Job crafting is modifying a job to make it more engaging and meaningful for the jobholder. Furthermore, job crafting is done by the employee. They attempt to make constructive changes to their job, either by how they think about their job or what they do in their job . Three drivers for job crafting are to: • gain more control over work • engage more in the work and • develop better connections with others at work. These motivations lead to reshaping one’s job. In this webinar, we look at how job crafting can be done easily to accommodate one's strengths on the job. This work comes from Dr. Tim Baker's book, "Breaking the Proactive Paradox: Maximizing Performance Through Empowerment."
