This case study examines 7-year-old Tyler Receo, a second grade student who exhibits some symptoms of ADHD such as hyperactivity, inattentiveness, and impulsiveness in class. Tyler is sociable, excels in English and art, and has average height and weight for his age. He has difficulty with fine motor skills like writing and using pencils, but shows the cognitive abilities of a normal child. While Tyler displays some ADHD behaviors, his emotional development and social skills appear typical of children without ADHD. The report evaluates whether Tyler meets the criteria to be diagnosed with ADHD or if his development is within normal ranges.
