Las causas de la pancreatitis son variadas (según el
tipo), pudiendo ser debidas a algún tipo de infección,
cáncer pancreático, hipercalcemia, farmacológico, o
por antecedentes familiares pero continúan siendo los
más comunes la colelitiasis y el alcoholismo.

9. Historia de la enfermedad actual
Paciente refiere cuadro clínico de 12 horas de evolución
caracterizado por dolor tipo cólico en región de epigástrica
de gran intensidad 8/10 (en la escala numérica del dolor) que
se irradia a hipocondrio izquierdo y región infraescapular,
post ingesta de alcohol. El cual se acompaña de nauseas que
llegan al vomito en 6 oportunidades siendo inicialmente de
contenido alimentario y posteriormente biliosos. Por lo que
decide automedicarse con una capsula de rowachol al no
presentar mejoría acude a emergencias.
