Tell me about yourself.
1. What are your strengths?
My strengths would be my physical strength, it helps when I half to do work around and about.
Also another one of my strengths would be my will power, because when I set out to do something I
plan on doing it no matter what. Another strength of mine would be that I know how to do a lot of
things for different things that I might run into in the future.
What are your weaknesses?
A weakness of mine would be that I am more hands on than I am with books. Also one of my
weaknesses would be schooling because it is just difficult the way the board of education has everything
now. Another weakness of mine would be being told what to do I don’t do well with someone acting like
they own me and can control me.
2. What are your ambitions for the future?
I am striving for the Marines, I already have an eight year contract sworn in. I plan on doing this
career for a while so I can have a purpose and something that I stand for. I also plan to go to school for
my future career while I am in the Marines so I will be well prepared when I retire from that career.
3. As a student, do you enjoy school? Why or why not?
Not really, because the way the board of education has it now its ridiculous, they make
everything so difficult now unlike what it used to be. Also when it comes to the eoc’s, vocat’s, etc. they
act like they don’t know what they are doing because they just throw stuff together in them.
4. What are your favorite subjects and why?
Science, because it was more hands on unlike the other classes they make us take here in
school. If I am in a class I want to enjoy it not dread going into the room. Also the way they put classes
together now its like they are trying to smother people too much, so science would be my favorite
subject for that reason of hands on tasks.
5. How would you describe your personality?
I work hard, also I am very active, I also am a person that likes to do things.
6. How would your teachers describe you?
They would describe me as active and very open minded.
7. What are some of your extracurricular activities?
The extracurricular activities that I have done were rotc, track, and wrestling, those were the
extracurricular activities I have done.
8. In your lifetime, what has been your greatest accomplishment? Why?
The greatest accomplishment I have done would be that I’ve joined the Marines. It is my
greatest accomplishment because I can go far in this career, and I can learn so much and do so much
with them. Also when I retire from the Marines, I will be set for any job I want to go into.
9. What has been your greatest disappointment?
My greatest disappointments would be my parents, because my mom and dad split when I was six
and didn’t get to see my dad as much and when I did see him it was only for three days. Also because
every time I was around one of them they would talk bad about each other and when they were near
each other they would argue. That’s my reason they are my greatest disappointments.
10. Would you rather be in charge of a project or work as part of the team? Why?
I would rather work as part of a team, because you can learn more if you are doing the project with
other people. Also you can get to know the people on your team better than you would being in charge
of them. The project would get done quicker and would have more in it. Also because I would be able to
put my own work into the project and be able to help others.
11. What careers are you interested in and why?
The career I am interested in is the Marines, because it means a lot to me to be apart of something
real and meaningful. It will give me so much more knowledge with what is going on around the world
and let me travel the world. It will also give me the opportunity to defend my country and give my name
meaning.
12. Tell me what you know about this career.
This career is very dangerous, it will have me putting bullets in people, it will have people shooting
at me, it will have explosives that will show up when you least expect it. Also this career has other
people using other people to try to kill you and your team. I will see things that I won’t want to see but I
well half to see these things because of me being infantry.
13. Have you ever shadowed before?
When my grandfather was alive until he died when I was fourteen. He was a father figure to me
until that time when my father and mother divorced.
14. Why do you think you would like to shadow?
He taught me almost everything I know how to do, he taught me respect, he helped for me into the
person I am today. It helps build who you are and learn things and build a bond with someone that is
close to you.
15. What do you expect to learn from shadowing?
Any and everything I don’t know that I want to learn to help me with any and everything I run into in
the future of my life.
16. Are you presently working anywhere? Do you enjoy your work?
I presently work at a Wal-Mart supercenter in Smithfield. I do sometimes but most of the time it
gets very aggravating due to people that don’t act like they have any sense and act their shoe size
instead of their age.
17. Do you have your own transportation?
I have my own transportation, I own a car that is in my name, it is a Nissan 240sx, I pay the taxes on
my car, I also put the gas in my car, and I also pay my own insurance bill.
