UPS has created an automation team within their scheduling organization for the purpose of
driving down job failures and increasing efficiencies for their scheduling and operations teams.
This talk will review how UPS has been able to take advantage of CA Workload Automation ESP
Edition’s automation capabilities to increase job throughput to meet their ever changing
business demands without increasing personnel.

§ Production Workload Automation – Manages and maintains an automated, multi-
platform Production Batch Environment through the use of centralized Scheduling
and Change Management tools. We provide a secure, highly-available, 24x7
processing environment ensuring the life cycle implementation requirements of
UPS applications and infrastructure environments are met. This is accomplished
through controlled installations and implementations of both application and
infrastructure changes to the Production Environments.
