Operation:
Measure the gravity of the cube,
Hang the cube in the different liquids and measure the resultant force,
Repeat the experiment with the nuts
 If you put an object in a liquid and you compare the resultant force with the gravity
you notice that it decreases.
 The weight reduction of an object in a liquid is the strongest in oil.
 On Mars, gravity is less than on Earth. If distilled water represents the conditions
on Earth, which liquid represents the conditions on Mars? Oil.
Our results are the same in the theory, but different in practise: in fact, we know that
weight reduction is bigger in a liquid; but we note that is more evident in oil, while
for them in salt water.
So, if the density is lower, the pulling-up force the object receives in a liquid is
stronger and that’s why the buoyancy changes, making the object float.
Also, if the pulling-up force is higher, the force that we measure is lower.
Finally, we can affirm that an object immersed in a liquid receives a pulling-up force
upwards equal to the weight of the moved liquid.
The liquid is a support
so gravity is less than
without liquid
