The objective of the project is to apply different machining process to provide good quality as well as non
defective valve(product) and improved performance solution to the existing product without affecting the
functionality of the product. After analyzing machining details of every component , it was concluded that
milling cutters , bolting methods had more scope for reducing parameters like flatness, surface finish as well as
parallelism . By using various process, we were able to reduce lead time by 10 days, thereby increasing the
productivity and hence substantial reduction in production cost.
