The Caribbean Procurement Training Programme (CPTP) was established in 2017 at the University of Technology, Jamaica, with funding from the World Bank and Caribbean Development Bank, providing training in internationally accredited CIPS Level 4 programs. The program has trained 85 participants from 40 companies across 13 Caribbean countries, focusing on courses related to sustainable procurement, ethical sourcing, and public procurement. The CPTP aims to address legislative and regulatory reforms and develop qualified procurement professionals to maximize public procurement benefits in the Caribbean.
