PHILOSOPHY
Life is the measure of one’s accomplishments, abilities, knowledge, and failures.
I started my career with the intention to support my family and give them a life outside of
the welfare system. I started in the clerical department in an insurance company and
move up to the position of a Claims Processor Specialist. I found that I had a hunger for
learning and especially new technology. I also found that if one is going to do a job, do it
well and give one hundred percent. I am at my best when working to resolve a problem
or seeking a new way to complete a job.
LIFE ACCOMPLISHMENTS
I received all my high school credits by the first semester of my senior year.
After graduating high school 1971, got married and had my first two children. After my
divorce, I went back to college, got a job working in insurance, was remarried again, and
had two more children. I taught my children that if you want to get anywhere in this
world, working hard and doing a great job will get you there. Life is an adventure, make
the best of it and be happy.
After twenty-seven years at the insurance company I worked for, I went to work
with my husband at a trucking company delivering products over 48 states. I had the
great pleasure of meeting different people in different parts of this great country. It was a
feeling of freedom, enjoyment, and experience so much.
I have been the secretary of a racing club and have the awards for thirteen years of
service to the members. I received a safety award for maintaining equipment for the
government, an award and bonus for creating the storage program for Allstate Insurance

Company. Also, received the Eagle service award for helping other departments within
the company.
The important things I have learned over this life time is keep a positive attitude,
be open to new ideas, don’t be afraid to venture outside your comfort zone, and know
when to stand up for what you believe in. Another thing I have learned is failures only
make you stronger and admitting you were wrong is not a bad thing, it is a strong point.
