Fog - The Ruby cloud services library and how it helps you to create vendor neutral cloud deployments, Puppet- Multi region puppet masters, Ruby- How Ruby pulls the strings together in EC2/ELB/RDS creation, Security group creation, IP authorization, Route53 DNS etc, Git- how we use git to version control deployment configs/configurations.

Blue/Green deployments have been an important, if rarely implemented, technique in the Continuous Delivery playbook for years. Their aim is simple: provision, deploy, test — and optionally roll-back — your application before it's served to the public. Betterment's deployment architecture takes a similar, but more straightforward approach, accomplishing the important goals sought out by Blue/Green practitioners. Dubbed 'Cyan' (a mixture of Blue/Green), Betterment uses Ansible to provision new instances, push the latest artifacts to them, and ensure that they're healthy before marking them ready for production. All this ensures fast, stable, zero-downtime rollout with minimal human interaction. We'll discuss Betterment's philosophical approach to shipping new code and then dive into the nitty-gritty Ansible that powers the whole thing.

This talk will try to break this approach, and will introduce how we end up using ephemeral namespaces within our CI/CD pipeline. It will cover the architecture of our system for running the user acceptance tests on isolated ephemeral namespaces with every bits and pieces running within pods. While doing this, we will set up our CI/CD pipeline on top of TravisCI, GoCD, and Selenium that is controlled by Nightwatch.js.

Aristotle's Poetics is considered the earliest surviving work of dramatic theory and first systematic treatise on literary criticism. In it, Aristotle defines poetry as a means of mimesis or imitation through language, rhythm, and harmony. He discusses different types of poetry like tragedy, comedy, and epic poetry. For tragedy specifically, Aristotle says the objects imitated are serious actions, the manner is dramatic rather than narrative, and the medium is verse spoken in dialogue. He provides key terms used in tragedy like hamartia, anagnorisis, peripeteia, and katharsis. Aristotle also outlines critical elements of plot and structure for a successful tragedy, including unity of action, completeness, magnitude, and eliciting

R Service Bus
The R Service Bus (RSB) allows R to be plugged into various software workflows independently of the technologies used. It provides a RESTful and SOAP API to integrate R scripts and Sweave files into machine-to-machine and human workflows. Variable Data
Variable data printing is a form of digital printing that allows for customization of documents based on information from a database. It combines database marketing with digital printing to efficiently produce large quantities of customized marketing materials targeted towards individuals. There are two main methods - pre-printing a shell then adding variable elements digitally, or printing the entire customized document digitally. Variable data can be broken into basic, version, and full levels of customization. It is commonly used for direct mail, statements, and other marketing materials. Studies show variable data printing campaigns have response rates 9-15 times higher than traditional mass mailings.

Mann Rentoy's Report on Saussure
Ferdinand de Saussure was a Swiss linguist who taught at the University of Geneva from 1901-1913. He published his lectures as the influential book Course in General Linguistics in 1916. He argued that language is a system of signs defined by social convention and relationships within the system, rather than a naming system. Saussure's work established linguistics as a distinct scientific discipline and was highly influential in the development of 20th century linguistic theory and structuralism.

He also serves as the Founding President of Center for 4th and 5th Rs (Respect & Responsibility) Asia, otherwise known as the Thomas Lickona Institute for Asia. Power Grid Model
The global energy transition is placing new and unprecedented demands on Distribution System Operators (DSOs). Alongside upgrades to grid capacity, processes such as digitization, capacity optimization, and congestion management are becoming vital for delivering reliable services.
Power Grid Model is an open source project from Linux Foundation Energy and provides a calculation engine that is increasingly essential for DSOs. It offers a standards-based foundation enabling real-time power systems analysis, simulations of electrical power grids, and sophisticated what-if analysis. In addition, it enables in-depth studies and analysis of the electrical power grid’s behavior and performance. This comprehensive model incorporates essential factors such as power generation capacity, electrical losses, voltage levels, power flows, and system stability.
Power Grid Model is currently being applied in a wide variety of use cases, including grid planning, expansion, reliability, and congestion studies. It can also help in analyzing the impact of renewable energy integration, assessing the effects of disturbances or faults, and developing strategies for grid control and optimization.
