FYFE- SOLACE

Fyfe, otherwise known as Paul Dixon is an English guitarist
and songwriter. Between the years 2010-2012 he was
known as David Lyre however is now known a Fyfe. Fyfe
signed a records label in 2010 but soon ended in 2011
before releasing his new album. He has now begun a new
project with his new stage name ‘Fyfe’.

This is the song we have both
agreed on using for our final music
video. It has both fast and slow
beats which was exactly what we
was looking for in a song. At first we
came across a lot of songs that
mainly sang about love however
this song is different, he sings about
how ‘living isn’t easy’. When we
both first heard this song we knew
it was exactly what he had been
looking for as it isn’t a typical
mainstream song that most people
would choose and make a music
video for. Ideas for the music video
flowed easily from the very first
time we heard it which further
aided our choice for this song. The
artist is also a male artist which
subverts from being a typical song
singing about love and heartbreak
but rather about life. The beats in
the song are also original which
made this song more appealing to
us both.

Living isn't easy, when you've been free and it's taken away
I will lay my head down, until some sense has been found.

I'm hardly known in the neighbourhood
But I can't help feeling like I've been misunderstood.
Right to my bones, yes my sinew shook,
I feel this ground is breaking, nothing is there underfoot

Living isn't easy, when you've been free and it's taken away
I will lay my head down, until some sense has been found.
Days on days, looking back I lay,
I know I'm insecure but I've been wasting away.
Solace comes like I hoped it would,
Love has overcome things I didn't know it could.
Living isn't easy, when you've been free and it's taken away
I will lay my head down, until some sense has been found.
