2. From the title of this album, it could be inferred that this is an album dedicated to the appreciation of his fan base for the
position he has achieved through their support. It has also been suggested that due to the full stops in between the
letters, that the word is an abbreviation for more words. It has been said that it is an abbreviation for ‘fans are my
everything’. The words are in a font that looks much like graffiti. This is an illustration of another talent that Chris Brown
has- his artwork. He may be expressing this through his album where he portrays himself as a music artist and of a
drawing artist. The font is white possible to stand out against the busy background which is colourful and contains many
pictures of himself and his interests.
The main image is of himself in a
painting effect. Again, this could be a
representation of his artistic life and
interests. The colour effect is multi-
coloured which also gives an artistic tone
to the album cover. His facial expression
is serious as he glares in to camera. This
can be inferred as the connection he
wants to build with his fans and the
seriousness that his music within
contains. It may be that the album is
passionate about his feelings towards his
success and his fans therefore he
undertakes a rather serious tone to guide
his audience with the emotions they
should withhold whilst listening to his
music in order to connect with it.
The background is seen to be quite
busy containing images of himself
and possibly his views. It includes
images such as children and some
of his artwork that he has produced
himself. Therefore, I would depict
that the background is an illustration
of his background information that
has made him who he is. The
multicolours used overlapping the
black and white images of himself
could be a representation of the old
him going through a change due to
his fame and him seeing a new path
in his life which is colourful and
positive
The background also links to the title as there are words written on images spelling out
‘Forgiving all my enemies’. Again, this is a portrayal of him moving on from the old life he
was living in to move forward into a more positive life. It shows that he wants to look
forward rather than back. These images are also overlapping the black and white images of
him which again shows the domination of this new character he has found within himself.
The images are colourful in contrast to the images of him which may also suggest that it is
a better side to him.

to create a sense of mystery which
could suggest that the songs within

her- the main artist. This could suggest that this is her very
first album and she wants to be recognised for her music by
her own image. This is reinforced by the name of her album
‘Demi’ illustrating her importance within her album and album
name. she is pictured unclothed which could connote nature
and the nature of her music and originality. However, she is
covered in what seems to be dark glitter and dirt, black nails
and black lipstick- her makeup and mise en scene could
depict the break through of her originality within her music.
The plain and dull colours used mainly connotes the purity of
her music. Her glare into the camera could show the
connection she is trying to make with her audience which is
not only eye-catching, but adds a more serious connection
with her audience. She is against a plain white background
which also adds to the simplicity of this album cover. It could
also suggest she wants to stand out against the background
as the main focus should be on her as well as her music. She
is also pictured in the middle of the cover therefore is the
focal point which catches attention. The target audience may
be towards young adults and possibly children and
teenagers. This is suggested as she was previously a Disney
Channel star so has a fan base with teenagers and fans of
Disney. However, the fact that she is pictured naked might
appeal more to the older audience which could be a
representation of her outbreak subverting her childish
representation she withheld from starring on Disney Channel.

album is futuristic. Although this is on
one side of her face, on the other side of
her face, her makeup is done quite
sophisticated. Suggesting that this is also
the image she wants to give off to her
audience. This may also give an insight
to the genre of music being varied within

Her red lipstick could connote a
seductive side to her. This may
have significance within her
album as it may also be another
image she is trying to illustrate
to her readers. This could also
represent her target audience.

men or young adults rather than

page, it may also be seen as the focal point which further develops the idea of the track list
being the main feature of the cover.
