The document discusses two augmented reality and virtual reality technologies being developed for military training purposes. The first is an augmented reality system for explosive ordnance disposal search training that allows up to four people to train together with an integrated metal detector. It has demonstrated functionality and the developers plan to integrate it with more equipment and demonstrate it to more military forces. The second is a virtual reality cognitive skills evaluation system that provides immersive sensory training and grades candidate abilities. It has also demonstrated functionality and the developers are looking for advice, collaboration, investment, and partners to further develop, test, and deploy the system globally.
The past few months saw some of the most important outputs of the project both for the supplier and user community of OCRE.
In this general update webinar, the project will provide an update on some of the key developments in the project including the conclusion of the OCRE IaaS+ Tender and the signing of more than 400 framework agreements, the presentation of the OCRE Cloud Catalogue of commercial cloud services for the European research community, the validation test suite for suppliers, research projects selected to receive adoption funding support. as well as some of the work in progress for Earth Observation digital services procurement.
OCRE Workshop: Shaping the Earth Observation Services Market for Research. Session 3: Presentations from DIAS and eoMALL.
This workshop aims to bring the EO service providers closer to the research community, capture their needs and develop fit for purpose EO services.
The event will be the 4th OCRE Requirements Gathering Workshop. Researchers and Earth Observation Service Providers will be asked to provide inputs to help us shape OCRE's tender.
The OCRE project aims to provide the first end-to-end instance of organised, large-scale market pull for EO services in Europe. These services will be provided for free to EU researchers through the European Open Science Cloud. To ensure that the services meet the actual needs of the research community we invite both the demand and the supply side, to share their views and engage in a productive dialogue. Our aim is to capture the needs of EU researchers and inform the EO service providers so that they make available services that effectively address them. We will also explain how the OCRE process will work, how the different stakeholders should be involved and how to make the most of the foreseen benefits.

Cosmos And Culture Mashup - experimenting with new ways of publishing Science...Mia
An internal presentation I put together to get approval for a competition that will ask people to create mashed up interfaces with our collections data. We'll make object data from our collections database created for the gallery available so that people can link it with whatever interface or datasets they think will make a great presentation for the general public.
I'm sharing it because it might help other people get similar projects approved, and because I'd love to work with other institutions who might have data that would work with ours.
Ultimately, it shouldn't be about the technology, it should be about having fun and creating new insights into our Cosmos and Culture collection.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.

Gopi also has a strong connection with our customers, leading design and architecture for strategic implementations. Gopi is a frequent speaker and well-known leader in continuous delivery and integrating security into software delivery.

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!
