CONTRIBUTION
• Wrote the famous Aryabhattiya which contains mathematical and
astronomical theories that have been revealed quite accurate in
modern mathematics. For instace, the value of Pi (3.14159).
• Create Zero in number.
• He also worked on the approximation for pi , and may have come to
the conclusion that pi is irrational.
• He gave the area of a triangle as perpendicular with the half-side is
the area.
• He also discussed the concept of sine in his work by the name of
ardha-jya, which literally means "half-chord".
• He provided elegant results for the summation of series of squares
and cubes.
• He was the first person to say that Earth is spherical and it revolves
around the sun.
• He gave the formula (a + b)2 = a2 + b2 + 2ab.
• Include the theory that the earth rotates on its axis.

the world. Each one of his achievements had a great
impact. Aryabhata deserves to win the Nobel Prize for
all the tremendous work he did that changed his world
as well as ours.
