3. EARLY COLLEGE MEETING:
Students in grades 10-12 interested in enrolling in the
Early College Program for Spring 2017, should attend
this meeting on Wed., Sept. 21, during recess in the
Conference Room. Potential course offerings will be
Speech 151 and Psych 100. This meeting will cover
the courses and next steps for applying. To pick up an
application, or get more information before this
meeting, please stop by Mrs. Dolan’s office.
4. UPCOMING COLLEGE VISITS:
Chaminade University of Honolulu, University of
Hawaii-Manoa, Hawaii Tokai International College,
University of Northern Colorado, Boston College,
Linfield College, Portland State University, and
University of Pennsylvania will be visiting next week.

5. HAWAII FUTURE PHYSICIAN SYMPOSIUM:
If you are interested in medicine, you may want to
attend this symposium on Saturday, September 24th ,
from 9am to noon at Eyesight Hawaii in the Dole
Cannery Building. There will be a doctors’ panel and a
session with medical students who talk about getting
into Med School.

6. JUNIORS & SENIORS:
The SAT/ACT prep classes began this week, meeting
2-3 times a week. There is an option for an SAT only
class (7 sessions) or combined SAT/ACT class (12
sessions). The class is geared towards the October
SAT and ACT test dates for the seniors, and the
spring test dates for the juniors.

7. FALL BREAK COLLEGE TOUR:
The tour will be held October 6-11 and will be in
conjunction with St. Louis School.
8. SOCCER:
First day of practice for the Intermediate team is on
Monday, October 10th , and on Monday, October 31st, for
the Varsity team.
9. NHS TUTORING:
Tutoring session times during lunch and after school
in the HS Library’s Collaboration Room are as
follows:
12:40–1:25PM
2:45–3:30PM
1:30–2:15PM (Wednesdays)
10. PHOTO RETAKE/MAKE-UP:
Wednesday, September 28th will be the final photo
day with Portraits of Hawaii.
Students who purchased packages, the purchased
packages must be returned intact. The photo
session will be held in the Conference Room after
school (1:15pm).
