The Value Of a Veteran, a verified Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), stands ready to assist your
organization to increase the number of transitioning military, veterans and military spouses hired and retained.
Our seven years of direct experience with educating and training employers on how to recruit and retain
veterans confirms that there are a significant number of companies that want to hire veterans, but struggle
with understanding their skills and how those skills translate to civilian positions. These employers also have
concerns about accommodating PTSD and other disabilities in the workplace.
Education and awareness are key to changing how employers
view and value military service.
Qualification and Experience of Responder
Founded in 2007, The Value Of a Veteran is a human resources training and consulting firm that specializes in
educating employers on how to recruit and retain veterans.
We were the first company to create commercially available comprehensive training expressly for employers,
human resources professionals and hiring managers that covered all aspects of veteran recruitment and
retention.
Our content is the only one available that was developed by someone with both significant military
experience AND staffing/recruiting experience, making it both relevant and realistically actionable for
recruiters and managers to implement. Others have attempted to replicate our content and format, but fall
short when staffing professionals start asking HR-related questions.
We blend “high-tech” delivery with “high-touch” engagement, challenging participants to examine their
beliefs and perceptions of the knowledge, skills and abilities taught through military service.
Our training is already approved for Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) re-certification credits.
In our most recent 3 years (2013-2015) The Value Of a Veteran has been directly engaged with the military
recruiting programs of more than 150 large companies (5,000+ employees). 72 of those companies are ranked
on the 2015 Fortune 500 list. We have worked with more than 300 Fortune-1000 size companies since our
founding in 2007. A list of employers available upon request.
