1. Cast, crew, budget & contingency, and launch date (including props,
costume hire or anything I need to buy).
Cast and crew
Playing Megan, the British teenage girl in the first half of the short filmwill be a friend of
mine Bethany Driscoll, a singer who is 17 years old, she is around 5ft 5 in height and has
long brown curly hair. I believe she will be perfect for the role as she has had experience
with drama and acting as she was in every school production from years 7 to 11 and did
drama for gcse. I also believe another reason she will be good for this character as she fits
the character profile quite well and this will help to make the filmmore believable. She will
also fit well with the character profile of the mainstreamand/or the reformeronthe youngand
Rubicam’s4c’s model andC1 (lowermiddle class)onthe NRSsocial grade classificationscale.
Playing Amélie, the Frenchteenage girl will be, eithermysisterormy FrenchfriendRoman
Playingthe Englishparentsare ChrisandDawnWardale and playingthe Frenchparentsare my mum
and myFrench friendPierre.
Extras like the parentsare still yettobe decidedasI am not sure if theywill physicallyfeature inthe
filmasI mightjusthave theirvoicesinstead.
Budget
I will budget around £200 for my film to cover all costs including things such as props,
costume hire food, travel…
What? Notes Cost
Props I will put aside around £30 for the
purchasing of props such as the
calendars, pictures in frames, etc.
£30
Costume If the actors don’t already have the
clothes for the costume ideas I have
for them then I will have to purchase
the costumes.
£50
Food As it will probably take me around a
day for each half of the film I will
have to provide food for the actors.
£30
travel As I will probably have to drive the
actors to the locations and pick and
drop them off from their homes or
take the bus I need to make sure
that I budget for this.
£30
Contingency I will put £50 of my budget aside as a
contingency just in case I need to
make last minute changes so I will
be able to cover the cost.
£60
Total £200
Launch date
2. The launch date for this filmwould be the 1st of august because this would increase the
chances of more of the target audience being able to see the film as it is at the start of the
summer holidays all the teens will be off of school so they will have time to go out and
watch it and bring their friends along which will spread the word around and encourage
more people to watch it.
Contingency
Actors- if actors aren’t available I have 2 back up actors
to play the teenage girls Maddie Benlow and Isla
Wolfenden. They are both 16 and in year 11 and fit the
character descriptions perfectly. In the end I ended up
having to use the contingency actors as the time I
wanted to film the planned actors weren’t available.
Weather- If the weather is bad it won’t affect the indoor shots however the outdoor scene
setting shots will have to be postponed to a later date.
Timing- If the time I have predicted to shoot the filmruns over I will have to arrange with
the actors to come back to continue filming at a later date, but as it stands this shouldn’t
happen as it should be able to be shot in 1 day.
Schedule- if my schedule goes off plan I will have to take a break mid filming and re adjust
the plan to see how it will effect if I will be able to finish all the filming in that day. Which
will then lean back to my timing contingency plan.
