2. LOCATION CHOICE
I will be using Canary Wharf as a significant location due
to the familiarity with my target audience. My initial idea
is to film the couple walking through the Cross Rail
Palace walk way , as I feel that this location fits the brief
of my music video. Due to the dull, mundane, bleak
colours of the location this will add to the specific
narrative of the music video, and reflect the characters
emotions, which will have an affect on the audience
watching the music video. The mise en scene of the
location connotes a clinical atmosphere due to the grey
scale colours of the setting.

4. GETTING THERE
I will be commuting to Canary Wharf using public
transport. Therefor I have planned the route that I
will be taking. I will be meeting with my actors at 7
o’clock in the evening , as I would like to film in
when it is dark out side. I would like to do this as I
feel that the artificial lighting of the city will create
a bleak lighting affect for my footage, which will
fortunately add to the brief.
6. SURROUNDING AREAS
When filming my music video at Crossrail Place, I will also be aware
of the modern scenery. I will therefore be capturing footage of the
surrounding areas around Crossrail Place, other than the walk way.
As you can see from the pictures that I have collected there is a
similar colour scheme of grey tones, portraying a futuristic location. I
recently visited the location and noticed how cutting edge the
architecture appeared. By including this in my music video, this will
make my music video appear modern and current, which will attract
my target audience.
As my music video deals with our society, and societal reaction to
certain strange individuals, I feel that using Canary Wharf/Crossrail
Place as a location portrays our society and how modern and
structures it appears.
The location acts as a metaphor, reflecting our society as structured
and confined.
