GENERAL BUILDING WORKSHOP Two 5-person groups participate in one-year lasting course. Practical tasks have the objective of renovating Centre’s premises. The instructor Robert Maj has been working in construction for 10 years. Since the year of 2000 he manages own building company.

WORKSHOP OF BUILDING INSTALLATIONS ,[object Object],The instructor, Roman Boguslawski, experienced homelessness himself several years ago. He established his own family and has lived independently for four years now. Goalkeeper in the Polish Representation of Street Soccer World Cup.

CARPENTRY WORKSHOP ,[object Object],[object Object],The instructor Tadeusz Pabijan is a retired teacher. He has worked in the Barka School for 7 years already.

PLUMBING & WELDING WORKSHOP Two 5-person groups participate in one year lasting course. Production of rickshaws, which serve cemeteries in Poznan and give jobs to people. The instructor Adam Wilga has a broad experience in training in vocational schools in Poznan. Presently he is finishing pedagogical studies and has special interest in history.

SEWING WORKSHOP ,[object Object],[object Object],This workshop sews flags on orders. These will be the first orders of the sewing cooperative. The instructor Urszula Kopciuch has run the sewing workshop in the Barka School for 7 years now.

GASTRONOMIC WORKSHOP ,[object Object],[object Object],The instructor Teresa Gajda is a retired teacher of gastronomy. She teaches in the Centre half time and has lectures at a Course of Catering for hotels in Poznan.

CLEANING & CONSERVATION WORKSHOP ,[object Object],[object Object],The instructor Grazyna Dratwa has run own cleaning company for 5 years. Her hobby: parachuting.

COMMERCIAL WORKSHOP - SHOPS ,[object Object],The instructor Maria Wolska has been involved in Barka’s entrepreneurial program for 10 years already. She worked as therapeutist in the past. After dissolution of her marriage she came to live in one of Barka’s hostels with two daughters. Presently she has own flat. She runs commercial activities (shops, stands) and manages in-kind donations in the framework of activities of the Association of Support to Creation of Social Cooperatives.

ENTREPRENEURIAL WORKSHOP - STREET PAPER ,[object Object],Presently they are engaged in marketing, are obtaining permissions to sell the Street Paper in diverse places nearby Poznan and are its co-creators. They also train other persons to act as vendors, who are interested in this type of source of income.

SECURITY W ORKSHOP ,[object Object],[object Object],„ Guards” provide security to Centre’s premises, parking and the scrap yard. They are preparing for the creation of a cooperative in the field of security.

Children’s care and care for the elderly and the handicapped ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],They have „ on-the-job training” in hospices for palliative care and the emotional and spiritual needs of terminally ill patients , houses of social support for mentally ill children and houses for the elderly.
