APPROACH..
• The team focused on a problem faced by many youngsters
especially bloggers, youtubers and young cinematographers-
STABLE VIDEO RECORDING.
• Due to the lack of such equipment, the videos recorded are
not stable. Hence , the team came up with a miniature model
of the existing sophisticated machines used in the mainstream
film industry.
• The CAM BOT is a stable video recording device that provides
cinematic shots. It is designed to work with minimum human
intervention and hence, eliminates human errors.

It is a still from the video where cambot is recording a
video of the ‘subject’ cube.
Components
• The major part of this part contains mechanical components
and few other components like-
• MDF BOARD
• TIMING BELT
• PVC PIPES
• BEARINGS, NUTS , BOLTS AND WASHERS.
• STEPPER MOTORS
• ARDUINO UNO,MOTOR DRIVER AND BATTERIES
• JOYSTICK
Working..
• The bot moves along two axes and a provision for third one
has been given.
• Motion along two axes gives slide and pan option to the bot.
• Using the very stable stepper motor and motor drivers, the
bot moves with minimum amount of vibration and possesses
high degree of control.
• The motion , direction and its speed can be controlled using a
joystick module.
• The bot runs on a power supply of 7V from lithium ion
batteries.
Future scope
• The team plans to make it completely semi-autonomous.
• The plan is also to add the motion along third axis.
• We have decided to replace the joystick module with a
Bluetooth or RC module so that the bot can be controlled
from a distance.
• We also want to connect the video recording device wirelessly
to the control module so that the recording can be done
seamlessly.
• The team would like to test it’s usage by co- ordinating with
short film makers and look into necessary changes or
modifications if any.
