Career Goal Essays
Crafting an essay on the subject of "Career Goal Essays" can prove to be a challenging endeavor,
as it requires a delicate balance of introspection, research, and effective communication. The
difficulty arises from the need to not only articulate one's career aspirations but also to weave a
narrative that is both compelling and authentic.
To begin with, delving into the realm of self-reflection can be a daunting task. One must sift
through personal experiences, skills, and passions to distill a coherent vision for the future. This
introspective journey demands a level of honesty and self-awareness that can be uncomfortable,
as individuals may need to confront their strengths, weaknesses, and the motivations behind
their career goals.
Furthermore, the essay should transcend mere self-analysis and incorporate relevant research.
This involves gaining insights into the chosen field or industry, understanding current trends, and
aligning personal goals with the broader context. Integrating this research seamlessly into the
essay while maintaining a personal touch can be challenging, requiring a fine balance between
empirical data and individual narrative.
Effective communication is another stumbling block in the process. Conveying one's aspirations
in a clear, concise, and engaging manner demands a mastery of language. The writer must
navigate the fine line between showcasing ambition and realism, avoiding clichГ©s and generic
statements that may dilute the impact of the essay.
Additionally, tailoring the essay to a specific audience, such as potential employers or academic
institutions, adds another layer of complexity. Adapting the content to align with the
expectations and values of the target audience requires a nuanced approach, as the same essay
may not resonate equally with different readers.
In conclusion, writing an essay on career goals is a multifaceted task that involves introspection,
research, and effective communication. It demands a delicate balance between personal
reflection and objective analysis, as well as a keen understanding of the intended audience.
While challenging, the process offers an opportunity for self-discovery and growth, paving the
way for a clearer and more defined path toward future aspirations.

Samsung versus Apple Smartphones
Compare Contrast Essay Samsung Compare and Contrast Are you a teenager? If
so, then that must mean that you possess a phone, possibly a smart phone. Within
this generation, the top smartphone manufactures are Apple and Samsung.
However, Apple has had the edge for a while, but ever since the release of the
Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Samsung has soared to the
top. I personally admire Samsung over Apple because I own a Samsung Galaxy
S4. Teenagers who favor Samsung over Apple are going to have to decide on
either the Galaxy S4 or the Note 3. A majority of the people believe that the Note 3
is more so than the Galaxy S4, but they have a great deal in common. I assume that
the design of the phone is the fundamental component that will draw the consumer
s attention. The Galaxy S4 s dimensions are 5.38 x 2.75 x .31 inches. The S4
materializes in four different colors: black, white, brown, blue, red purple pink,
and light pink. From a glimpse, you will notice that it is covered in plastic, which
is actually polycarbonate chassis, it incorporates a removable rear cover, and that
there is a silver trim that goes around the sides. On the front, there is a 2 megapixel
front facing camera and LED notification lights. On the back, there is a 13
megapixel camera, LED flash, and speakers. The Note 3 s dimensions are 5.95 x 2.75
x .33 inches. The Note 3 is obviously larger than the S4, and from a glance, the Note
3 looks outwardly different. The Note 3 was
Synopsis Of The Giver
1. As you can see, the book and the movie are similar in a way but very different.
Asher s character is very different by strictness to carefree . In the book it states that
Asher has a carefree personality than in the movie. In the book Jonas is concerned
for Asher s assignment, because he makes a game out of everything . Also in the
bookit says that Asher ran through the standard apology phrase rapidly . So we all
know that in the book Asher was very lazy, carefree and trouble. He didn t care
what he did. Although in the movie when Jonas was showing Fiona an example of
sledding, by sledding on a lunch tray, Asher hesitated. Jonas asked Why are you
chicken and Asher said no and ran away. Looks like he was scared of breaking the
rules. His personality affects the conflict of him ditching his best friend, and makes
sure he doesn t get out of the community boundary. He was helping the chief elder
defeat Jonas. In the book, to escape with Gabriel to go to elsewhere was stressful .
Even in the book it shows that Jonas committed two crimes to retreat from the
community. One is he robbed food from the community of food that he has taken
leftovers and stealing his dad s bike with a baby... Show more content on

The book and the movie of the giver have many parts that are identical. At the end
of the movie and book both have the same lines and settings. Which means the
movies does have the same cliffhanger as the book. But to my perspective I think
the movie ends with elsewhere. The book did states and ended with Jonas coming
in and out of consciousness, so it may think that he is dying. But in the movie it s
visualized for you, then it looks like he is definitely out of the community and
some where else. In the movie it showed a little house that is the same house of the
memory the giver game to him. In the middle of a wintry woods. In visuals it looks
like Gabriel and Jonas lived but now found a place to stay with memories, lights and
music. But maybe he thought it was an

The drafters of the Indian constitution visualized that a major chunk of population,
because of living in remote areas, might remain devoid of benefits that would be
available to other citizens of free India. To neutralize this handicap they introduced
reservations in education and

employment. In their opinion, this approach was easier than extending the reach of
the facilities to remote locations. And they believed that in due course of time the
backward classes would be propped up to a level that equals the others.
Some strange reawakening prompted the Janta Party government under Bharat Ratna
Morarji
Desai to enlarge the span of reservations. Mandal commission was established in
India in 1979 with a mandate to identify the socially or educationally backward, based
on additional parameters. The commission brought in 11 socio economic and
educational indicators to determine backwardness and introduced the term Other

commission s report of 1980 recommended that for accommodating the
Examples Of Bias In To Kill A Mockingbird
Bias is defined as prejudice in favor of or against one thing, person, or group
compared with another, usually in a way considered to be unfair . Each and
everyone of us have a bias perspective towards one thing or another whether we are
brave enough to admit or not. A person becomes bias through personal experiences
or things they have read or heard. My brother and I used to play mario kart together
and he would refuse to play unless he had the character Wario because he thought
Wario was the only good character. This was an example of him being biased against
the other characters in the game. I find myself being extremely biastowards movies I
watch. I love Nicholas Sparks movies and I often find myself refusing to open my
mind to other romance movies not written by him. These examples of bias are
harmless but when there is bias in a court of law, the world of science or in any way
hurtful to others, is when bias becomes a real problem and damages people.... Show

Examples Of Logical Opposition
V.Logical Opposition (Square of Opposition) Opposition is the relation existing
between propositions having the same subject and predicate but different quality or
quantity or both. There are four types of opposition: contradiction, contrariety, sub
contrariety, and sub alternation. While quality and quantity are absolute properties of
proposition, logical opposition is considered as a relative property of proposition
because opposition happens only when we relate two propositions with the same
subject and predicate. Types of Opposition A. Contradiction Contradiction is the

Analysis Of An Inspector Calls By Mendoza Okara...
It is fair to say that, Mendoza utilises Onofre Bouvila as a character to be portrayed
as a direct parallel to the development and aspirations of Barcelona. This is
expressed in the novel, since; it is irrelevant how rich and powerful Onofre
becomes, he will never be accepted by the social elite. This is due to the fact that, he
can never be on the top rung of the social ladder literally and figuratively, due to his
impoverished upbringing and working class background. corriГі hacia la mesa

de los prodigios page 328). These same men who asked for his money do not allow
Onofre to sit at the same table with the Russian aristocrat because he does not have
a noble lineage 4 (Karen Oswald pg. 54). This shows us that in this scene, Onofre
aspires to sit on the top table with the Czarina. Nevertheless, even though he is
incredibly powerful and considered to be the richest man in Spain, due to his deprived
childhood and lower class background, he will never be able to sit on that top table.
Consequently, Onofre will never reach the upper echelons of Barcelonas social elite.
Therefore, it could be argued that Onofre is a metaphor for Barcelona given the fact

Essay On African Slave Trade
The Age of Exploration was an era that impacted us globally and shaped our world
into what it is today. Resources such as spices, rum, guns and crops were used as a
means to further develop a nation and to gain power over other underdeveloped
nations. However, the Atlantic Slave Trade was used as the main resource to gain
power in Europe.
Although the African Slave Tradewas perhaps the most difficult thing a slave could
go through, importing slaves to Europe was a big benefit to Europe itself along with
slave owners. During the Middle Passage an average of about nearly 12.5 million
enslaved Africans were transported from Africato the Americas between 1500 and
1866, and had to withstand conditions that could kill a person instantly. This,
however benefitted slave owners directly as the slaves who did manage to make the
trip in somewhat healthy conditions, were immediately sold and set to work at a
plantation and about An average of 80 percent of these enslaved Africans men,
women, and children were employed, mostly as field workers. Plantations ... Show

In other words, the reason for the purpose of slavery is simply greed. English men
saw a way to profit their pockets without having to do any work themselves. The
work that the slaves did was tiring, and ultimately unfair. Slaves were expected to
work at plantations and some were even expected to do sewing. Fannie Moore held
a candle for light so her mother could sew quilts at night. Slave owners had to do
little to no work to be able to allow their country to progress. They dehumanized
and mistreated human beings for their own benefit. Some slaves were even rented
out to other families so they could cook, clean and care for their children. A former
slave in Nashville said she was required to cook, chop in the fields, chop wood, bring
water, wash, and iron. She was six years old at the
Case Study Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy
Hey there Zach! I remember replying to a few of your posts last semester. Did you
know Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy affects more boys than girls? Expect them
to be in a wheel chair at around during their early teens. It is also know that it takes
longer for them to start walking, which means they barely walk during their lives.
They even have a hard time raising their arms and fall often if they were walking.
They might struggle to climb up the stairs or it may not even be worth the trouble.
The worst case scenario is Cardiopathy because DMD causes damage to the heart. To
further elaborate, the lacking of dystrophin results to weakening of the muscle layer
in the heart which is called myocardium. This situation could indeed threaten their
life. DMD has also affected the way they learn verbally and they even have a hard
time focusing. In addition, they will struggle to recall memories and could interact
emotionally different than most people (MDA For Strength, Independence Life,
2016). I d choose adoption if I could have avoided this devastating syndrome. I would
also suggest prenatal diagnosis.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It got a lot of heat from critics because it s difficult to act like you have DMD,
which they believed the actor fairly portrayed the role. However, I thought it was
well done and I give the actor props for trying. The reason why I point out movies
is because not a lot of people research about topic s like this. Movies may increase
their awareness and curiosity that could result to them researching and educating
themselves. I will also post a small documentary in the references. It is posted on

Smokers Vs. Expensive Cigars
Many people consider the aroma of a lighted cigar to be a welcome scent, unlike
the stench of many of the cigarettes on the market. There will be some variation
between the expensive cigars and the less costly ones, however, that does not
necessarily mean that it won t be appreciated. Cigars are not for everyone but those
who choose to burn a cigar have very specific reasons for doing so. Most cigar
smokers will tell you that there is a particular art to burning a cigar and if it is not
followed they might be inclined to say something about it to the inexperienced
smoker.
The way it wasIn a world where smoking cigarettes seem to be gradually becoming
a thing of the past it is interesting to note that cigars are still very popular. Some
smokers consider the cigar as part of a tradition that has been handed down through
the years by family members. These smokers will agree that they continue the
tradition as a way to relax and unwind. There are times when they will look for
expensive cigars just to say they had the best. Some of these cigar smokers admit that
they consider smoking cigars to be a hobby for them. ... Show more content on

When I am working in a group I liven the atmosphere and can motivate others to do
the best they can. For example on my trip to Iqaluit in 2014 with my choir (OCC), I
was able to work with children from three schools and teach them how to properly
sing. I was appointed team leader for this project. Another example of my
collaboration skills could be seen in my work as an apprenticeship student in a
Musical Theatre March break camp. My role as a leader was to guide the other
kids in activities and creating a show with sections of plays, turning it all into a
skit performance that we did for the parents at the end of the week. This year I will
be going back to that same camp as Senior apprenticeship student. My integrity is
shown in my ability to stand for what I believe in and speaking for what is right.
This trait can make me stubborn sometimes. I also endeavour to have a positive
attitude and outlook on life. I have close, meaningful and usually lasting
relationships with people and I am very easily excited. An example of this is when
one of my best friends had me guess a gift she was giving, and to throw me off,
suggested it was a toaster. I got super excited, but it wasn t actually a toaster, so she
was a little peeved from my reaction. I also maintain PI s, which stands for Positivity

Dune Essay
Dune
This book all started with the family Atreides landing on plant Arrakis, commonly
known as Dune. The planet Dune was the centre of the universe due to its immense
amounts of spice. This spice is greatly needed for all planets as fuel and for raw
materials. The family Atreides were asked by Emperor himself to go and mine the
spice on the planet. Their greatest enemy the Harkonnen s, were also on Dune. These
two families mining the precious spice on the same plant would lead to great troubles
and wars.
Soon after that, I was introduced to a very brave and insightful young man. The
young man is Paul Atreides. Paul is medium height with short, black hair. His mother

They taught Paul much about fighting and protecting himself from his enemies.
These men along with Paul s mother and father helped prepare him for the coming
hardships ahead. A group of people named the Fremen also were presented. They
were people who lived in the desert within the forbidden zone. The forbidden zone
was where no one would ever travel. It was said that there are huge masses of
Fremen there along with giant sandworms reaching a length of four hundred and
fifty meters. The Fremen harvested spice, lived in the cities and in underground
cities. Their eyes were bright blue on blue due to the saturation of the spice which
changed their colour. The beginning of this book was very interesting and told me
much about each characters background and personality. I knew there was
something special about Paul and his mother right from the start just by how the
author described them. The family Atreides was very strong and even feared by the
Emperor himself because he knew that Paul was the prophet who was destined to
stop all violence, hunger, spice mining, armies and fighting. He was to bring a new
era along with his leadership. This frightened the Emperor that forced him to act
against the
Atreides family.
The Harkonnen s seemed a bit too uninteresting and average to me. They were evil
and hated all that was good. The author should of added a bit more spice to their
characters. This would of made the story

Hair loss symptoms vary in men and women. While women suffer scattered hair loss
with front hairline remaining intact, men experience receding hairline that leads to
male pattern baldness(MPB). A patient should be made acquainted with some vital
things of hair transplant solution if he or she is contemplating to undergo it.
Know the actual surgical procedure:
The actual process of this hair loss solution involves extraction of hair situated at the
rear side of the scalp and relocating it to the bald area. The hair at the back of the
scalp is considered to be DHT resilient. The success of the treatment depends on the
laxity of the scalp, the density of the hair, quality of the hairs on the donor site etc.
Laxity of the scalp refers how slack or firm the scalp is. It is found that hair removal
is simple on a loose or slack scalp rather than the tight ones as they are flexible.
Hair density refers to how thick the hair is and the amount of hair follicles that grows

eye.
Costs differ with every hair transplant surgery:
Costs of this hair loss treatment depend on the amount of grafts required for a
specific individual as well as number of medical sessions taking place between a
doctor and a patient. Generally the cost of each graft is around $3 to $8.
Considering it is a permanent method of hair restoration it is always a worth idea to
invest on it.
To conclude, if you become familiar with different aspects of hair transplant there is

that are present throughout the novel. The poor class, including the peasants of Tres

class, which is the wealthy aristocratic class. The wealthy division of the novel shows

This attitude that the wealthy class has for those in the book ignites the resentment
felt by the poor class that resounds in the rest of the story. The inequality that is
present between these two classes is unbelievable throughout the book that even
parts of the wealthy class begin to realize the damage that their right wing
government has caused to the lower division of Chile. Even Esteban Trueba s
immediate family senses the problems that the poor face. [Clara] now took Blanca
with her on her visits to the poor, weighed down with gifts and comfort. This is to

poor. They don t need charity, they need justice (136). Because of this unequal
treatment of the classes and the resentment that the poor held for the wealthy, the two
classes could not continue to co exist. The incessant struggle that the lower class
faced when the wealthy controlled everything forced them to begin a revolution so
that they can finally take control of their own lives instead of living to please the
wealthy. Throughout the novel, the wealthy controlled every part of the country s
government and therefore, they controlled the country as a whole until the day that
Esteban Trueba lost the election and the socialist party came to power. This is when
the poor finally ceased to be dominated by the wealthy. They lit torches, and the

Sikhism and Sikhs are. Although Sikhism is the youngest religion in the world,

actual individuals, Sikhs, who continue to value their cultural practices. The most
interesting aspect of the religionis the adherence to the requirements of the Guru

Furthermore, the children feel like they are nobodies because of their segregation
from the rest of society. It s skin colour and it s being poor. This is something more

are segregated nobodies. The segregation and hatred changes the personalities of the
children. In order for the children to remain rational while growing up, they look to
their faith.
Most children have witnessed so much injustices that they can only turn to religion
as a source of comfort and strength to live on. Even racial segregation is present in
the churches where people pray for better times. The children pray for the safety of
their loved ones and hope that they will live in heaven after death. They believe that
God is out there to hear their prayers. God hears. He sit up high and look low, even
here. (Kozol, 203) This statement reveals that even though the rest of society may
not hear the desperate cries of the people living in the Bronx, but God does. Therefore
the people still have hope and struggle to survive. Adolescents think about heaven
because death occurs frequently in the Bronx. Everyday the children pray for their
protection and well being. God bless Mommy. God bless Nanny. God, don t

guys. That was an opportunity where we could have had two points and not
possibly leave it to the last game. So I needed to go out there and play my heart out
for the rest of the season.
Simmonds turned the aforementioned blunder into motivation by recording seven
goals and three assists over his last nine games of the season He did not play in
Sunday s regular season finale against the New York Islanders. His best statistical
game during the stretch was on April 2 against the Ottawa Senators when he notched
two goals and an assist.
Simmonds reached the 30 goal mark for the first time in his career on April 7 against
the NHL worst Toronto Maple Leafswhen he tipped home a shot by Mark Streit
with 58 seconds remaining to salvage a key point for the Flyers. In 81 games this
season, Simmonds had a team leading 32 goals and 28
Transition From Childhood To Adulthood Analysis
The transition from childhood to adulthood, for me, took place at an early state. At
the young age of nine years old I began to learn what it took to be my own person.
As I was growing up, I had taught myself to believe that a hectic household of
constant yelling was the norm. My mother had met my stepfather before anyone
had brought up the word divorce . She had a child with this man while still being
married to my father. I didn t find out who s child this was until months after he had
been born. Who is going to break that news to a nine year old boy? From my
experience, I believe I learned so many lessons on growing up. The lessons that have
truly stuck with me though are independence, being less judgmental, and motivation.
I learned that if you want to be successful in life, you are going to have to be self
efficient. Going in between houses constantly taught me that if you want something
you are going to have to do it by yourself one way or the other. With everything
being separated, I would have to make plans accordingly. Such as if there was
something I needed to or wanted to wear, I had to find out where it would be and if
it had been cleaned. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By their example, I learned that no matter the circumstances, you have no idea what
type of background someone may have. You should always treat them accordingly.
Never be quick to judge anyone until you have learned their story, and who the truly
are. Had I not listened to them, I would blame plenty of stuff on my mother. They
have shown me by forgiving my mother for her fault that you always need to be
accepting of others and the lifestyle they lead. Always forgive and forget or else you
will get nowhere in this
On the Bank of the Seine Bennecourt Formal Analysis

A Beautiful Day on the River Seine

Art 1.2
Section 4136
On the Bank of the Seine, Bennecourt by the French painter Claude Monet is one of
the few great paintings that truly embody Impressionism. On the Bank of the Seine,
Bennecourt was painted in 1868 on the Seine River in the Northwestern Portion of
France. Created with oil on canvas and standing at thirty two inches tall by thirty
nine and two thirds inches wide, this painting depicts Monet s future wife, Camille
Doncieux, gazing across the Seine River at a village not too far off in the distance.
The ability this painting has to capture the eye is amazing and unique, and allows you
to fully appreciate the Impressionist Art Movement.
In this piece, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The artist creates color harmonies and contrasts throughout the whole peace which
gives it a strange balance overall.
The texture of the painting itself is probably rough. The artist makes no great attempt
at conveying implied texture to the viewer. It seems as though implying texture may
detract from the overall attitude of the piece. Altogether texture doesn t play a huge
role in this work of art.
Claude Monet s use of the illusionary space in this image is actually quite amazing.
At first glance, your eye is drawn towards the left side of the painting, due to the
amount of large and bulky objects in the foreground. Suddenly though your eyes
turn to Camille; the woman gazing into the distance. As she stares off into the
distance she acts a point to redirect the focus of the piece past the water and into
the village across the river. This painting has a surprising power in that it is ability
to fully mesmerize and captivate the viewer in a way few pieces of art can.
The use of line in this piece is also very interesting. The artist employs a high
horizontal line to create a plunging effect giving the piece more depth. Another use
of lines in the image is to create focal points to attract the viewer. Lines are also used
to separate the different sections of the painting. Overall this painting uses lines in
dynamic ways that vastly enhance the viewers pleasure and admiration of the piece.
marco polo Essay
Marco Polo
Marco Polo was born in c.1254 in Venice. He was a Venetian explorer and merchant
whose account of his travels in Asia was the primary source for the European
image of the Far East until the late 19th century. Marco s father, Niccolo, and his
uncle Maffeo had traveled to China in 1260 1269 as merchants. Despite Marco s
enduring fame very little was known about the personal life of Marco Polo. It is
known that he was born into a leading Venetian family of merchants. He also lived
during a propitious time in world history, when the height of Venice s as a city state
coincided with the greatest extent of Mongol conquest of Asia. (http:/

Marco and his party encountered such hazards as wild beasts and brigands. They
also met with beautiful women, in whom young Marco took a special interest.
Under the Khan s protection the Polo s were able to observe a large portion of the
Islamic world at close range. By the time they reached the Khan s court in Khanbalik,
Marco had become a hardened traveler. He had also received a unique education and
had been initiated into manhood.
Kublai Khan greeted the Polo s warmly and invited them to stay in his court. The
Polo s became great favorites of the Khan, and Kublai eventually made Marco one
of his most trusted emissaries. On these points Marco has been accused of gross
exaggeration, and the actual status of the Polo s at the court of Khan s is much
disputed. For political reasons the Khan was in the habit of appointing foreigners to
administer conquered lands, particularly China, where the tenacity of the Chinese
bureaucracy was legendary. The Khan could also observe for himself that young
Marco was a good Candidate. Finally, Marco reported back so successfully from his
first mission, informing the Khan not only on business details but also on colorful
customs and other interesting trivia. (Marco Polo in China)

The Need For Loss Of Weight Essay
The need for loss of weight is a very common issue in the world today. Losing
weight is usually a goal made on New Years and forgotten after that time. The truth
is that you will have to make many changes to lose weight and keep it off. The 10
day diets only are temporary and most of them take nutrients and other important
components from your body that cannot be replenished. Your first goal when
trying to lose weight is to make a plan and stick to it. This includes changing your
diet and exercise. A diet may not mean starving yourself, but it does require self
control. In this era, where fast food rules, you must have discipline and chose
meals that are healthy and eat smaller portions. You must eat at specific times and
not eat late at night or right before you go to bed. If you eat and then sleep, there is
no time to burn the calories that you just ate. Eat smaller meals. It may take some
research to find out what meals are for you, but you can find a program that will
work for you. The second and just as important part of losing weight is exercise.
Most individuals who go on a crash diet forget one thing. You can lose all the
weight you want, but without a consistent exercise program, you will gain it back.
Exercise can be as little as walking for 30 minutes every day up to a 2 hour workout
with a physical trainer. This will help your health and make you feel better about
yourself. It will tone your body and help your heart and lungs. And without exercise
that you
Portrayal Of Female Characters Of Hayao Miyazaki s Films
The Portrayal of Female Characters in Hayao Miyazaki s Films
By Muhammad Aiman Mohd Zin
I remembered the first time I was introduced to one of Miyazaki s most prominent
animation film, Spirited Away (2001). The film absolutely captured the essence of
what a fantasy world should be. I was mesmerized by the characters, the style, the
animation movement and the whole entire world. It was as if the world probably
existed somewhere, hidden from the reality we live in. I was hooked with
Miyazaki s work since then. The influences of Miyazaki s work has driven me to
follow my dream as an animator. I realized that the reason why I love most of
Miyazaki s work is because of his in depth characters development. He managed to
give life to the characters he created hence, making the viewer more connected with
the story he directed. For my thesis, I will analyze how Miyazaki portrays female
characters in his movies. The female character that I would analyze are from
Miyazaki s film entitled Princess Mononoke (1997), Spirited Away(2001) and
Laputa: Castle in the Sky (1986).
Princess Mononoke was one of the highest grossing film in Japan during the year it
was released in 1997. The film is about a warrior named Ashitaka, who sets on a
journey to find balance and peace between the struggle of the forest God and the
human greed who consume its resources. As much as I d like to elaborate more on
Ashitaka s character, I found myself more compelled with the portrayal of Lady

Acupuncture utilizes herbal remedies and acupuncture services to heal patients.
As popular and effective as acupuncture is, there are still many people who doubt the

One of the most common myths about acupuncture is that it is painful. The only
feeling most patients report is that there is a dull ache when the needle is inserted. In
fact, acupuncture needles are extremely thin and most people sleep through the
treatment.
Another common myth is that acupuncture isn t a legitimate health practice. Many

The Unexamined Life Is Not Worth Living
b) The unexamined life is not worth living , quoted Socrates. It appears that,
following his brilliant logic, the key to living philosophically is exactly how one
interprets and scrutinizes their own life in a philosophical context. As with the
nature of philosophy itself, living philosophically is also ambiguous, and it could
very well be that one lives philosophically even if they do not necessarily realize it.
Take, for instance, a person who questions why humans and all life forms must die;
or one who ponders their true meaning in life are they not thinking philosophically?
Regardless of whether or not they actually study philosophy, they are still critically
thinking about the nature of being and existence in an interpretive, between the
lines way. If they genuinely reach a conclusion about these topics, they can expand
upon them by applying them towards real world scenarios in effect, they would
truly live philosophically every day. One may argue that individuals need not
actively think about philosophical themes, but rather, perform and apply those ideas
subconsciously into their lives. It thus should be valid that a person who is being in
the world , living around an intensely dedicated focal practice in a hobby or
profession, lives philosophically as well. In this case, their entire self, style, and
genuine, original being, is imprinted upon their particular art or craft. They do not
merely mold themselves into their work, but they essentially become
Historical Analysis Of Of Beowulf s Poem, Beowulf, Sir...
The study of British literature is an incredible journey that begins with battles
against Anglo Saxon monsters and takes us on a journey to a time where writers
try to tackle modern problems. Along the way we come across characters such as
Beowulf, Sir Gawain, King Arthur and other legends who remain a vital part of
popular culture. History offers us a variety of heroes and legends that we can read
and learn about. The historical poem of Beowulf not only reveals to us the
importance cultural values of the warrior society, but also the importance of
literature. The warrior culture at this time reflects the values of the society of the
6th century. There are a couple of key features of Beowulf s characterization that
reflect what was important in Anglo Saxon society. For example. Beowulf comes
across as arrogant and bigheaded, but Anglo Saxon society valued the daring and
confident young man who was proud of his actions and could use his past
experiences and journeys to motivate himself toward future success. Our modern
world leans towards modesty rather than arrogance. Anglo Saxon society also
believed in a concept of revenge that resulted in a vicious cycle. If someone killed
one of your men, you were obligated to avenge their death, but then that group
could come back and avenge that death and so on. This is shown in Beowulf by the
killing of Grendel and then Grendel s mother seeking revenge. The only reason this
cycle was broken is because there wasn t anyone else to
Analysis Of Allen Ginsberg s Howl And
Allen Ginsberg was one of the greatest admired Beat Generation poets, who
particularly used free flowing, aggressive and occasionally a discourteous style of
language to show that the rule and social structure over heterosexuality can be filled
with opposition, so he decided to release queerness. Ginsberg strongly disputed
capitalism and conformity that notably consisted of sexual repression, so he
incorporated in the development of counterculture and challenged the
heteronormative, procreation driven society and was done with living at society s
limits. The idea of beat literature has a capricious form, although, also considers the
customary narration techniques, and indeed masculinist and heterosexist prospects.
The Beat generation indicates an individual that has been put down, or has been
oppressed around with deviated norms. Therefore, this impression of queerness is a
representation of him being an activist in society and used to take action to encourage
his differences, which contributes to strange and prohibited behaviours. In this essay,
being central to vicious and pleased queer performative spaces in the city and
embodying sexuality, it will examine Allen s, Howl and Sunflower Sutra ,
interpreting queer theory, and that it is essential to ideas of genderand sexuality that
are necessary for radical solidarity, Allen being a gay activist his principles of his
character seem unreasonable or destructive in contemporary political circumstances

What Is The Long Truman Doctrine
Harry S. Truman once declared, It must be the policy of the United States to support
free peoples who are resisting attempted subjugation by armed minorities or by
outside pressures. (Truman Doctrine, ourdocuments.gov) This quote was given by
President Truman in a speech directed to Congress in hopes that they would aid his
mission and goal. This doctrine, or principle, that was expressed by President Harry
S. Truman in 1947, was called the Truman Doctrine. President Truman s stance was
that the United States must involve itself in foreign affairs in an effort to prevent
communism from spreading. He feared that the expansion of communism would

George Kennan, the U.S. ambassador in Moscow sent what is known as the Long

expand their territory and communism. His concern was that the likelihood of peace
between capitalist and communism could not exist. This telegram along with the
warning from Britain that they could no longer afford to keep resisting communist
forces in Europe, became the influence for Truman in proposing his doctrine. The
main goal of the Truman Doctrine was to provide economical and military assistance
to countries such as Turkey and Greece, because these two countries were threatened
by communism. It was also created to stop the spread of the Soviet government
system throughout the world, during the Cold War. In his speech, Truman had asked
Congress to give approximately four hundred million dollars in funding to provide
not only financial backing but military support as well. (Uschan, 101) Many

Online Gaming And Its Impact On Social Psychology
Through the formation and participation of major professional online game
competitions to more leisure forms of gaming entertainment such as popular
YouTube channels, online gaming is continually growing from a form of hobby
and quickly becoming a mainstream form of lifestyle. The idea of friendships
initiating solely online, and growing into complex relationships that readily
provide and accept social support, has become a vibrant social experience. Video
game genres such as MMO s (Massively Multiplayer Online), which could be
subcategorized into genre s such as MMORPGs (MMO Role Playing Games) or
MOBAs (Massive Online Battle Areas), aggressively inspire interaction and
communication between gamers. Popular MMORPG s such as World of Warcraft
offer involving storytelling and large scale boss fights that require large amounts of
teamwork and cooperation to succeed. These features strongly motivate
communication and collaboration, which in turn possibly begin the development of
acquaintanceship between players. The aspects of online relationships have only
just begun to develop as a field of study in social psychology. More extreme aspects
of online interaction and conduct have been studied in the past. Topics range from
cyber bullying (Thacker, 2012), to online romances (Huyhn, 2013), even sexual and
gender identity (Martey, 2014). The topic suggested here is more concentrated on
social and emotional support, more precisely: Does the anonymity of being online

Hester as an Imperfect Heroine
The Scarlet Letter, a story of Hester Prynne and her paramour, Reverend Dimmesdale,
and her malicious husband in pursuit for revenge, Roger Chillingworth. The novel
begins in the Puritan society in Boston, Massachusetts, during the 1640 s. The town
first ostracizes Hester because of their strong religious beliefs. Hester is then faced
with an immense struggle against the town and Roger Chillingworth. Through this
struggle she is developed into a heroine, or a woman admired for her courage,
achievements, or noble qualities; although she is not the perfect heroine because she
starts her journey at the lowest point in Puritan society, in sin. In Nathaniel Hawthorne
s The Scarlet Letter, Hester Prynne overcomes the Puritan community and Roger
Chillingworth to defy adversity and become a heroine whom everyone to admire.
Even though the Puritan society aims to discourage Hester, she finds a way to
display her pride and grace. To begin, Hester makes her way out of jail exhibiting
her dignity when appearing with the scarlet letter before the town: On the breast of
her gown, in fine red cloth surrounded with an elaborate embroidery and fantastic
flourishes of gold thread, appeared the letter A. It was so artistically done, and with
so much fertility and gorgeous luxuriance of fancy, that it had all the effect of a last

and towering minarets. There is a God, there has to be, and now I will pray, I will
pray that He forgive that I have neglected Him all of these years, forgive that I have
betrayed, lied, and sinned with impunity only to turn to Him now in my hour of
need. In this quote, Amir prays in the hospital. Sohrab has just tried to commit
suicide. Amir feels guilt not only for Sohrab s despair, but for his betrayal of
Hassan. It looks as though Amir needs to believe in God. Amir needs an agent to
provide forgiveness. It had been sunny for days, but Sunday morning, as I swung my
legs out of bed, I heard raindrops pelting the window.... I prayed
King s Speech Flaws
The King s Speech is a film that portrays the King to have a flaw. The film focuses
on the fact that no one is perfect, even the likes of Royalty. The main character is
Albert also known as Bertie , the Duke of York, who has had a speech disorder
since he was very young. His wife, Elizabeth, constantly tries to find a cure for her
husband. She then found a man named Lionel, a child speech therapist. On their
first meeting together, Lionel does all he can to prove that Bertie s speech disorder
is not permanent. Throughout the movie we realise that Bertie has not had an easy
life. As a child, his nanny rarely fed him, resulting in stomach issues, and we
constantly find that h is always mocked for his speech. His brother David, would be

How do the sets contribute to the mood the filmmakers are trying to establish? The
sets are very dark in order to gain a very serious mood amongst the characters and
to create a very dull atmosphere for the audience. The lack of light helps you to
gain a connection with the King as he is going through a very difficult time of his
life. This difficult time could be described as a very dark part of his life 4. How do
the costumes contribute to the image the filmmakers are trying to convey? The
costumes were selected accordingly to the time the movie was set in. It has a
significant role as people had clothing which served the purpose as a divider of the
different classes to symbolize wealth. 5.The extreme close up shot is used for
dramatic effect, to make the viewer think about the detail of the image. In this
example, from close up of Bertie, what are you as the director trying to achieve?
The entire shot is to portray Bertie as being very vulnerable as he is shown squashed
into the corner of each shot. 6.How did the editing of the film advance the story that
the filmmakers were trying to
The Core Principles Of Marketing Theory
Thou shalt differentiate , (Fulmer and Goodwin, 1988; Levitt, 1980; MacMillan and
McGrath, 1997) refers to a well known acclamation for one of the core principles of
marketing theory: differentiation.
Why does differentiation bear such an importance within the marketing World? To
begin with, as our World, in general, continues to develop and evolve around us, there
are many products introduced the population which can be of the same nature,
however possess a bear minimum difference which may influence us as consumers, to
favor it over its enemy. Differentiation is the first step for effective positioning and
the key, which gives consumers more value from their product.
Perceived differentiation is crucial for branding of a company s product, especially
against the many rival companies, which have very similar products to offer to the
same audience (market) with the potential ability to make or break the company s
future prosperity.
Perceived differentiation is an item constructed within consumer attitudes amongst
the marketing metrics spotlight. These metrics assist with carrying out certain
measures to benefit branding as measurement is the company s nervous system ,
pointed out by Sir Peter Davis when regarding the emphasis of companies gathering
enough knowledge about their consumer preferences.
All of these aspects and guidelines are taken into consideration when branding a
certain product to ensure that superior customer value had been created.

Should Non Citizens Have Constitutional Rights
Should Non Citizens Have the Constitutional Rights The U.S. has always been a
melting pot . People from all over the world come to the U.S. Under U.S. law, both
legal and illegal immigrants have enjoyed almost all of the same constitutional rights.
There are only few rights that only the citizens have, such as the right to vote and the
right to run for federal elections. Those exceptions are listed in the Constitution. Non
citizens should have the same constitutional rights as the U.S. citizens. If the non
citizens do enjoy the same constitutional rights with other U.S. citizens, then the
Arizona Immigration Law clearly was unconstitutional. Some people might argue that
illegal immigrants should not have any constitutional rights. There s... Show more

The law requires law enforcement officials to detain anyone whom they reasonably
suspect of being an illegal immigrant. Glenn Greenwald was a columnist for Salon.
He worked as a constitutional and civil rights litigator. Greenwald writes, If a foreign
national is arrested and accused by the U.S. Gov t of committing a crime, does
anyone believe they can be sentenced to prison without a jury trial, denied the
right...would necessarily have to claim that the U.S. Government could do all of that
to foreign nationals. The U.S. should give equal rights to everyone. Since the
Constitution specifically uses the word person instead of citizens, then non citizens
should also enjoy the equal rights. If they do then the Arizona Immigration Law was
unconstitutional. The law violated the Fourth amendment, protection against
unreasonable search and seizure . The police stopped and questioned people only
because they look like Mexicans. They did not have a probable cause and that was
clearly a violation of the Constitution. The law also violates the Fourteenth
amendment, which says that no state can deny to any person within its jurisdiction
the equal protection of the law. Under the new State law, Arizona is not giving
immigrants or Mexicans equal rights or protection, when the law enforcement
officials can question and detain any suspects without
A Study By Brigham And Women s Hospital
A 2010 study by Brigham and Women s Hospital in Boston found that one in five
teens suffer from a hearing impairment, which is an increase of 33% from 1994
(Dignan). Earbuds and headphones have contributed to these numbers since using
these at loud volumes can damage ears over time. Earbuds and headphones have
caused loss of hearing, as a result, there should be a restriction on the highest volume
they can go.
To put this into perspective, hearing is an important function of the body, taking
many components to transfer the sound throughout the ear. There are three parts of an
ear, the outer, middle, and inner ear. The sound starts in the outer ear where it is
heard, then transmitted through the auditory system toward the eardrum. The ... Show

Many international health organizations say that this is the leading disability
throughout the world and much of it can be prevented, since many of the causes
can be fixed by changing the person s approach to it. For example, if someone is
attending a concert, it would be a good idea to get earplugs according to Susan
Kaplan, an audiologist with the UC Davis health system (Meyer). However, not
many people do this and as a result, have substantial hearing loss. A symptom of
hearing loss, tinnitus, is being seen in teenagers ever increasingly suggests a study
done in Brazil ( Earbuds Threaten Hearing ). Tinnitus is ear noise like hissing,
buzzing, roaring, beating, pulsing, chirping, ringing, whistling, clicking, or
different noises in one or both ears or in the head, with no external cause. There are
two types of tinnitus, objective or subjective. Subjective is usually connected with
hearing loss, since it means only the person experiencing the problem can hear the
sounds. There are many ways to test people to see if they have tinnitus or some
kind of hearing loss. A few ways are a physical examination of the person s head
and neck, The Rinne and Weber tests, magnetic resonance angiography or
venography, or a blood count ( Tinnitus ). These can tell which ear is damaged and

Caregiving Of A Family Member With Dementia
Background
This case rooted from the lack of resources available that discussed the positive
aspects of caregiving. This study investigated the positive aspects of caregiving of
bereaved caregivers who provided care to a family member with dementia. This
study is also due to prior research suggestion that when death is preceded by a
chronic illness, disability, and high levels of caregiving strain, a sense of relief that
the care recipient s suffering has ended can counterbalance adverse bereavement
effects in terms of depression (Schulz et al., 2003, as stated in Boerner et al., 2004
p. 670). To understand both the positive and negative aspects of the bereavement
process, an understanding of the caregiving role has to be recognized. There have
been existing studies on the positive aspects of caregiving that used gratification,
satisfaction, personal gains or benefits, and uplifts and enjoyment as operational
definitions. With regard to the various stressors of caregiving, the overall caregiving
experience involves multiple facets of positive gains caregivers experience.
The purpose of this longitudinal study is due to the gap in literature that does not
connect positive aspects of caregiving to bereavement outcomes. This study
investigates the link in terms of depression and grief among older adults who took
care of family members with dementia. This study is an extension to prior research
and for this reason researchers used pre and post loss data obtained during the
Benefits Of Maple Syrup
Sauces and spices are condiments we use to add or enhance flavor to our meals.
However, some of our favorite condiments cannot be left in the pantry because,
they need to be refrigerated for longer shelf life. Maple Syrup We use maple syrup
in many culinary preparations, such as whisking it into salad dressing, sweetening
the whipped cream, stirring it into oatmeal, putting it on bacon, applying it on roast
tomatoes, and drizzling it on yogurt. If you love maple syrup and you wanted to
keep it fresh, store it in the refrigerator because it is vulnerable to molds.
Mayonnaise It is a thick and creamy dressing commonly used as a condiment.
Mayonnaise has oil, egg yolk, and vinegar or lemon juice in. This condiment has
been used in several recipes

  • 1. Career Goal Essays Crafting an essay on the subject of "Career Goal Essays" can prove to be a challenging endeavor, as it requires a delicate balance of introspection, research, and effective communication. The difficulty arises from the need to not only articulate one's career aspirations but also to weave a narrative that is both compelling and authentic. To begin with, delving into the realm of self-reflection can be a daunting task. One must sift through personal experiences, skills, and passions to distill a coherent vision for the future. This introspective journey demands a level of honesty and self-awareness that can be uncomfortable, as individuals may need to confront their strengths, weaknesses, and the motivations behind their career goals. Furthermore, the essay should transcend mere self-analysis and incorporate relevant research. This involves gaining insights into the chosen field or industry, understanding current trends, and aligning personal goals with the broader context. Integrating this research seamlessly into the essay while maintaining a personal touch can be challenging, requiring a fine balance between empirical data and individual narrative. Effective communication is another stumbling block in the process. Conveying one's aspirations in a clear, concise, and engaging manner demands a mastery of language. The writer must navigate the fine line between showcasing ambition and realism, avoiding clichГ©s and generic statements that may dilute the impact of the essay. Additionally, tailoring the essay to a specific audience, such as potential employers or academic institutions, adds another layer of complexity. Adapting the content to align with the expectations and values of the target audience requires a nuanced approach, as the same essay may not resonate equally with different readers. In conclusion, writing an essay on career goals is a multifaceted task that involves introspection, research, and effective communication. It demands a delicate balance between personal reflection and objective analysis, as well as a keen understanding of the intended audience. While challenging, the process offers an opportunity for self-discovery and growth, paving the way for a clearer and more defined path toward future aspirations. • 2. Samsung versus Apple Smartphones Compare Contrast Essay Samsung Compare and Contrast Are you a teenager? If so, then that must mean that you possess a phone, possibly a smart phone. Within this generation, the top smartphone manufactures are Apple and Samsung. However, Apple has had the edge for a while, but ever since the release of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Samsung has soared to the top. I personally admire Samsung over Apple because I own a Samsung Galaxy S4. Teenagers who favor Samsung over Apple are going to have to decide on either the Galaxy S4 or the Note 3. A majority of the people believe that the Note 3 is more so than the Galaxy S4, but they have a great deal in common. I assume that the design of the phone is the fundamental component that will draw the consumer s attention. The Galaxy S4 s dimensions are 5.38 x 2.75 x .31 inches. The S4 materializes in four different colors: black, white, brown, blue, red purple pink, and light pink. From a glimpse, you will notice that it is covered in plastic, which is actually polycarbonate chassis, it incorporates a removable rear cover, and that there is a silver trim that goes around the sides. On the front, there is a 2 megapixel front facing camera and LED notification lights. On the back, there is a 13 megapixel camera, LED flash, and speakers. The Note 3 s dimensions are 5.95 x 2.75 x .33 inches. The Note 3 is obviously larger than the S4, and from a glance, the Note 3 looks outwardly different. The Note 3 was

In the book it states that Asher has a carefree personality than in the movie. In the book Jonas is concerned for Asher s assignment, because he makes a game out of everything . Also in the bookit says that Asher ran through the standard apology phrase rapidly . So we all know that in the book Asher was very lazy, carefree and trouble. He didn t care what he did. Although in the movie when Jonas was showing Fiona an example of sledding, by sledding on a lunch tray, Asher hesitated. Jonas asked Why are you chicken and Asher said no and ran away. The book did states and ended with Jonas coming in and out of consciousness, so it may think that he is dying. But in the movie it s visualized for you, then it looks like he is definitely out of the community and some where else. In the movie it showed a little house that is the same house of the memory the giver game to him. In the middle of a wintry woods. Each and everyone of us have a bias perspective towards one thing or another whether we are brave enough to admit or not. A person becomes bias through personal experiences or things they have read or heard. My brother and I used to play mario kart together and he would refuse to play unless he had the character Wario because he thought Wario was the only good character. This was an example of him being biased against the other characters in the game. I find myself being extremely biastowards movies I watch. I love Nicholas Sparks movies and I often find myself refusing to open my mind to other romance movies not written by him. • 8. Analysis Of An Inspector Calls By Mendoza Okara... It is fair to say that, Mendoza utilises Onofre Bouvila as a character to be portrayed as a direct parallel to the development and aspirations of Barcelona. This is expressed in the novel, since; it is irrelevant how rich and powerful Onofre becomes, he will never be accepted by the social elite. This is due to the fact that, he can never be on the top rung of the social ladder literally and figuratively, due to his impoverished upbringing and working class background. corriГі hacia la mesa presidencial... These same men who asked for his money do not allow Onofre to sit at the same table with the Russian aristocrat because he does not have a noble lineage 4 (Karen Oswald pg. 54). This shows us that in this scene, Onofre aspires to sit on the top table with the Czarina. Nevertheless, even though he is incredibly powerful and considered to be the richest man in Spain, due to his deprived childhood and lower class background, he will never be able to sit on that top table. Consequently, Onofre will never reach the upper echelons of Barcelonas social elite. Therefore, it could be argued that Onofre is a metaphor for Barcelona given the fact that,
  • 9. Essay On African Slave Trade The Age of Exploration was an era that impacted us globally and shaped our world into what it is today. Resources such as spices, rum, guns and crops were used as a means to further develop a nation and to gain power over other underdeveloped nations. However, the Atlantic Slave Trade was used as the main resource to gain power in Europe. Although the African Slave Tradewas perhaps the most difficult thing a slave could go through, importing slaves to Europe was a big benefit to Europe itself along with slave owners. During the Middle Passage an average of about nearly 12.5 million enslaved Africans were transported from Africato the Americas between 1500 and 1866, and had to withstand conditions that could kill a person instantly. This, however benefitted slave owners directly as the slaves who did manage to make the trip in somewhat healthy conditions, were immediately sold and set to work at a plantation and about An average of 80 percent of these enslaved Africans men, women, and children were employed, mostly as field workers. Plantations ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In other words, the reason for the purpose of slavery is simply greed. English men saw a way to profit their pockets without having to do any work themselves. The work that the slaves did was tiring, and ultimately unfair. Slaves were expected to work at plantations and some were even expected to do sewing. Fannie Moore held a candle for light so her mother could sew quilts at night. Slave owners had to do little to no work to be able to allow their country to progress. They dehumanized and mistreated human beings for their own benefit. Some slaves were even rented out to other families so they could cook, clean and care for their children. A former slave in Nashville said she was required to cook, chop in the fields, chop wood, bring water, wash, and iron. She was six years old at the

Expect them to be in a wheel chair at around during their early teens. It is also know that it takes longer for them to start walking, which means they barely walk during their lives. They even have a hard time raising their arms and fall often if they were walking. They might struggle to climb up the stairs or it may not even be worth the trouble. The worst case scenario is Cardiopathy because DMD causes damage to the heart. To further elaborate, the lacking of dystrophin results to weakening of the muscle layer in the heart which is called myocardium. This situation could indeed threaten their life. DMD has also affected the way they learn verbally and they even have a hard time focusing. It was said that there are huge masses of Fremen there along with giant sandworms reaching a length of four hundred and fifty meters. The Fremen harvested spice, lived in the cities and in underground cities. Their eyes were bright blue on blue due to the saturation of the spice which changed their colour. The beginning of this book was very interesting and told me much about each characters background and personality. He was to bring a new era along with his leadership. This frightened the Emperor that forced him to act against the Atreides family. The Harkonnen s seemed a bit too uninteresting and average to me. They were evil and hated all that was good. The author should of added a bit more spice to their characters. This would of made the story

My mother had met my stepfather before anyone had brought up the word divorce . She had a child with this man while still being married to my father. I didn t find out who s child this was until months after he had been born. Who is going to break that news to a nine year old boy? From my experience, I believe I learned so many lessons on growing up. The lessons that have truly stuck with me though are independence, being less judgmental, and motivation. I learned that if you want to be successful in life, you are going to have to be self efficient. Going in between houses constantly taught me that if you want something you are going to have to do it by yourself one way or the other. With everything being separated, I would have to make plans accordingly. Such as if there was something I needed to or wanted to wear, I had to find out where it would be and if it had been cleaned. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They have shown me by forgiving my mother for her fault that you always need to be accepting of others and the lifestyle they lead. Always forgive and forget or else you will get nowhere in this

On the Bank of the Seine Bennecourt Formal Analysis Shane Cratty A Beautiful Day on the River Seine April 17th, 2012 Art 1.2 Section 4136 On the Bank of the Seine, Bennecourt by the French painter Claude Monet is one of the few great paintings that truly embody Impressionism. On the Bank of the Seine, Bennecourt was painted in 1868 on the Seine River in the Northwestern Portion of France. Created with oil on canvas and standing at thirty two inches tall by thirty nine and two thirds inches wide, this painting depicts Monet s future wife, Camille Doncieux, gazing across the Seine River at a village not too far off in the distance. The ability this painting has to capture the eye is amazing and unique, and allows you to fully appreciate the Impressionist Art Movement. In this piece, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The artist creates color harmonies and contrasts throughout the whole peace which gives it a strange balance overall. The texture of the painting itself is probably rough. The artist makes no great attempt at conveying implied texture to the viewer. It seems as though implying texture may detract from the overall attitude of the piece. Altogether texture doesn t play a huge role in this work of art. Claude Monet s use of the illusionary space in this image is actually quite amazing. At first glance, your eye is drawn towards the left side of the painting, due to the amount of large and bulky objects in the foreground. Suddenly though your eyes turn to Camille; the woman gazing into the distance. As she stares off into the distance she acts a point to redirect the focus of the piece past the water and into the village across the river. This painting has a surprising power in that it is ability to fully mesmerize and captivate the viewer in a way few pieces of art can. The use of line in this piece is also very interesting. The artist employs a high horizontal line to create a plunging effect giving the piece more depth. Another use of lines in the image is to create focal points to attract the viewer. Lines are also used to separate the different sections of the painting. Overall this painting uses lines in dynamic ways that vastly enhance the viewers pleasure and admiration of the piece.

  • 25. The Need For Loss Of Weight Essay The need for loss of weight is a very common issue in the world today. Losing weight is usually a goal made on New Years and forgotten after that time. The truth is that you will have to make many changes to lose weight and keep it off. The 10 day diets only are temporary and most of them take nutrients and other important components from your body that cannot be replenished. Your first goal when trying to lose weight is to make a plan and stick to it. This includes changing your diet and exercise. A diet may not mean starving yourself, but it does require self control. In this era, where fast food rules, you must have discipline and chose meals that are healthy and eat smaller portions. You must eat at specific times and not eat late at night or right before you go to bed. If you eat and then sleep, there is no time to burn the calories that you just ate. Eat smaller meals. It may take some research to find out what meals are for you, but you can find a program that will work for you. The second and just as important part of losing weight is exercise. Most individuals who go on a crash diet forget one thing. You can lose all the weight you want, but without a consistent exercise program, you will gain it back. Exercise can be as little as walking for 30 minutes every day up to a 2 hour workout with a physical trainer. This will help your health and make you feel better about yourself. It will tone your body and help your heart and lungs. And without exercise that you

Portrayal Of Female Characters Of Hayao Miyazaki s Films The Portrayal of Female Characters in Hayao Miyazaki s Films By Muhammad Aiman Mohd Zin I remembered the first time I was introduced to one of Miyazaki s most prominent animation film, Spirited Away (2001). The film absolutely captured the essence of what a fantasy world should be. I was mesmerized by the characters, the style, the animation movement and the whole entire world. It was as if the world probably existed somewhere, hidden from the reality we live in. I was hooked with Miyazaki s work since then. The influences of Miyazaki s work has driven me to follow my dream as an animator. I realized that the reason why I love most of Miyazaki s work is because of his in depth characters development. He managed to give life to the characters he created hence, making the viewer more connected with the story he directed. For my thesis, I will analyze how Miyazaki portrays female characters in his movies. The female character that I would analyze are from Miyazaki s film entitled Princess Mononoke (1997), Spirited Away(2001) and Laputa: Castle in the Sky (1986). Princess Mononoke was one of the highest grossing film in Japan during the year it was released in 1997. The film is about a warrior named Ashitaka, who sets on a journey to find balance and peace between the struggle of the forest God and the human greed who consume its resources. As much as I d like to elaborate more on Ashitaka s character, I found myself more compelled with the portrayal of Lady Eboshi in the

  • 29. The Unexamined Life Is Not Worth Living b) The unexamined life is not worth living , quoted Socrates. It appears that, following his brilliant logic, the key to living philosophically is exactly how one interprets and scrutinizes their own life in a philosophical context. As with the nature of philosophy itself, living philosophically is also ambiguous, and it could very well be that one lives philosophically even if they do not necessarily realize it. Take, for instance, a person who questions why humans and all life forms must die; or one who ponders their true meaning in life are they not thinking philosophically? Regardless of whether or not they actually study philosophy, they are still critically thinking about the nature of being and existence in an interpretive, between the lines way. If they genuinely reach a conclusion about these topics, they can expand upon them by applying them towards real world scenarios in effect, they would truly live philosophically every day. One may argue that individuals need not actively think about philosophical themes, but rather, perform and apply those ideas subconsciously into their lives. It thus should be valid that a person who is being in the world , living around an intensely dedicated focal practice in a hobby or profession, lives philosophically as well. In this case, their entire self, style, and genuine, original being, is imprinted upon their particular art or craft. They do not merely mold themselves into their work, but they essentially become
  • 30. Historical Analysis Of Of Beowulf s Poem, Beowulf, Sir... The study of British literature is an incredible journey that begins with battles against Anglo Saxon monsters and takes us on a journey to a time where writers try to tackle modern problems. Along the way we come across characters such as Beowulf, Sir Gawain, King Arthur and other legends who remain a vital part of popular culture. History offers us a variety of heroes and legends that we can read and learn about. The historical poem of Beowulf not only reveals to us the importance cultural values of the warrior society, but also the importance of literature. The warrior culture at this time reflects the values of the society of the 6th century. There are a couple of key features of Beowulf s characterization that reflect what was important in Anglo Saxon society. For example. Beowulf comes across as arrogant and bigheaded, but Anglo Saxon society valued the daring and confident young man who was proud of his actions and could use his past experiences and journeys to motivate himself toward future success. Our modern world leans towards modesty rather than arrogance. Anglo Saxon society also believed in a concept of revenge that resulted in a vicious cycle. If someone killed one of your men, you were obligated to avenge their death, but then that group could come back and avenge that death and so on. This is shown in Beowulf by the killing of Grendel and then Grendel s mother seeking revenge. The only reason this cycle was broken is because there wasn t anyone else to

Ginsberg strongly disputed capitalism and conformity that notably consisted of sexual repression, so he incorporated in the development of counterculture and challenged the heteronormative, procreation driven society and was done with living at society s limits. The idea of beat literature has a capricious form, although, also considers the customary narration techniques, and indeed masculinist and heterosexist prospects. The Beat generation indicates an individual that has been put down, or has been oppressed around with deviated norms. Why does differentiation bear such an importance within the marketing World? To begin with, as our World, in general, continues to develop and evolve around us, there are many products introduced the population which can be of the same nature, however possess a bear minimum difference which may influence us as consumers, to favor it over its enemy. Differentiation is the first step for effective positioning and the key, which gives consumers more value from their product. • 45. Should Non Citizens Have Constitutional Rights Should Non Citizens Have the Constitutional Rights The U.S. has always been a melting pot . People from all over the world come to the U.S. Under U.S. law, both legal and illegal immigrants have enjoyed almost all of the same constitutional rights. There are only few rights that only the citizens have, such as the right to vote and the right to run for federal elections. Those exceptions are listed in the Constitution. Non citizens should have the same constitutional rights as the U.S. citizens. If the non citizens do enjoy the same constitutional rights with other U.S. citizens, then the Arizona Immigration Law clearly was unconstitutional. Some people might argue that illegal immigrants should not have any constitutional rights. There s... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The law requires law enforcement officials to detain anyone whom they reasonably suspect of being an illegal immigrant. Glenn Greenwald was a columnist for Salon. He worked as a constitutional and civil rights litigator. Greenwald writes, If a foreign national is arrested and accused by the U.S. Gov t of committing a crime, does anyone believe they can be sentenced to prison without a jury trial, denied the right...would necessarily have to claim that the U.S. Government could do all of that to foreign nationals. The U.S. should give equal rights to everyone. Since the Constitution specifically uses the word person instead of citizens, then non citizens should also enjoy the equal rights. If they do then the Arizona Immigration Law was unconstitutional. The law violated the Fourth amendment, protection against unreasonable search and seizure . The police stopped and questioned people only because they look like Mexicans. They did not have a probable cause and that was clearly a violation of the Constitution. The law also violates the Fourteenth amendment, which says that no state can deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the law. Under the new State law, Arizona is not giving immigrants or Mexicans equal rights or protection, when the law enforcement officials can question and detain any suspects without
  • 46. A Study By Brigham And Women s Hospital A 2010 study by Brigham and Women s Hospital in Boston found that one in five teens suffer from a hearing impairment, which is an increase of 33% from 1994 (Dignan). Earbuds and headphones have contributed to these numbers since using these at loud volumes can damage ears over time. Earbuds and headphones have caused loss of hearing, as a result, there should be a restriction on the highest volume they can go. To put this into perspective, hearing is an important function of the body, taking many components to transfer the sound throughout the ear. There are three parts of an ear, the outer, middle, and inner ear. The sound starts in the outer ear where it is heard, then transmitted through the auditory system toward the eardrum. The ... Many international health organizations say that this is the leading disability throughout the world and much of it can be prevented, since many of the causes can be fixed by changing the person s approach to it. For example, if someone is attending a concert, it would be a good idea to get earplugs according to Susan Kaplan, an audiologist with the UC Davis health system (Meyer). However, not many people do this and as a result, have substantial hearing loss. A symptom of hearing loss, tinnitus, is being seen in teenagers ever increasingly suggests a study done in Brazil ( Earbuds Threaten Hearing ). Tinnitus is ear noise like hissing, buzzing, roaring, beating, pulsing, chirping, ringing, whistling, clicking, or different noises in one or both ears or in the head, with no external cause. There are many ways to test people to see if they have tinnitus or some kind of hearing loss. A few ways are a physical examination of the person s head and neck, The Rinne and Weber tests, magnetic resonance angiography or venography, or a blood count ( Tinnitus ). These can tell which ear is damaged and even
  • 47. Caregiving Of A Family Member With Dementia Background This case rooted from the lack of resources available that discussed the positive aspects of caregiving. This study investigated the positive aspects of caregiving of bereaved caregivers who provided care to a family member with dementia. This study is also due to prior research suggestion that when death is preceded by a chronic illness, disability, and high levels of caregiving strain, a sense of relief that the care recipient s suffering has ended can counterbalance adverse bereavement effects in terms of depression (Schulz et al., 2003, as stated in Boerner et al., 2004 p. 670). To understand both the positive and negative aspects of the bereavement process, an understanding of the caregiving role has to be recognized. There have been existing studies on the positive aspects of caregiving that used gratification, satisfaction, personal gains or benefits, and uplifts and enjoyment as operational definitions. With regard to the various stressors of caregiving, the overall caregiving experience involves multiple facets of positive gains caregivers experience. The purpose of this longitudinal study is due to the gap in literature that does not connect positive aspects of caregiving to bereavement outcomes. This study investigates the link in terms of depression and grief among older adults who took care of family members with dementia. This study is an extension to prior research and for this reason researchers used pre and post loss data obtained during the
