for the
identification of the best concepts in
early phases of the design process. I
useANSYSTopology Optimization
tool here to reduce the total mass of a
mechanical metal bracket. I add two
cylindrical supports, choose to make
the tangential component free, where
one bearing load with 50KN in the X-
direction and 100KN in the Z-direction
is used for calculation. But due to the
free forms that naturally occur, the
result is often difficult to manufacture.
For that reason the result emerging
fromTopology Optimization is often
fine-tuned for manufacturability.
10. Multi-Phase Analysis
Aim : two phase flow modeling using
VOF(Volume of Fluid) model is utilized to model a
tank discharge flow usingANSYS Fluent.
Workflow includes:
generating geometry,
mesh generation ,
setting up a transient simulation,
specifying fluids forVOF model,
designing of the domain,
discretization,
and simulation of the result.
The interaction is taken between two fluids air and
water.
11. Aerodynamic Analysis
Aim: Aerodynamic analysis on a racing car usingAnsys Fluent
Workflow include import geometry or create one in Design Modeller, Create a domain for Air, Automatic
mesh grid generation, Create inlet and outlet boundary conditions, CFD solver setup, monitor and calculate
the coefficient of drag (Cd
), The accuracy of the results can be determined by the convergence of Cd
.
12. Python for Research
I know basics of python and recently I learn some of
its tool for research. Like pandas for data operation,
matplotlib library from which this all figures are
generated. Scikit-learn Linear regression, random
forest, kNN classification, Logistic regression for
machine learning Also I m familiar with Numpy and
SciPy. I uploaded files related to what I learn and what
I practice on GitHub also.
13. Blender
I used blender to model Bugatti LaVoiture
Noire. Blender have both important feature
like nurbs to surface and subdivision surface
for surface modeling. I can do a lot more in
blender like animation, UV-maping,
textureing, blender physics etc. Mostly it
help me to make some artististic work.
Although I find lack of bridges between most
CAD softwares and Blender.
