QUESTION 1
Pfizer company is a global pharmaceutical
company.Pfizer want to help employees be
more efficient and effective.Because
successfulbusiness depends on the efficient
and effective employees. The higher level and
lower level of employees of the Pfizer
company has lost time with menior works that
was barrier to successfulbusiness and
effective and efficient employees. Pfizer
employee was spending 20 percent to 40
percent of his or her time on creating
documents, typing notes, manipulating data,
scheduling meeting. Only 60 percent to 80
percent on knowledge work. So Pfizer
engaged the outsourcing work with other
country. Maximum menior works were done
by the outsourcing.

There are six organizational design elements.
1. Designing jobs.
2. Grouping jobs.
3. Establishing reporting relationship.
4. Distributing authority.
5. Coordinating activities.
6. Differentiating between positions.
Pfizer company chooses a strucrral approach
of deparmentalization.Because the cost
involved are charged to the emloyees
department. The second building block of the
organization structure is the grouping of jobs
According to the logical arrangement.I think
deparmentalization make the efficient and
effective employee. Because various tasks of
the company are assigned to the various
department. So the company save time and
performance of the company is increasing
and tmely. Like other organizational
satructural departmentalization has both
advantages and disadvantages. The main
advantage of the departmentalization is cost
effective. The disadvantage of the
departmentalization is costly to maintain the
and coordinate departments of the company.

The pfizer company maintain departmentalion
.the company also connected to the outsourcing
of the work. Pfizer is a large global pharmaceutical
company. I think the arrangement of work is
suitable for the large and multinational company.
Because large company need functional , product ,
customer, location departmentalization. Every
department are related to onec another.Since the
company is connected to the outsourcing so they
separate departrment of outsourcing. But this
approach is not suitable for the small And medium
large company. Because to maintain department
is very costly for these type of company. So the
large and multinational company might
departmentalization for their convenience.

The pfizer company innovated the new kind of
organizational structure that plays in an
organizations efficiency and effectiveness.
Actually the company maintain the
depamentalization or groping jobs and added to
perform the outsurcing the work with cost
effective way. Pfizer is continually lookin for ways
to help employees be more effective and
effectiveness. The companys senior director have
found the employees were spending the valuable
time with menial tasks was startling. The pfizer
employee was spending 20 percent to the 40
percent of his or her time on supprt work. The
problem were affected both the lower level and
higher level of the company. So the company
added to the outsourcing department and
perform the the menial tasks by the others
country with a cost effective way. The pfizer
company was brought efficiency and effectiveness
of the employee and successful business.
Because they finished the work within the one
month by departmentalization that was made six
month if they would not maintain
departmentalization.
