Catalan folklore features traditional music played on instruments like the flabiol, tamborí, and tible in the cobla. The national anthem "Els Segadors" commemorates a peasant revolt in 1714. Popular dances include the sardana, danced in a circle holding hands to cobla music, and the ball de bastons danced by couples with sticks. Another tradition is castellers, which are human towers with different levels culminating in a hand signal from the person at the top. Rumba Catalana shows the influence of flamenco with Catalan and Romani elements.

3. INTRODUCTION
In Catalonia, we have very owned culture. A
very important spect is the typical music and
instruments. Catalonia is not Spain, we don't
dance “sevillanas”, we don't sing “flamenco”.
So let's see how is our culture! :)

towers of four to more levels.
• They are formed by: the
“pinya” at the bottom, the
“tronc” (the column) and the
“pom de dalt” at the top.
• When the “anxeneta” arrives
to the top, she rises up her
hand (l’aleta) and only then
the castell is finished.
