Pictures- they’re placed in same
positions on each page, formal
modern layout. The line of pictures
down the side are shaped like a
rectangle and all entwined together.
Simple title- stating the content
page, the black colour and boldness
of the title against the white makes
it stand out, also the vase amount of
space around the title makes the
title stand out as well.
Small text- the content positioned in
groups roughly make the same
shape as each pictures (groups or
singular). The large space left on the
page makes the whole style unique.

Main image- the background of
the whole content page, the
image is black and white but with
a main black tint. The pose of the
model is roughly framing the
text, emphasising what the
content says.
Text- is white, due to the dark
background this makes the text
stand out against the main
image and background. There
are varies font sizes this implies
some text is more important
than other pieces.
Title- this is the biggest piece of text
on the page as it’s the name of the
magazine.
Little titles- these give
information as to what's on in
the magazine they’re clear
and informative
Border- the white border
makes the whole image and
background pop, it gives the
main image importance due
to the framing from the
border.

5. • The titles are all the same and do not vary between
different content pages however the colour of the
font does change depending on the background. It
changes to contrast the background so it stands out as
the title is important to get the magazine recognisable
• Each page features one main image of mid shot/close
up instead of multiple images packed together, the
images are blown up big to fit the page
• The text that lays on each page are in an organised
order in one straight line, the text seems to border
the face of each main image

Images- both images are front
covers of a clash magazine but
not this particular one, the mise
en scene in the image on the left
attracts readers due to the
different unique style of the
whole look featured. The image
on the right is a more formal/less
exciting style however expresses
the magazines genre in a more
forceful way.
Layout- Everything on the page
is centred to the middle, the
simple unconventional style
gives the theme
Title- the different font of ‘content’
reinforces that this is where you find
out what's in the magazine and all the
information of where to find
everything
Text- the text uses the boldness of the
typography to draw more attention to
that area of the page, the boldness also
presents that this is more important,
for example different names such as
‘Ben Howard’ and ‘DJ Yoda’. These
musicians particular apply to the target
audience, the boldness gives these
names recognition.
Under this subtitle fashion, the content
is considerably less than the music
subtitle depicting how music the main
focus of this magazine and fashion is a
less important factor to the magazine.

7. • Similarities of clashes content pages
include the same fonts used as titles.
The different typography and sizes of
the lettering associate the rank of
importance on the page as they’re
the headings of each section within
the magazine.
• The styles of the content pages varies
slightly however keep the same style
theme and colour scheme. The
general style is a simple layout which
has an edgy touch due to the fonts
and different sized images. Only the
top/ top and bottom of the pages are
bordered with black border.
• The dullness of clashes content pages
contrasts the colourful images,
making the images stand out further
giving them importance and relevants
giving the fact they link to the text.
