This document is a catalog for the Serenity Weight Loss and Detoxification Program. It describes the program's multi-phase cleansing process to detoxify the colon and internal organs over 12-21 days. Each phase focuses on a different section of the colon and includes herbal supplements and fiber to support cleansing and weight loss. The Detoxification Cleansing Process

The words on the colon chart correspond to the different areas of the body
that might be diseased. For example, if you have a sinus problem, then it is
assumed that you are at congested in that area of the colon. Note how far
back the sinus section of the colon exists!

Hormonal problems which have their root in the liver, indicate congestion in
the beginning of the 3rd section of the large intestine, in the area labeled
liver/gallbladder. Thus, a person with a hormonal based condition such as an
enlarged prostate, fibroids, ovarian cysts or menopause would benefit from a
liver/gallbladder flush
High Cholesterol- Thus, when you are told you have "high cholesterol", it
means you have too much excess fat accumulated in the liver. Remember that
ALL fat is removed from the body through the colon.
Notice that in both situations, hormonal imbalances and high cholesterol, the
root problem is the liver, located on the Phase III corner of the colon, near the
gallbladder. A liver/ gallbladder flush is also recommended, and you will have
the option to do your first liver/gallbladder flush during the 6th or 8th week
of your program.
Why cleanse during weight loss?: Fat is a toxin that is released in the stool; in
other words, all of the weight that you lose, 5lbs, 10lbs, etc, regardless of the
program type, is released in the toilet! This is true for everyone. When the
channels of elimination are clogged, fat is reabsorbed into the blood stream
and converted back to fat. Fat also gets stored in various organs of the body
when too much of it is circulating in the blood. High cholesterol is nothing
more than excess fat deposits that have accumulated in the liver. Gall stones
are hardened masses of fat deposits (mixed with calcium) that have
accumulated in the gallbladder.
How much stool can you expect to
eliminate?
Although experts vary on the amount of stool the average adult may hold at any
given time, estimates range from a low of 5 lbs to as high as 25-40 lbs. It takes
approximately six months to thoroughly cleanse the small and large intestines.

TWO WEEKS
Descending Colon
This phase primarily cleanses the first 1/3 of the colon - from the rectal opening to
the region of the pancreas and spleen. You can expect to lose anywhere from 8-10
lbs. during this phase, if you are overweight. If you are at or near the correct
weight for you, you can expect to lose about 3-5 lbs., mostly in the abdominal
area. If you have diabetes, high blood pressure or unbalanced cholesterol levels,
these will improve considerably during this phase.

PHASE II-Parasite

Transverse Colon
Phase II is designed to cleanse the transverse colon; the section that goes
across your stomach under your rib cage. In the diagram, it is the area
that spans from the spleen to the region of the liver/gallbladder. Your stool
may be very dark (almost black or dark green) and very foul. The older
the stool is or the more toxic you are from previous years, the more
intense the odor will be, however, it should improve during the latter part
of this phase or during Phase III. Consult with your counselor if you see
anything that resembles worms or parasites, or if you have a cottage
cheese like discharge. You can expect to lose between 6-10 lbs. during this
phase.

Ascending Colon
During this phase the goal is to cleanse the final 1/3 of the large intestines.
During phase III however, notice the frequency of your bowel movements,
consistency, the amount and nature of the debris that is released. You
should lose between 5-10 lbs. during this phase. Weight, blood pressure,
cholesterol and blood sugar levels continue to fall during this phase, if it is

HISTORY
The Serenity Weight Loss and Detoxification Program © was founded in 1992,
starting within our retail store known as Serenity Health and Body Shoppe
and vegetarian café, located in Hempstead, NY. After opening a second
location in Valley Stream, NY, and two in Atlanta, GA, it was apparent that
times were changing and new ways were needed for servicing a client base
now exploding in all 50 states. The Company also wanted to be able to
accommodate new customers in response to the soon to be released book on
the Serenity program.
Serenity is still owned and operated by its original founder, Michelle
Edmonds. Although her husband and Serenity’s co-founder passed in August,
2009 after a long illness, client files have been retained uninterrupted, in
secure archives, from the very first client to our most recent. To date, we
have over 12,000 files!
The web-based program was started in 2000. We still adhere to the basic
three-phase program, where each cleansing phase is done in two-week
segments. Products are shipped in customized kits, while special instructions,
food guides, pre-start assignments are sent via email. Food diaries are
reviewed weekly and sent to your counselor via email. Phone consultations
are offered as needed, especially in the start-up stages. Pricing is flat rate for
the kit, which is all inclusive for the time-period intended
