Abstract: The purpose of this research was to gather information in exploring the discourses of the studentmothers in the academe impacting struggles, hopes, aspirations, and their coping mechanisms employed on the
different pressures they faced. The following research objectives informed this research: to describe the struggles
and journey of student-mothers; to determine the hopes and aspirations of student-mothers; and to determine the
coping mechanisms of student-mothers of the different pressures they are facing. This phenomenological study
explored and described the experiences of student mothers. A researcher-made interview guide questionnaire was
used in gathering data. This study also involved collecting, compiling, and analyzing data gathered through semistructured interviews. From the three major themes, namely: 1) struggles and journey; 2) hopes and aspirations;
and 3) coping mechanisms; twelve sub-themes emerged which included time management, financial concerns,
negative criticisms from people, motherhood responsibilities, health reasons, intellectual challenges, to complete a
degree, to land a job immediately for a better life, to make the family proud, strengthening family bond, selfmotivation, and support from family, friends, and teachers. This research implies encouragement to other mothers
to continue their incomplete education even if they already have children or families of their own. Further, the
research suggests a motivation to push and work harder for still; victory awaits those who sacrifice and persevere.
Future directions are also discussed in this study.

This thesis examines how mothers can promote critical thinking in their 4-5 year old children through their interactions. The researcher developed assessments to identify features of critical thinking in young children and designed an intervention program to teach mothers strategies to support critical thinking. In a study with Indonesian mother-child pairs, the intervention group mothers learned to encourage children's questioning and reasoning. While the control group children's critical thinking also developed over time, the intervention group children showed greater improvements. The findings highlight how metacognitive programs for parents can promote critical thinking in young ages.

Inspiring Prosocial Behaviour in the Classroom through Collaborative Learning...ijtsrd
The mission of this case study was to analyze whether the collaborative learning environment in the classroom inspires prosocial behavior in students. Prosocial behaviours are intended to help other people, characterized by a concern about the rights, feelings and welfare of others. Behaviours that can be described as prosocial include feeling empathy and concern for others and behaving in ways to help or benefit other people. The sample consisted of a single classroom with 35 students. The analysis was done using sociograms. The sociometric analysis has shown that the prosocial behavior of students has improved while participating in the collaborative learning activities. Bergeron, julie l, implementing a school based mentoring program schooling v1...William Kritsonis
The study investigated the effects of a school-based mentoring program on at-risk 3rd grade students' social development. 38 students were paired with mentors who met weekly over 6 months, using lessons on character traits. Pre- and post-tests showed students significantly improved their interpersonal skills, hostility/irritability, and antisocial behavior but not academic/self-management skills. The program had a positive impact with minimal resources required and mentors able to easily implement the standardized curriculum. However, the study was limited by a small sample size and lack of long-term follow up.

Social Work Students and the Research Process: Exploring the Thinking, Feeling, and Doing of Research

The purpose of this pilot study was to explore how social work students enrolled in a research course report their thoughts, feelings, and satisfaction with the research process. A pretest and posttest, self-report measures, the State-Trait Anxiety Scale (Y1), and subscales of the Research Process Survey were used to track the thoughts, feelings, and actions of 111 social work research students during a fifteen-week semester. Results of paired sample t-tests revealed that although social work students experienced a decrease in negative thoughts and feelings (e.g., anxiety) about the research process, they were not satisfied with it. These findings have important implications for social work education. Helping students increase not only their positive thoughts and feelings about research but also their satisfaction level can assist with the long-term educational goal to educate social work professionals who can provide high-quality services, evaluate practice, and improve practice, policy, and social service delivery.

Community-based participatory research (CBPR) in an education context equitably involves teachers, pupils, community members, organisational representatives and researchers, with a commitment to sharing power and resources and drawing on the unique strengths that each partner brings. The aim through this approach is to increase knowledge and understanding of a given phenomenon and integrate the knowledge gained into interventions, policy and social change to improve the health and quality of life of those in the school community. Sightsavers, a disability-focused iNGO, has been implementing a community-based participatory research approach (CBPR) within its education and social inclusion research in the global South. This paper describes the CBPR methodology, how it works within international development, and its impact on Sightsavers interventions in schools. Specific reference will be made to working with teachers as peer researchers – including those with disabilities, training material for peer researchers, CBPR ethical principles, and community analysis of data.

Differentiated Learning Exemplars for
Students’ Academic Achievement in English

This research evaluated and assessed the learning competency level of the respondents in English and the
different determinants that hinder their learning capability in English. It utilized descriptive survey method
during the conduct of the study. To determine the subjects of the study, universal sampling techniques was
utilized. In addition, respondents’ socio economic status and learning preferences were also investigated. To
answer the socio economic status, a tool was used that was adopted from the Bureau of Census and National
Statistics quoted from the study of Pansit (2018) on “Enhanced MTB Strategic Intervention Materials for
Reading” is used with a statistical treatment on simple percentage. It was found out that education level of
respondents’ parents is in Elementary level with a percentage 63.16% which means that parents could not provide
an appropriate academic information to their children .Meanwhile, in determining, learning styles of the
respondents, adopted questionnaire from the study of Ocampo (2018) on Pedagogical Exemplars in Mathematics
Across Learning Styles utilizing weighted mean. It found out, that the highest ranked of learners’ learning style is
visual which has a weighted mean of 2.36. This is a great manifestation that learners learned best if lessons were
presented interestingly and visually given. Visuals that are chunked into bit of ideas for easier understanding.
Hence this increases student's interest in the subject matter. Meanwhile, it was revealed that, the over-all learning
competency level of the respondents, is in below average. This implies that more exposure of exercises must be
done for the learners to gain mastery of these learning competencies. Therefore, it is encouraged to craft
differentiated learning exemplars fitted to their learning styles and engage them on the different exercises for the
improvement of their academic performance.

This document summarizes a research study that examined students' awareness of agritourism in Cavite, Philippines. The study utilized surveys to assess the knowledge of 300 college students regarding agritourism operations in Cavite and determine how their demographic characteristics related to their levels of awareness. Key findings were that students aged 20 and older who were in their first year of college and single demonstrated the highest levels of awareness. The study concluded there was a significant difference in awareness levels based on demographic groupings. It recommended future research and information campaigns to increase understanding and support of agritourism among students and address challenges facing the industry.

Abstract: It is vital to comprehend blended learning, also referred to as hybrid learning, because it is a format now
applied more frequently than ever in virtual classrooms, whether teachers are working as freelance online teachers
or teaching English online with established tutoring companies. The technological developments have allowed for
blended learning and teaching processes in education institutions among learners successfully. Teaching the
English language needs the right processes that would enable learners to effectively capture specific concepts and
ideas in English. This work explores the importance of hybrid teaching methods among English learners by
analyzing blended and hybrid learning and teaching processes. Hybrid coaching approaches are seen as blended
teaching that combines online experiences and one-on-one interaction during the education processes. Over the
years, various foreign language programs have been designed via online classrooms due to the dependence of
online support and educator preparation through substantial studies. Thus, hybrid learning approaches need
proper research and planning to be useful and effective for learners, particularly in learning English. They entail
the development processes of connected communication skills via the support and preparations of educators based
on literature studies. The teaching of the English language among learners is based on language program
directors, literature studies, and professional development in particular contexts as provided. The study examines
the processes and significance of hybrid teaching and learning approaches that allow professional development in
teaching and learning English language among learners. The objective of this work is to motivate foreign language
educators at schools to implement hybrid learning and teaching approaches in their classes to improve student
involvement with English as a foreign language and offer more prospects to practice English outside the
classrooms. I started by describing blended or hybrid learning and some of its strengths, differentiating this mixed
approach from the flipped classrooms.

Education was strongly affected by this health crisis, schools and universities were closed; thus teachers and
students had to abandon their physical classrooms and move to online education. Sustaining the quality of
education has become a challenge during this transitional time, and supportive environment was needed to focus
on learning and teaching.

Inspiring Prosocial Behaviour in the Classroom through Collaborative Learning...ijtsrd
The mission of this case study was to analyze whether the collaborative learning environment in the classroom inspires prosocial behavior in students. Prosocial behaviours are intended to help other people, characterized by a concern about the rights, feelings and welfare of others. Behaviours that can be described as prosocial include feeling empathy and concern for others and behaving in ways to help or benefit other people. The sample consisted of a single classroom with 35 students. The analysis was done using sociograms. The sociometric analysis has shown that the prosocial behavior of students has improved while participating in the collaborative learning activities. The study investigated the effects of a school-based mentoring program on at-risk 3rd grade students' social development. 38 students were paired with mentors who met weekly over 6 months, using lessons on character traits. Pre- and post-tests showed students significantly improved their interpersonal skills, hostility/irritability, and antisocial behavior but not academic/self-management skills. The program had a positive impact with minimal resources required and mentors able to easily implement the standardized curriculum. However, the study was limited by a small sample size and lack of long-term follow up.

Social Work Students and the Research Process: Exploring the Thinking, Feeling, and Doing of Research

The purpose of this pilot study was to explore how social work students enrolled in a research course report their thoughts, feelings, and satisfaction with the research process. A pretest and posttest, self-report measures, the State-Trait Anxiety Scale (Y1), and subscales of the Research Process Survey were used to track the thoughts, feelings, and actions of 111 social work research students during a fifteen-week semester. Results of paired sample t-tests revealed that although social work students experienced a decrease in negative thoughts and feelings (e.g., anxiety) about the research process, they were not satisfied with it. These findings have important implications for social work education. Helping students increase not only their positive thoughts and feelings about research but also their satisfaction level can assist with the long-term educational goal to educate social work professionals who can provide high-quality services, evaluate practice, and improve practice, policy, and social service delivery.

Community-based participatory research (CBPR) in an education context equitably involves teachers, pupils, community members, organisational representatives and researchers, with a commitment to sharing power and resources and drawing on the unique strengths that each partner brings. The aim through this approach is to increase knowledge and understanding of a given phenomenon and integrate the knowledge gained into interventions, policy and social change to improve the health and quality of life of those in the school community. Sightsavers, a disability-focused iNGO, has been implementing a community-based participatory research approach (CBPR) within its education and social inclusion research in the global South. This paper describes the CBPR methodology, how it works within international development, and its impact on Sightsavers interventions in schools. Specific reference will be made to working with teachers as peer researchers – including those with disabilities, training material for peer researchers, CBPR ethical principles, and community analysis of data.

Differentiated Learning Exemplars for
Students’ Academic Achievement in English

This research evaluated and assessed the learning competency level of the respondents in English and the
different determinants that hinder their learning capability in English. It utilized descriptive survey method
during the conduct of the study. To determine the subjects of the study, universal sampling techniques was
utilized. In addition, respondents’ socio economic status and learning preferences were also investigated. To
answer the socio economic status, a tool was used that was adopted from the Bureau of Census and National
Statistics quoted from the study of Pansit (2018) on “Enhanced MTB Strategic Intervention Materials for
Reading” is used with a statistical treatment on simple percentage. It was found out that education level of
respondents’ parents is in Elementary level with a percentage 63.16% which means that parents could not provide
an appropriate academic information to their children .Meanwhile, in determining, learning styles of the
respondents, adopted questionnaire from the study of Ocampo (2018) on Pedagogical Exemplars in Mathematics
Across Learning Styles utilizing weighted mean. It found out, that the highest ranked of learners’ learning style is
visual which has a weighted mean of 2.36. This is a great manifestation that learners learned best if lessons were
presented interestingly and visually given. Visuals that are chunked into bit of ideas for easier understanding.
Hence this increases student's interest in the subject matter. Meanwhile, it was revealed that, the over-all learning
competency level of the respondents, is in below average. This implies that more exposure of exercises must be
done for the learners to gain mastery of these learning competencies. Therefore, it is encouraged to craft
differentiated learning exemplars fitted to their learning styles and engage them on the different exercises for the
improvement of their academic performance.

This document summarizes a research study that examined students' awareness of agritourism in Cavite, Philippines. The study utilized surveys to assess the knowledge of 300 college students regarding agritourism operations in Cavite and determine how their demographic characteristics related to their levels of awareness. Key findings were that students aged 20 and older who were in their first year of college and single demonstrated the highest levels of awareness. The study concluded there was a significant difference in awareness levels based on demographic groupings. Abstract: It is vital to comprehend blended learning, also referred to as hybrid learning, because it is a format now
applied more frequently than ever in virtual classrooms, whether teachers are working as freelance online teachers
or teaching English online with established tutoring companies. The technological developments have allowed for
blended learning and teaching processes in education institutions among learners successfully. Teaching the
English language needs the right processes that would enable learners to effectively capture specific concepts and
ideas in English. This work explores the importance of hybrid teaching methods among English learners by
analyzing blended and hybrid learning and teaching processes. Hybrid coaching approaches are seen as blended
teaching that combines online experiences and one-on-one interaction during the education processes. Over the
years, various foreign language programs have been designed via online classrooms due to the dependence of
online support and educator preparation through substantial studies. Thus, hybrid learning approaches need
proper research and planning to be useful and effective for learners, particularly in learning English. They entail
the development processes of connected communication skills via the support and preparations of educators based
on literature studies. The teaching of the English language among learners is based on language program
directors, literature studies, and professional development in particular contexts as provided. The study examines
the processes and significance of hybrid teaching and learning approaches that allow professional development in
teaching and learning English language among learners. The objective of this work is to motivate foreign language
educators at schools to implement hybrid learning and teaching approaches in their classes to improve student
involvement with English as a foreign language and offer more prospects to practice English outside the
classrooms. I started by describing blended or hybrid learning and some of its strengths, differentiating this mixed
approach from the flipped classrooms.

Abstract: Meaning conveyance is a fundamental goal in language teaching and learning. To accomplish this
essential goal, effective communication should be mastered in EFL classrooms. It is well known that
communication is divided into two forms; verbal communication and non-verbal communication. Non-verbal
communication is considered one of the most effective techniques in meaning conveyance. This study investigates
the effects of non-verbal communication in conveying meaning in EFL classrooms. Conveying meaning in foreign
language classes is a crucial issue because learning a language, whether native or foreign, cannot occur without
effective conveyance of meaning. In teaching English as a foreign language, meaning needs to happen within
levels, activities and functions. One of the most important activities is the presentation of new words and
structures. There are many ways of doing this. Examples of these include providing definitions, explaining the
meaning, giving example, miming, translation, synonyms and antonyms, and contextualization. A questionnaire
for EFL teachers was used as a data gathering tool. Later the responses of the participants were analysed.

anticipated in traditional residential practices if exploited effectively. Even though research myriads have proved
that it is a student-and-action-based model that has the potential to accomplish optimal education and learning
outcomes when applied successfully, online learning more often than not has been criticized for being unable to
engage learners amply. Understandably, in residential systems, teaching learners to develop critical thinking skills
has been challenging because it needs the physical presence of students and faculty to participate in the analyses
and syntheses of complex concepts for applications, clarity and better assimilations. To successfully apply the same
in an e-learning setting will need augmented knowledge in the subject matters as well as knowledge in the elearning dynamics, including applications of germane instructional strategies, contexts and influential theories.

One application of this ethical standard is awareness of the issues and trends in education, specifically in
educational planning. The issues and trends in educational planning that students are aware of are: lack of gadgets
and internet connection problems under administrative planning; blended learning, personalized learning,
experiential learning, adaptive learning, bite-sized learning, gamification, socio-emotional learning, genius hour,
and STEAM curriculum under academic curriculum or curricular planning; budgetary concerns, lack of facilities,

Abstract: Interest in promoting quality English language teaching in foreign countries has been a long-standing
government priority. English is considered the most important universal language in education and professional
work. However, English teaching is focused on professional teaching and language skills without much emphasis
on aspects of English as a culture and not merely a language. The relation between exposure to English-speaking
cultures, mainly western, and EFL’s competencies is a topic in EFL academic research that requires more
investigation, especially in the context of non-native speakers in Arab countries. In education, the present
advancements in the technology field have resulted in renewed interests to blend conventional teaching and
learning approaches with technologies that improve teaching and learning of language. This research aims to
examine the works regarding blended education challenges as a technology-improved pedagogical instrument that
combines face-to-face and e-learning instructional tasks to develop English skills, including its applications in
coaching English as a new language. Besides, this work explores how blended learning enables students to become
engaged and autonomous in knowledge development instead of acting as a passive observers. It is anticipated that
the article shall contribute to improving the knowledge body which exists in the blending learning area, mainly as
it applies to the experience acquisition issues in EFL. It can be argued that blended learning applications can
support EFL learning and maximize opportunities for EFL students to study English at their convenience freely.

Abstract: This study sought to investigate the influence of delegation of duties as a principal’s motivational practice
on teacher retention in public secondary schools in Kamukunji sub county, Nairobi County, Kenya. The study
objective sought to determine the influence of delegation of duties on teacher retention in public secondary schools
in Kamukunji Sub-County. Descriptive survey research design was used in the study. The target population
consisted of all the 8 secondary schools principals and all the 235 teachers from Kamukunji Sub-county from
which a sample of 7 principals and 67 teachers was selected using census sampling and proportionate stratified
sampling techniques and simple random sampling. Questionnaires were used as data collection tools. Reliability
was tested using the test-retest technique to determine the degree to which test scores were consistent. The data
was analyzed using descriptive statistics. The findings from quantitative data were presented in cross tabulation
tables, pie charts and bar graphs. Qualitative data was analysed qualitatively by organizing data into themes as
per the objectives of the study and the findings were presented in a narrative form. The study found that
delegation of duties had significant influence on teacher retention in public secondary schools in Kamukunji SubCounty, Nairobi County, Kenya. The study observed that all the school principals 100% and 91.0% of the teachers
agreed that delegation of duties provides teachers the ability to learn and develop new skills. This means that
delegation of duties significantly influences teacher retention. The study concluded that delegation of duties allows
teachers to acquire and develop new skills, as well as build trust and increase communication between them. The
study recommends that the administration of the school should make an attempt to allocate responsibility roles to
teachers as early as possible and allow them to gain the requisite experience.

Abstract: The COVID-19 disease which first appeared in Wuhan, in the Hubei province of China, in December
2019 was declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization in March 2020.Within a very short span
of time it lead to an unexperienced worldwide public health crisis. In order to prevent the worldwide spread of the
novel coronavirus disease universities, schools, and many other educational institutions have been either partially
or completely closed in many countries, by national governments. Problem of disengagement, shortage of
attendance and deterioration in academic achievement was experienced by many children and youth during the
pandemic. With the closure of schools and the postponement of face-to-face lessons in many countries due to the
COVID-19 pandemic, the education activities at all levels primary, secondary, high school and higher education
level as well were soon affected. In order to compensate the interrupted educational activities, due to the onset of
the COVID-19 pandemic, it became important for educational institutions to develop and implement effective
strategies in order to remodel the changes that occurred due to pandemic. Shifting towards fully-online learning
was a speedy yet necessary reflex to the coronavirus crisis. Therefore in order to provide effective learningteaching environment increased importance was given to the use of information technologies in education from the
beginning. Countries took quick steps towards digital transformation in education, and focus was given to the use
of distance learning, teaching, and assessment approaches, which was not very common prior to the pandemic.
The present situation is considered as the biggest education crisis in human history.

Abstract: Automated feedback systems have been associated with significant improvements in the outcomes for
learners in higher education. The advantages for learners are well reported, but surprisingly few articles have
investigated the advantages of automated feedback for instructors. This article reviews the use of feedback and
automated feedback systems in higher education to assist instructors to self-assess and to privately identify
potential improvements to their instructional practices. This article first describes how feedback is currently
provided in higher education settings and then discusses requirements, technology, and innovations needed to
create automated feedback systems for instructors. The proposed automated feedback system aims to assist
university instructors by providing suggestions and feedback that could help to self-examine their work privately
and immediately.

Abstract: This Study focuses on the impact of Covid 19 Pandemic on Filipino passenger’s cruise intention. The
purpose of the study is to identify what are the factors affecting the passenger’s intention to cruise in reference to
the health protocols set by CLIA or Cruise Lines International Association. To identify whether these factors vary
depending on the respondents’ demographic profile, a 4-point Likert scale is used in the research questionnaire to
be answered by the target respondents which are Filipino who has cruise experience with the age range of 21 years
old and above. The research questionnaire determines if there are significant difference between the passenger’s
intention to cruise during pandemic and the respondents profile based on its variables. With a total of 97
respondents, the results show the respondent’s demographic profile and determine whether age, gender, marital
status, monthly income, educational attainment and number of cruise experience has significant differences in
passenger’s intention to cruise. The findings also suggest what strategies can be proposed to attract Filipino cruise
ship passengers amidst COVID-19. The study identified that the only demographic profile of respondents that
shows a significant difference in their intention to cruise are people of 21 – 27 years old on onboard procedure,
people who are married and post graduate degrees. The study also identified that health protocols set by cruise
industry like Embarkation & testing, Onboard procedures, Medical & public health response and Shore
excursions has greatly affected the passenger’s intention to cruise.

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of s port injuries on the level of confidence and
anxiety among athletes in different games. Participants were (121) athletes (M-81, F-40) were selected randomly
from different sports. Descriptive data was collected through the use of a questionnaire established by the
researcher, which included personal information (age, years of experience, gender and place of living), and a
questionnaire of psychological effect of sport which consisted of (50) items, divided into four subscales.
(Confidence, Anxiety, Physical abilities). The results showed relationship between sport injuries and physical
abilities in reducing or increasing injuries among athletes, also the results showed that self-confidence and anxiety
(trait, state) did not affect in increasing or reducing in percentage of injuries among athletes, meanwhile the results
showed a significant relationship between the effect of sport injuries and (self-confidence, anxiety and physical
abilities) among athletes in different games. A significant difference between male and female in favor of female in
trait anxiety, significant differences between trait anxiety and different sports a significant differences showed
between psychological variables and effect of sport injuries (between different sports, also a significant difference
between sport injuries and physical abilities according to sport variable; between basketball players and tennis
players in favor of basketball, and a significant difference between sport injuries and trait anxiety between football
players and basketball players in favor of basketball.
Abstract: This paper assessed the effect of training and development on employee performance using Bank BIC as
the case study. The study focused on the objectives which sought to assess the effect of training and development
on employee performance at Bank BIC, to determine the training and development practices and purposes at
Bank BIC, and to determine the training and development policy at Bank BIC Namibia. A mixed research method
was used with a sample size of 35 respondents. The study found that the majority (59.09%) of the respondents
agreed that training and development are improving their job performance at the Bank BIC. The majority (50
percent) of the respondents strongly agree that training and development are important for growth at the Bank
BIC. The majority (54.55 percent) of the respondents agree that training and development have improved their
morale. The majority (50 percent) of the respondents on the job training is an efficient tool for learning new skills
and improving current skills. The majority (40.91 percent) of the respondents agree that the training and
development that employees received is relevant to their work. The majority (59.09 percent) of the respondents
indicated that there was no specific training schedule at the Bank BIC. The majority (59.09 percent) of the
respondents indicated that the objective of training and development at the Bank BIC is to improve performance.
The majority (86.36 percent) of the respondents indicated that Bank BIC uses on-the-job training and that the
training and development policy at Bank BIC entails involving all the employees in the training program and
making them aware of the objectives of the training program. The study recommended that Bank BIC's training
and development practices should be reviewed regularly, with an appropriate assessment of the organization's
needs and identification of individuals' skills, knowledge, and educational backgrounds. On the other hand, the
organization creates appropriate training methods for employees based on their abilities and educational
backgrounds. The training and development program should be related to the needs of the employees and should
be matched to the objectives of the organization and the training should be chosen based on a proper need
assessment. This allows the organization to determine whether employees are comfortable with their jobs and
work environments, as well as how they deliver quality service

Abstract: The present study was undertaken to examine the Impact of Schemes Designed for Women in Goa on
their Self-Esteem and Psychological Well-Being. The sample consisted of women belonging from the age group 18-
40 years and above. These women belonged to the various talukas of Goa. The sample comprised of 1050 women.
The tools used in this study included Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale developed by Morris Rosenberg and the Ryffs
Psychological Well-Being Scale developed by Carol Ryff. Data was analysed by incorporating the t-test and
ANOVA. The results have shown that women who have availed schemes have shown higher level of self-esteem.
Women who have not faced difficulties in applying for schemes have shown higher psychological well-being and
self-esteem. The studies also revealed that women who have received skill training, have their own business and
are employed in an organization show better psychological well-being and self-esteem in comparison to
housewives. Women who are employed show higher level of self-esteem and psychological well-being compared to
women who are unemployed
This document provides a comparative study of the new Universities Law (LU) of 2019 and the old Higher Education and Universities Council System (HEUC) law of 1993 in Saudi Arabia. Some key similarities between the laws include the Saudi government maintaining significant influence over public universities through the Universities Affairs Council. However, there are also important differences in the organizational and administrative structures outlined in the laws, and the LU provides public universities more freedom to diversify funding sources and gain financial independence from the government. The study aims to understand these similarities and differences by comparing articles between the two laws.

Abstract: Public debts if secured and managed sustainably have been shown to boost economic growth and
development, especially for developing economies. Unfortunately, Nigeria’s increasing debt profile, has not been
managed efficiently and transparently to produce the desired economic benefits, but rather, as noted in this paper,
the country may be treading towards the threshold of debt unsustainability at debt to GDP ratio of 40%. The
country uses more than 90% of its revenue to service its debts, which, the paper noted has pushed the country into
debt distress, macroeconomic challenges- financial and currency crises, high unemployment, and extreme poverty
of nearly 50% of the total population. The paper thus proffered strategic policy recommendations, such as
reducing cost of government, switching to interest free debt instruments, and asset-linked securitization; removal
of fuel subsidies, and finally ensure transparent and ensuring public, parliamentary and creditors’ scrutiny of the
public debts.

Abstract: This research aimed to determine the teachers’ level of knowledge and attitude, stressors and coping
mechanisms in handling learners with learning difficulties at Carcar City Division, Carcar City, Cebu for the
school year 2019 - 2020. The twenty (20) respondents were selected using universal sampling technique. Survey
and interview questionnaires were utilized to obtain the desired results of the study. Weighted mean, percentage,
Chi – square Test of Independence, Pearson r and Colaizzi’s Method of Analysis were used in analyzing the data.
Findings revealed that the teachers are moderately knowledgeable in handling learners with learning difficulties
mainstreamed in an inclusive classroom setting. Moreover, teachers in Carcar City Division strongly support the
integration of learners with learning difficulties in an inclusive classroom setting as shown in their positive attitude
in handling these types of learners. Additionally, the teachers considered high extent of usefulness in utilizing
various cognitive, social, emotional, physical and spiritual coping mechanisms to combat stressors while handling
learners with learning difficulties. There is a positive significant correlation between teacher’s level of knowledge,
attitude and usage of coping mechanisms to their years of experience and highest educational attainment.
Knowledge is also positively correlated to their level of attitude and usage of coping mechanisms. The stressors
encountered by the teachers in handling learners with learning difficulties in an inclusive classroom are
administrative concerns and support, parental issues and behavioral issues of learners with learning difficulties
integrated with the regular students. Hence, the teachers of Carcar City Division handling learners with learning
difficulties have observed a range of stressors that could have a tremendous effect to the teaching effectiveness.

The Unknown Errors of Our Lives. It also focuses on the diasporic conflicts encountered by them and traces the
stereotypic pattern of pressure, trauma and relief in a few short stories in this anthology. Divakaruni’s emotional
rendering is very powerful and it helps us to understand the stressful moments the characters come across
throughout their lives.

Abstract: This study focused on determining the effectiveness of Modular and Recorded Video Lessons in teaching
the subject Music, Arts, Physical Education and Health (MAPEH) and on identifying area of concerns based on
findings. The modular and recorded video lessons presented to the respondents during class were designed by
subject experts in Department of Education Carcar City Division. A quasi experimental method was used and a
book-based pre-post-test was utilized as the main instrument in in determining if there was an increase in
students’ performance after the delivery of the lessons in the second quarter. There were 50 students who
participated in the study, a total of 25 students were exposed to modular lessons and another 25 students, to
recorded video lessons. Results indicate that the performance level of the students from the modular group and
experimental group increased significantly after the delivery of lessons however, there was no significant difference
of performances between the control and experimental group in the post-test results. Hence, it can be concluded
that the performance of both groups are comparable. The given results have been confirmed with a subjective
assessment of students’ regard for learning with the use of the learning modalities. The findings of the study are
recommended for consideration in the school’s effort for continual improvement in the delivery of quality
education to students.

Abstract: The purpose of this research was to gather information in exploring the discourses of the student-
mothers in the academe impacting struggles, hopes, aspirations, and their coping mechanisms employed on the
different pressures they faced. The following research objectives informed this research: to describe the struggles
and journey of student-mothers; to determine the hopes and aspirations of student-mothers; and to determine the
coping mechanisms of student-mothers of the different pressures they are facing. This phenomenological study
explored and described the experiences of student mothers. A researcher-made interview guide questionnaire was
used in gathering data. This study also involved collecting, compiling, and analyzing data gathered through semi-
structured interviews. From the three major themes, namely: 1) struggles and journey; 2) hopes and aspirations;
and 3) coping mechanisms; twelve sub-themes emerged which included time management, financial concerns,
negative criticisms from people, motherhood responsibilities, health reasons, intellectual challenges, to complete a
degree, to land a job immediately for a better life, to make the family proud, strengthening family bond, self-
motivation, and support from family, friends, and teachers. This research implies encouragement to other mothers
to continue their incomplete education even if they already have children or families of their own. Further, the
research suggests a motivation to push and work harder for still; victory awaits those who sacrifice and persevere.
Future directions are also discussed in this study.

I. INTRODUCTION
Customarily, the undergraduate years are considered as a period of self-disclosure, investigation, and autonomy; however,
when college students marry, what happens to those values? Individuals ordinarily do not characterize marriage in
individual terms but rather think of it as an association in which every part gives up some of their autonomy (McQuillan
& Boyd, 2005). In today's times, an increase in early-age motherhood is rampant. However, it is good to note that most
early-age mothers are back in the academe or have never really left schooling amidst the struggles. Also, cases like early
marriages, but they opted to go back and continue achieving a degree. Student-mothers, as they are called, are now
common in society which is seen to experience struggles as they hurdle for their degrees.
College students are exposed to many family, financial, peers, and school environment problems. As he continued and
finally ended his courses enrolled in college, various stressors hampered the successful attainment of his primary and
secondary goals. Everyday stressors affect college students: intrapersonal, interpersonal, academic, and environmental
stressors (Bulo & Sanchez, 2014).
For more than ten (10) years in teaching, I heard different stories of mothers in the academe. Some stories were good, and
some were not. For instance, I encountered one time in my class "Sir, pwede na ko muuli ug una kay gikalintura akong
baby?" (Sir, can I go ahead, my baby has a fever?). This scenario made me think how difficult it was to become a mother
and as a student. Combining motherhood and learning without compromising either one's activities is a huge problem
(Behboodi, Ordibeheshti Khiaban, Esmaeili, & Salsali, 2017).

I believe that, while student mothers are very much responsible in their school activities, examinations, and other school
works, small programs must be taken into account for the support, especially to the low-income student mothers in the
academe and to those who single-handedly take care of their children. Generally, I have been teaching in the school for
several years, which has only made the issue more accessible to be observed and more important to discuss from my
position, as opposed to this scenario.
The different studies cited above and my experiences as a teacher and having students with unique and peculiar
characteristics prompted me to conduct this study. I wish to explore their experiences in pursuing a college education
despite motherhood responsibilities and discover the challenges they are facing and the commitment and resiliency they
employed to finish their course.
Purpose of the Study
The purpose of my study was to explore the discourses of the student-mothers in the academe impacting struggles, hopes,
and aspirations and their coping mechanism employed on the different pressures they faced. This study attempted to
collect the experiences on how they manage their schooling and motherhood status.
Research Questions
My study explored the experiences of Elementary and Secondary Education women students who have a child or have
children.
Specifically, the following questions were asked: (1) What are the struggles and journeys of student mothers? (2) What
are the hopes and aspirations of student mothers? and (3) What are the coping mechanisms of student-mothers of the
different pressures they face?
II. METHODS
Research Design
I used qualitative research and specifically employed a phenomenological approach in this study, where an extensive
construction process takes in the understanding and interpretation of individuals. As a qualitative researcher, I am
interested in understanding the meaning people have constructed: how people make sense of their surroundings and the
events that occur in their lives(Merriam, 2009).
Creswell (1998) defined phenomenology as “researchers look for basics, unchanging structure (or essence), or the
experience's central underlying meaning, emphasizing the intentionality of consciousness, which includes both the
outward appearance and internal consciousness based on memory, image, and meaning."
The phenomenological inquiry is particularly well-suited to address the meanings and perspectives of this study's research
participants as the primary concern of phenomenological analysis is to understand "how the everyday, inter-subjective
world is constituted" (Schwandt, 2000) from the participants' perspective.
Research Participants
The key informants of my study “Career Pathways: Discourses of Mothers in the Academe” were the seven (7) education
students who were officially enrolled at UM Penaplata College, the school year 2019-2020. The informants chosen are
regularly attending classes and were purposely selected.
Data Collection
This started with a request to the School Director of UM Peñaplata College that I might be allowed to conduct this study.
I used the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) in which, according to Krueger (2014), a focus group consists of 7-10 persons
who have never met before. These participants were selected because they have specific characteristics in common that
relate to the topic of the focus group. The moderator or interviewer created a permissive and nurturing environment that
encourages different perceptions and points of view without pressuring participants to vote, plan or reach consensus. The
group discussion was conducted several times with similar participants to identify trends and patterns in perceptions.
Careful and systematic analysis of the discussions provides clues and insights into how the group perceives a product,
service, or opportunity.

In gathering the information, I used a voice recorder during the discussion. The FGD lasted for one hour and thirty
minutes. I transcribed all recorded answers of the participants. The results were checked and analyzed by the data analyst.
Role of the Researcher
In this endeavor, I employed the Focus Group Discussion and acted as the interviewer. I also acted as the moderator, and I
assigned reliable assistants who served as encoders, recorders, and time managers. The information from the interview
and the FGD session, such as the key informants' shared experiences, opinions, and suggestions, were saved in a voice
recorder gadget and kept in the computer document. Further, I also portrayed being the transcriber after the interview.
Lastly, after the data analyst had given me the themes, I presented and interpreted the results.
Data Analysis
Following the Positioning Theoretical Analysis, the informants' responses were processed and conducted with a series of
analyses.
Transcripts were coded in considerable detail, with the focus shifting back and forth from the key claims of the
participants to my interpretation of the meaning of the responses. After which, the respondents' replies were clustered
according to themes. Emergent themes were analyzed and subjectively interpreted.
This study also utilized thematic content analysis to weed out biases and establish overarching data impressions. Rather
than approaching my data with a predetermined framework, identify common themes as I searched the materials
organically. My goal was to find common patterns across the data set (Canary, 2021).
Lastly, to check and establish the validity of my research, environmental triangulation was employed to identify which
environmental factor, if any, may influence the information I received during the study. As emphasized by Abdalla,
Oliveira, Azevedo, & Gonzales (2018), in this type of triangulation, data collection techniques are used under different
environmental circumstances, such as the time of day, day of the week, the season of the year, or temperature, among
other elements and variables that might influence the phenomenon under examination.
Ethical Considerations
I ensured that the key informants gave their informed consent before participating in the study. I also applied the
necessary and appropriate procedures in conducting the interviews to protect each research participant's privacy,
confidentiality, and anonymity. According to the study of Mertens (2018), researchers should adopt ethical guidelines
based on development for cross-cultural research when working with people. Furthermore, the American Psychological
Association (2017) suggests a few guidelines for working with individual participants; we need to respect them
individually, such as not stereotyping them and using their language and names for the non-discriminatory language.
Consent from the participants was accomplished before the Focus Group Discussion (FGD).
Trustworthiness
I am responsible for seeking out ideas from different authors concerning the trustworthiness of my study, qualitative
research. According to Burke and Christensen (2015), qualitative research is credible when it objectively interprets a
human experience with the same interpretation as the person who shares that experience. In addition, Mertens (1998) cited
that information is credible when it solely reflects the informant‟s viewpoint and research conditions. I am guided with the
following criteria for trustworthiness: credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability.
III. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
Struggles and Journey of Student Mothers
Time management. This theme flourished as participants have emphasized that due to several things to do as a student and
at the same time as a mother and a wife, they find it difficult to maximize their time which leads them to have problems in
school or at home. This was emphasized as they stated:
Time management kay layo man kay diba kaputian unya San Isidro pa jud amua unya padulong ug kuan sa
30 minutes unya kana pud time management unsaon nimo pag kuan. (Time management because our place,

As observed in the participants' responses, they take time management as a challenge as they hurdle school and family
together. Maximizing their time in taking care of their children and being a wife is way too difficult, especially when no
nanny or other family members could assist. Also, they mostly find themselves significantly challenged in giving
significant time to spend with schooling, bonding with children, and doing chores at home. Several studies (Astin, 1993;
Griffiths, 2002; Lidgard, 2004) cited that mothers pursuing higher education are also burdened by the financial strains of
paying for childcare in addition to regular living expenses and study-related costs (such as course fees, books, travel, and
so on). In addition, lack of time to spend with their children, their partners, their families and friends, and to complete
assignments and study has been identified as another significant difficulty for mothers (Bay, 1999; Cantwell and
Mulhearn, 1997; Edwards, 1993; Lidgard, 2004).
Financial concerns. This theme emerged as participants have explicitly shared that they encounter financial instability,
especially that aside from the tuition fee they need to pay, they also have other financial obligations. Also, they
dramatically expressed that they only get financial support from their husbands, whom they also consider as their primary
source of strength and encouragement.

a mother at the same time, it is very difficult especially during examination since you need to pay the

This result is in accordance with the study of Behlol and Ifran (2016) that the support for the education of married women
depends upon family attitude, educational status, financial stability, and husband viewpoint. Having people who
positively supported them in lifelong learning, including extended family members, friends, and partners, seems vital in
how well mothers cope with these experiences (Bay, 1999; Kantanis, 2002; Griffiths, 2002).
Negative Criticisms from People. It flourished as the participants recalled some experiences with people who learned
about their situation. The participants, being individuals living in urban areas, were not exempted from the people's
judgment around them. Specifically, they shared that even their relatives are the primary persons who doubted their
capabilities to achieve their dreams, given that they are student-mothers.
Muingon sila na nganong muskwela pa man ka na ingon ana na man imong edad? Nganong muskwela
pa man ka na dagko na man na imong mga anak.(People comment and ask why I went back to school,
my kids are all big enough.) RQ1 PQ1 P2
Naa pajud mga tao na muingon nga “unsa na diay ka nga year?” unya murag ma pressure ka lami kayo
ingnon na kamo daw skwelag education kung lalim ba. Unya dili raba jud siya lalim na nagskwela ka
naa na kay anak (Other people would ask, "What year are you?" Then it pressures me. Would even want
to tell them that schooling is not that easy as they think. Moreso, that I have a child.)RQ1 PQ1 P3
Motherhood responsibilities. This flourished as the dominantly felt struggle among the participants. With strong
emotions, one of the participants expressed how difficult it was for her to fulfill the duties of being a mother and at the
same time do her school works without a husband beside her. She expressed:
… nabuntis ko but wala gud siya pero ato na time pagkabuntis nako is nibalik na gud ko ug skwela diria
so mao to ang pinakadako na challenge na kanang murag Nawala ko gamay sa path nako para sa
college.(I got pregnant but my partner was not beside me. It was a great challenge on my part which
caused me to lose focus on my studies.) RQ1 MQ 1P1

Specifically, Participant 2 emphasized the following struggles she encountered as a student mother:
So mao to siya ahmm ang challenges ato kay kianhanglan jud nako maningkamot para sa akong mga
anak. Bisag unsa ka lisud, naa ng mga financial problem, naa ng family matters kung unsaon paglook
after sa mga kids although kinahanglan kayanon para makatungtong ka ug skwela para makapangita
kag nindot na trabaho. (So the challenges include the need for me to strive hard for my children. No
matter how hard it is, including financial problems, family matters first. It is very difficult but you need
to pursue schooling no matter what so you can end up with a good job in the future.) RQ1 P2
The experienced problems, as stated in the study of Kazemi, Ghaedrahmati, Kheirabadi, Ebrahimi, and Bahrami
(2018),included socioeconomic issues as well as pregnancy and delivery problems. Unfulfilled expectations. The
unfulfilled expectations formed conditions and reactions women expected during interactions with others, such as social
support and marital relationships. Further, psychological distress is women‟s reaction to pregnancy-related events and
relative interactions, including psychological reactions and inefficiency in playing roles and fulfilling responsibilities.
Health concerns also flourished as a theme from the challenges encountered by the student mothers. They shared that:
Akua kay kanang nabughat ko, kana jud. Usahay kanang sakit akong ulo kay kulang ko ug tulog maka
apekto jud na sa akua. Usahay muadto ko ug skwelahan unya wala ko sa akong kaugalingon. Unya
kanang hago na gud unya ipush jud nimo imong self ba. (For me, at times, when I am doing something, I
feel dizzy and my head aches due to lack of sleep. Sometimes I go to school without focus because I am
so tired already.) RQ1 PQ1 P7
Isa pud kay ang akuang health kay dali ra jud kayo ko ma kanang gung hina akuang immune system.
(One of my struggles is my health condition. I feel like my immune system is weak.)RQ1 P3
Most of them experience some postpartum illnesses like a severe headache which was pointed out by Ayoub (2014) to be
a normal health experience among mothers who just had a baby born. Also, the pressure from fulfilling their motherhood
duties is that the participants become very weary. This manifests how difficult their struggles are that they do not mind
nor listen to their bodies when they feel sick because they think of the other more important things that they need to attend
to.
The last theme on the challenges encountered is the intellectual challenges. The student mothers think that they are way
too old compared to the regular students or their classmates. Further, they also emphasize:
So ang mga challenges na akuang na kuanan pagskwela nako is kanang syempre dugay na ka naka
skwela ba unya nay mga lessons na kanang murag makalimot na ka. Unya mao to na ana si sir kanang
sa math sauna na nahuman na man ni nakalimot na ka. (So the challenges I encounter as I continue my
studies include difficulty in comprehending with the lessons especially that I have forgot most of the
lessons because I encountered them a long time ago.) RQ1P3
Basically sa academics kay murag mangapa ka kay murag back to zero ka ba. (Basically, as to my
academics, I struggle much as it feels like I am starting all over again.) RQ1 P4
These challenges reflect how the student-mothers hurdle is to be abreast with their lessons and connect with their young
classmates. Given as a struggle, this experience among the participants can further be explained by the proposition of
Lynch (2008) that combining motherhood and studying without compromising the activities of either one is a great
dilemma for student mothers. When a woman must focus on her studies, her behavior may contrast with her traditional
motherhood role.
Hopes and Aspirations of the Student Mothers
To complete their degree. This is the first identified theme for the hopes and aspirations of the participants. The student
mothers were very expressive of their gratitude towards their partners and parents. The participants are very determined to

finish their studies as they take their families as their motivation and very reason to complete their degrees. These are
evident in the following responses:
Nagahope man jud ta mahuman no unya gusto man jud nato na lisensyado gud ta. (I am hoping that I
could really become a registered teacher.) RQ3MQ3P6
Mamotivate nalang pud ta mahuman kay dili nalang man kita atong ginahunahuna kay ang atuang anak
ba. (I am motivated enough to finish my degree not just for myself but most especially for my child.)

The firm determination to succeed in school can further be supported by the idea of Bloom (2005) which emphasizes the
notion that self-determination and self-drive are all it takes to achieve our desires. No matter how difficult the process will
be, still in the end, you will reap the fruits of your sacrifices.
To land a job for a better life. This theme emerged as most of the participants really would want to give back to their
parents, all the sacrifices. Also, they are aspiring to live a better life with their growing families. They believe that they
can only make this into reality when they can land a job to help sustain their needs, especially financial needs. The
responses of the participants are as follows:
Unya dili lang man gud karon ang dapat hunahunaon dapat hunahunaon ang future nga nay maayong
trabaho. (We should not just think about today but most especially think about the future where we could
land a good job.) RQ3MQ3P2
Makatrabaho ug para pud ni makatabang ta sa atong mga ginikanan. (To work and to help the family
especially our parents) RQ3 MQ3 P3
The strong motivation of the participants to achieve their aspirations agrees with the Hawthorne Effect theory of
Landsberger (1958), which points out that, when one person has a stout determination to fulfill his/her desires, it will
serve as his/her drive to really work on it and later on achieve it.
To make the family proud. This is the last theme that emerged for the hopes and aspirations. When the participants shared
their thoughts on this, they were very emotional. It reminds the sacrifices of their parents and even their husbands, who
have been very supportive of their academic endeavors. This was evident in the following responses:
Ug kanang gusto pud gud ka maapil sa ikapahambog sa imong parents. (You have that desire to the pride
of your parents.) RQ3MQ3P6
Unya dapat pud as a wife mag aim jud ka ug degree para ma proud pud imong bana. (As a wife, one must
aim high so that the husband will be proud) RQ3MQ3P7
These serve as their motivation to really hurdle their education and achieve their degree to at least take pride in
accomplishing a degree even after married life.
Coping Mechanism of the Student Mothers
Coping mechanisms are the strategies people often use in the face of stress and/or trauma to help manage painful or
difficult emotions. Coping mechanisms can help people adjust to stressful events while assisting them in maintaining their
emotional well-being (Good Therapy, 2019). When the participants were asked about this, their responses resembled who
they consider as their support system. The following themes emerged: Strengthening family bonds, Self-motivation, and
support from family, friends, and teachers.
Strengthening family bond. These participants have also pointed out that they are lucky to know that their partners are also
very cool whenever they are down, for they would always bring smiles on their faces. Further, the presence of their
partners and the memories they make together with their children lighten up their mood, especially when the student-
mothers feel much burdened with a lot of works to do in school and even at home. That is why; having a family to bond
and make memories with is beneficial for them to cope with their struggles.

Self-Motivation. Two of the participants expressed their strong motivation to really encourage themselves to continue no
matter what. They said:
Sa akua kay akong mga gusto jud nako sa kinabuhi. Ako man gud ang tao na mag plan ahead ko ba.
Kanang naa koy goal sa kinabuhi. (For me, my desires in life, I plan ahead especially with my goals in
life.) RQ2 MQ1 P2
Akua pud kay akoa lang ingun akoa sarili na go lang unya naa man jud koy habit na magbasa jud ko ug
libro. (I just remind myself to push forward. Also, I am fond of reading.) RQ2 MQ1
In view thereof, the idea of Good Therapy (2019) about coping mechanisms is indeed accurate. Psychological stress can
be caused by significant life experiences, whether positive or unpleasant. Divorce, miscarriage, the death of a loved one,
or the loss of a career are all difficult occurrences that can bring grief or distress in most people. Even events that many
people regard to be positive, such as getting married, having a kid, and purchasing a home, can cause tremendous stress.
Support from family, friends, and teachers. In this theme, the participants were also very emotional in sharing how lucky
they are that they have very supportive family members and considerate teachers and friends who lend a hand in different
ways. The participants shared that:
Ang akuang bana kay grabe jud siya ka supportive. Unya ang akong anak pud kanang taas gud kaayo ka
ug pangarap sa iya as ginikanan. (My husband is very supportive. Then as a parent, I have lots of dreams
for my child.) RQ2 MQ1 P1
Pero thankful ko kay supportive kayo si Mama. Although at first naay disappointment pero pagbalik nako
ug eskwela kay nalipay sila. So gimanange nako siya pina agi sa tabang sa akong family. (But, I am so
thankful for my mother is very supportive even it there were disappointments, still they helped me and
they were even happy that I decide to continue my education. I was able to manage through the help of
my family.)RQ2 MQ 1 P1
The participants have also reiterated how thankful they are that teachers are also very considerate to them in school. They
appreciate it significantly because, without their imparted knowledge, it would have been more difficult for them to cope
with their school lessons whenever the student mothers are absent due to motherhood responsibilities.
IV. FINDINGS AND IMPLICATIONS
Findings
On the first question about the struggles and journey of student mothers, six (6) themes flourished, namely: time
management, financial concerns, and negative criticisms from people, motherhood responsibilities, health concerns, and
intellectual challenges.
The second question focuses on the hopes and aspirations of student mothers. Three (3) themes emerged, specifically: to
complete their degree, land a job for a better life, and make the family proud.
The third question centered on student mothers' coping mechanisms, three (3) themes flourished: strengthening family
bond, self-motivation, and support from family, friends, and teachers.
It can be pointed out that the experiences of the student-mothers were explained by Bronfenbrenner‟s Ecological Systems
Theory (1992) which is divided into five different systems: microsystem, mesosystem, exosystem, macrosystem, and
chronosystem. In particular, family, friends, and teachers emerged to support the student-mothers. These people have
direct contact with the student-mothers in their immediate environment, which falls under the microsystem level.
Implications
The shared experiences of the student-mothers in this paper are only just a few of the real-life scenarios that transpired in
their continuous quest to achieve their aspirations. The family members, being the sources of strength of the student-
mothers, are also sometimes the source of stress. Yet, as emphasized by the participants, they are also the people who are

always there through thick and thin. The student-mothers are very hopeful that they will really savor victory in time. As
they look forward to the day they will graduate, they promise themselves that their aspirations of achieving a better life
will really become a reality. The trials that they are facing right now are mere spices to what they call the life of a student-
mother. That being said, positivism is dominantly felt by all of the participants.
The success of student mothers shall shed light on the dark imaginings of those who think negatively about them.
Specifically, the result of this study may pave the way to encourage other mothers to continue their incomplete education
even if they already have children or families of their own. To mention, in UM Peñaplata College, several students
conceive babies while they are still studying; thus, this study will give them the motivation to push and work harder for
still, victory await for those who sacrifice and persevere.
In the field of education, the results of this study may contribute to producing hardworking teachers because their
experiences may serve as their vital source of motivation to give their best in the field of their practice as soon-to-be
educators.
Future Directions
The school administration and faculty should be more vigilant in formulating and revising current school policies for the
unwed or married students to accommodate them at their convenient time.
The students should aspire higher in life and become motivated to continue their studies despite challenges in life.
The research institutions should consider the issues and concerns associated with student-mothers to be part of the vital
area for research and related endeavors as this may help improve the research agenda of different research institutions.
