National service programs in Lake Park, Minnesota engage over 80 volunteers and community organizations to tackle challenges like senior health, disaster preparedness, and education. Dorothy Paulson and Carroll Clark are examples of senior volunteers who help keep other seniors physically fit and provide hospice care. As Mayor, Aaron Lee Wittnebel is grateful for these national service volunteers who make the city stronger, safer, and healthier through their dedication and sacrifice. The Neighbourhood Justice Centre in Victoria, Australia began a program in 2012 to improve relationships between local police, traders, and the Aboriginal community in the Smith Street area. This effort paid off, and now those groups enjoy respectful relationships. The inaugural Smith Street Dreaming music festival was held in 2013 to celebrate these improved relationships and all that is good about Smith Street. It has since won the City of Yarra's Community Event of the Year award. Police calls and crime in the area have significantly decreased since the program began, and the hope is for the positive changes to continue.

The Veterans Honor Guard of Parkers Crossroads was established in 2014 to provide military funeral honors for deceased veterans, educate the public through patriotic presentations, and engage in community service events. Westminster Communities of Florida is privileged to have many volunteers who serve our residents. Each of our Volunteers of the Year express the heart behind our Mission. Our volunteers are a vital part of our communities. We had more than 2,200 volunteers to help at the communities during this past year. They served a total of 275,000 hours, which is equivalent to the work of nearly 132 full-time employees. Thank you very much to our Volunteers of the Year. Their mission is to engage the community to care for one another through volunteerism. They served over 400 agencies and educated 152 volunteers and agencies. Their financial highlights show program service revenue of $94,535, contributions and grants of $80,272, and other support and revenue of $90,093 for total support and revenue of $264,900 against total expenses of $269,927, resulting in a change in net assets of ($5,027).

About Bread & Roses Presents - 2015
Bread & Roses is a nonprofit organization that provides free live music and entertainment performances to isolated individuals in the San Francisco Bay Area. They present over 600 shows per year to nearly 32,000 people in 120 facilities such as assisted living homes, hospitals, homeless shelters, and more. Their goal is to use the healing power of live music and arts to uplift the human spirit of people who have limited access to such experiences. They rely on donations and 1,000 volunteers to continue providing these services throughout 8 counties in the region.

Life Navigators is a nonprofit that supports individuals with disabilities. In 2013, they focused on offering more community outings and social events. Through these, consumers developed skills and friendships. One consumer, Roger, went from being shy to more confident and social. The organization is thankful for its donors and volunteers who make its work possible. Financially, it had over $1.4 million in expenses supporting over 4,700 individuals. It offers various programs to help individuals live active lives in the community.

Revenue increased from the previous year allowing them to expand their work and programs while maintaining over 80% of expenses going to programming.

A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.
