Razorfish Scrum for Teams and Organizations Software Architect Conference 2013. If you’ve ever worked on a software project, this question should sound familiar. You’ve spent time rewriting schedules, cutting features and explaining The Mythical; Man-Month, the widely cited 1975 software bible. Its central principle is the slightly counterintuitive idea that adding manpower to a software project slows delivery. This may make you wonder what will speed up projects. Consider examining your tools and processes to see if there’s a faster way of getting things done. In this talk I will propose a cross-disciplinary process of applying scrum on your projects.

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.

Chrome is driving innovation on the Web. Connectivity: More efficient connectivity means more real-time chats, faster games, and better communication. Web Sockets and Server-Sent Events are pushing (pun intended) data between client and server more efficiently than ever before. Between SVG, Canvas, WebGL, and CSS3 3D features, you're sure to amaze your users with stunning visuals natively rendered in the browser. Beginning with the Geolocation API, Web Applications can present rich, device-aware features and experiences. Incredible device access innovations are being developed and implemented, from audio/video input access to microphones and cameras, to local data such as contacts & events, and even tilt orientation. CSS3 delivers a wide range of stylization and effects, enhancing the web app without sacrificing your semantic structure or performance. Additionally Web Open Font Format (WOFF) provides typographic flexibility and control far beyond anything the web has offered before. Offline & Storage: App Cache, as well as the Local Storage, Indexed DB, and the File API specifications. Performance: Make your Web Apps and dynamic web content faster with a variety of techniques and technologies such as Web Workers and XMLHttpRequest 2. No user should ever wait on your watch. Audio and video are first class citizens in the HTML5 web, living in harmony with your apps and sites. Lights, camera, action! Semantics: Giving meaning to structure, semantics are front and center with HTML5. A richer set of tags, along with RDFa, microdata, and microformats, are enabling a more useful, data driven web for both programs and your users.
CWS users used the WGT applications, and more than 25% have registered accounts on WGT. Chrome users play 23% more than those from other WGT advertising sources, and are buying virtual goods on WGT at a exceptionally high rate of 147% more than average. Jeff says, noting that the average time on site is more than 10 minutes for all web app users, and almost 20 minutes for Chrome users. “This higher time of engagement translates directly to more items saved by our users,” Jeff continues, explaining that the Chrome Web Store app launch, along with newly introduced Springpad features, has contributed to an increased ratio of items saved per user – from 4:1 to 9:1.
